As a fan of retro style, I must say that this look is stunning. At first I don't think the makeup is "retro" enough for me but then after you did your hair, everything fell into place. Really gorgeous.
I used to be like that, because my hair is super straight, I started to do smaller and tighter curls and sprayed straight after, then when I brush them out I'd spray them again and surprisingly they stay until next morning!
I've watched I-don't-know-how-many dozens of pin-up tutorials and this one is by far the clearest and most succinct. Great job, mama, I'm subscribing for sure!
You look so so so so super duper painstakingly pretty here! Gorgeous! And i like it that you dont overly have the cakey kind of makeup! Simply gorgeous!!
So great! And, it's a small thing, but I love how slowly you tease your hair, so it's more like lacing then the rapid/damaging motions I see everyone else do. Love it!
What I like most about your videos is that, you go straight to the point while at the same time doing what you're saying. Unlike many other vids, they do talk a lot first. If you get what I mean. Anyway, thank you so much for the tutorial! Godbless!
You are soooo cool and pretty and prompt. You did two tutorials one of them being quite a complex one, in 7:53 mins. Wow!!!! You go girl. And I love your dress, love that colour, periwinkle. (y)
You are amazing!!! I've followed you're tutorial for a TV show I was doing that needed a 1950s look. I filmed it to, it's not as detailed as I didn't have much time between shows. I've popped a thank you in my description to you, just fabulous. You made it so easy. Xxx
This was such a wonderful tutorial! I never do my hair or makeup, and I used your tutorial to get ready for a Back to the Future themed party last night, and everyone was so impressed with my hair. It was super easy to do, and the results were amazing. Thank you!!
I would love to look that beautiful! We all have to work with what we have got! But for all us normal girls you must always keep in your mind, people we see on TV have wigs, hair extensions, botox, etc so much stuff most woman can't afford to pay for!
Words can't describe how adorable and helpful this vid was to me. We have the same hair texture it looks like and now I know how to create volumized victory curls!
Honestly, victory rolls are NOT easy to do. She only makes it look easy becasue she has done it over and over and over. Victory rolls is like learning to ride a bike. Its seriously frustrating at first, but you will get the hang of it in the end!
you may have just saved me from hen-do disaster!! My brothers fiance wanted to do rockabilly for her hen do and I have been so stressed out about "THE HAIR" !! But this may have saved my life. I love you haha. thanks :)
So glad to have found this! I'm a model on the west coast and am used to having my hair and make done for me, but today I have a pinup shoot and have to do my own hair and makeup. I was super nervous but you made it seem really easy and straightforward. Thanks so much! I will definitely send pics when I get access to them!
Absolutely! Just take the sections from the hair behind your bangs and leave the bangs styled as you normally do. If you have shorter face framing layers, leave those out too, or else they may stick out and be hard to work with :).
Lo Lo victory rolls tray lean more towards the forty’s. In the 59s women kept their hair a little shorter. They were actually much more casual, all though they wore brighter cloths and wore more dutiable materials. The war kinda prevent style in the forty’s from really taking off.
this is definitely the best tutorial for victory rolls I have ever seen. it was explained so well and unlike other videos I actually understood how to do it
O-M-G. I love you. (By the way, I'm an illustrator, I love observing people and that's why I also say what I think when I think that someone's pretty. And you are REALLY beautiful, I want to draw now! You've inpired me!) Btw, I've got a wedding soon, and I'll wear a rockabilly dress. I'll try this hairdo, it's very beautiful (but when I try it's always horrible haha!)
Kayley thanks so much for teaching me how to do the victory rolls!!! You do them beautifully and explain really well so it's nice and easy to follow! Can't wait to watch more of your videos!
Fantastic tutorial, I really appreciate the way you went into so much detail right down to what type of brushes etc, thank you. And you look sensational too!
Wanted to do something like this for a party I am going to tomorrow. I am totally unprepared and this is the first video I have seen but I am confident because I LOVE Benefit makeup and have every product you are using!! Feel like am going to SMASH the look!!
Yes, please do a tutorial on anti-frizzing, shine products! I have curly hair and I love my curls, but my biggest problem with them is they always look so flat; they have no shine! I'd love to hear your favorite products for giving hair some shine.
Oh God, you are so fantastic Kayley! This hair tutorial and this make-up tutorial are amazing!! I love it so much! Love rockabilly style! You look sublime
It seems to me like it's quite a bit easier for her because she has a TON of hair. I have very thin hair, so I could never do this, even after curling it and teasing it.
I knoww girl, thin and fine. It's dark, so ppl always think it's so thick 😂 But hey, it's easier for us to maintain 😉 and mine holds curl! 💕

