I toured the Lady Lex some time ago and I will say that it was the most interesting, fascinating and educational tour of its type I have ever taken. Kudos to all involved with her today and yesterday.

RIP Bob. You were a hero in so many ways. Bob touched the lives of every person he met. When he needed irrigation work done he would drive to our shop and sit down and have an inspiring conversation every time. He was a generous man always tipping our guys working in the heat. Once he bought me a huge box of chocolates just for doing my job. It broke my heart to hear he passed. I just spoke with him. Such a good man!! He will be missed by many.

I might have met Bob on the Lexington in 2006 when my father and I toured it. There was an old guy inside somewhere we talked with. He seemed old as dirt but had a bunch of stories! My old neighbor is 96 this year. He served during the occupation of Japan in the late 40’s. We are about out of the greatest generation to ever live. It’s terrifying to question if America had to fight in a similar situation today could our woke, transgender, Black Lives Matter, Antifa, disability, homeless drug addicts pull their crap together to fight for our country? 😢

Amazing! My Grandfather served on the USS Bennington during WWII. For years and years he would tell me stories from the war, the ship hitting a whale during rhe typhoon, the japanese aircraft that flew over the deck but his bomb was jammed, etc. What an incredible group of proud sailors. The best in the world and we’re lucky we had them serving our nation. My grandfather passed away in 2019. I miss him every day. Best of luck to Bob. What a great story.

General inspection officers of WWII are need to restore a Texas native to return back to duty. Even if it's just to patrol the gulf of Mexico.
