    RODE ME has new audio gain feature and MIC on receiver unit but no digital display, no onboard recording. RODE GO II is what I wish for with digital display, longer range and onboard recorder. I guess I wait.... for a new GO III with audio gain feature from ME with MIC on receiver unit. Don't mind to pay more. I think RODE's did drop the ball on RODE ME for not include digital display on receiver.

      It was totally for cutting down the costs and making it under 200 usd to compete with many other wireless mics on the market. But I'll do the same, waiting for the Go III with those features !

    Great comparison of the two systems. I already have the Go II and I love it. The ME looks interesting but the GO II does everything I need. I like the app though. Recording both cameras is very dope.

      Really cool the app really! Yeah, me too, for what I need the Rode II is better, but I can see lots of people going for the ME for the price tag and this auto magic gain feature is fireeee, wish they update it on the Rode II also.

    Thanks, this was super helpful! Another reason to perhaps consider the ME over the Go II is if you just need a transmitter to use with the RodeCaster Pro II. In that case, you won't use the included receiver -- the RodeCaster Pro II plays the role of the receiver.

    Hello. I have Wireless Me already but I want to add one Wireless Go II transmitter to my setup. (I couldn't find single ME transmitter in shops thats why) As I know go 2 support internal record. But it records on transmitter or receiver? May I able to use that feature even when I add Go2 transmitter to my Me Receiver?

      Any of them will work, all you need is to connect on the USB-C and you're good to go ! They are all the same size and weight also, so no difference there also. If you'd like to have a microphone on the receiver also, connected to the phone, than the ME is better.

    Hey! Really informative, although I had a question.
    So I'm a DJ and for capturing footage fro the events, I recently bought Insta360 X3.
    In order to ensure that the sound is good, I've been thunking to buy a mic for it but I unfortunately am sure how this set would work.
    I've been thinking to get Wireless ME because of their ''gain assist technology'' because of the loud music.
    So if I was to buy Wireless ME, then how would be the setup?
    Since I'm standing away from the guests behind my DJ booth. Would my insta360 with Wireless ME be able to capture clear sound from dancefloor and the guests in the venue even though both transmitter and receiver is near me?
    Sorry for all these questions, I'm new to it. How would this work in my case?

    • @FlyEnri
      @FlyEnri  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi ! Yeah, you could use it no problem, but there's an adapter for the Insta360 X3 so you can connect an external microphone to it. This way, the receiver that stays connected to the camera is hidden in the safe area, and the transmitter you can place anywhere in the room. If you believe from behind the desk, the audio from the dance floor is already good, you can use the input from the microphone on the receiver, but if it's not, you can try to find somewhere safe around the room to place the transmitter and get the audio wirelessly from there.

    Hello .... Thank you for your very-very informative video. At 5.15 you say that once you use 2 transmitters & 1 receiver you have to merge the transmitters 2xTX into one channnel.
    How about keeping the RX reciever's MIC , off ..... What happens then ? When you are using/recording only two (2) transmitters TX ...... is it possible for them to be recorded in two seperate channels so you can work with them in post seperately ?
    Thank you for your time.

    1) Rode Wireless PRO being GHz,will our mobiles,wi-fi etc.interfear with it's signals, so that the voice gets affected?( Not saying about feed back, but about interferences from other signals )
    2) Can Rode Wireless PRO receiver be connected directly to the sound amplifier or is it possible only through a mixer ?

    I can see how this will be great for doing interviews with one person in front of the camera and one behind.
    What about doing an interview where both are on camera in front of the camera. Would a second transmitter sound quality be reduced as it can only be coupled on the same channel as the first transmitter?
    Is there anyway to use the receiver? I'm wondering how if it is attached to the iPhone / camera.

    • @FlyEnri
      @FlyEnri  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, very hard to use the receiver in this case ! The quality would be the same if you paired a second transmitter... But yeah, definitely not meant for 2 people on camera!

    • @FlyEnri
      @FlyEnri  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you need 2 people in front of the camera I guess a better solution would be to get a Rode II, use both transmitters and if there's ever a third person behind the camera use something else, like a Zoom recorder... You'd spend about 400 USD like this. The dual ME solution about 300, but I'd say probably you'll have more use for the Zoom recorder than a second receiver.