I am loving these decade-inspired tutorials! I hope you will consider doing more of them! Naturally I would skip the Seventies (I've already seen plenty of sevent-ish looks in your channel), but I would love to see more glam Sixties/Eighties-inspired looks. Sending my love from Italy! xx
you make it look so easy, i tried to do this and it took me an hour and ended up looking like i was (as my friend described it) a deformed minnie mouse
No, it's titled "My weight loss." I hope it can help. More than anything, it's important to find someone that you can talk to. Eating disorders are never just about your weight, it's about control, or depression, or feeling inadequate. Those are serious things that need to be faced and fought through until you can regain stability :). I've been there and my heart is with you, don't give up.
Love the look! I have long hair that I just dyed white blonde, and was having a hard te doing a victory roll. The two medium size on the top are perfect for me. I'll post a pic when I'm done!
I wish I grew up in the 40's other than the war of course. women and men were so much classier. Most Women were inspired by their confidence within to make them beautiful instead of showing off their body to be "beautiful"
Karol Moo yeah that was a problem back then but I don't think as bad as we all think it really was though. You also got to remember that was the time when women stepped up to the plate and did the jobs that the men did because the men were off fighting War. Women did the same things that men did not because like today if they need to feel equal or with all this feminist stuff either. They took over those jobs and worked for the sake of their husbands and Sons and their loved ones that were fighting and not for superficial things or insecurities like some do today. To me personally I believe neither is a man without the woman nor is the woman without the man we need each other and I have no respect whatsoever for people who think one of the Sexes are better than the other.
Would you do another full detailed video on just Thai hair style! How you get the wave 🌊 curls in long hair? What products you use to get it to stay? You make it look so easy and pretty!
I completely agree, I do have problems with depression and feeling inadequate. I want to thank you, because of your videos I now am not only able to style my hair like nobody's business, but I have discovered that I have it in me, and I have just enough of my grandmothers stubbornness to make it. I will get my GED, and I will go to cosmetology school. thank you, from all of your students :)
You're gorgeous in your own way. I feel the same way about myself, but I believe its out personalities and the way we carry ourselves is what makes us undesirable.
I love this!!! Thank you I've been doing Pinup for a few years nothing like this but I just loved how your looks is. I have a contest this weekend and am looking forward to rocking this look. I'll try and remember to post a picture for you once it's done.
Love it!!! I've been looking for the perfect 50's hair and make for our 50's inspired Christmas party now I can stop looking absolutely stunning thank you x
this is the best victory curl pin-up style i have seen on youtube. thanks for this!
Have you seen Cherry Dollface?
As a fan of retro style, I must say that this look is stunning.
At first I don't think the makeup is "retro" enough for me but then after you did your hair, everything fell into place. Really gorgeous.
agh!!!! brushing out curls!! i cant do that. i love my hair curly i cant ruin a masterpeice
I used to be like that, because my hair is super straight, I started to do smaller and tighter curls and sprayed straight after, then when I brush them out I'd spray them again and surprisingly they stay until next morning!

winged eyeliner with pencil eyeliner? :O what are you? a godess?
So great! And, it's a small thing, but I love how slowly you tease your hair, so it's more like lacing then the rapid/damaging motions I see everyone else do. Love it!
when you do it it's great but when I do it looks like I was drunk fighting a cat in the rain😢
lol right
😆😆😆
🤣
I'm laughing but I havent tried it yet 😪🤣
😂😂 I’m sure it didn’t but that’s hillarious description

I just can't do it, I cry every time I do it cause I just can't do it
hahaha same here :(
Maisy Port i think it takes pratice. pratices does go along with it.
I was following the tutorial exactly and I ended up crying because I can't do the victory roll for shit
I'm fucking crying right now because I can't do it either and she makes it look so effortless and it isn't fair.
Honestly, victory rolls are NOT easy to do. She only makes it look easy becasue she has done it over and over and over. Victory rolls is like learning to ride a bike. Its seriously frustrating at first, but you will get the hang of it in the end!
Aww! :(
Victory rolls takes a lot of practice, a lot of teasing and a lot of spray. Don't get discouraged, keep practicing, you'll get it. :)
:'( same here
That's with a wet set darl
The style is gorgeous. The tutorial is gorgeous. You, young lady, are definitely gorgeous.
you may have just saved me from hen-do disaster!! My brothers fiance wanted to do rockabilly for her hen do and I have been so stressed out about "THE HAIR" !! But this may have saved my life. I love you haha. thanks :)

I see a lot of girls wearing this......so cool that the 1940's are coming back! :D I wish I could've lived back then!
if a person from the 40's saw what you wrote just then, they would hit you in the face with a brick.
stop glorifying the past.
Silver Phoenix
Lol, who told you you could come out from under your bridge?!
you dumb fuck, do you even know what HAPPENED in the 40's?? you definitely shouldn't wish you could have lived back then
Silver Phoenix
Lol yep! Very nasty people just like you happened ;)
Silver Phoenix
Yay, you responded! I'm actually having a really fun time with you. Keep it coming! Maybe we can go out for coffee sometime :D
Absolutely! Just take the sections from the hair behind your bangs and leave the bangs styled as you normally do. If you have shorter face framing layers, leave those out too, or else they may stick out and be hard to work with :).
Super cute
You make styling look and sound so easy! I'm a new fan of your tutorials. You provide amazing instruction and video! Beautiful!
The 50s were much more classy .i love how people used to dress in the 50s lol
Lo Lo I agree, our current generation lacks any class, even the rich people dress poorly
I think it's just because people are quite busy nowadays and they don't have that much time to dress classy every day.. . But I definitely agree!
Lo Lo victory rolls tray lean more towards the forty’s. In the 59s women kept their hair a little shorter. They were actually much more casual, all though they wore brighter cloths and wore more dutiable materials. The war kinda prevent style in the forty’s from really taking off.
@@jessicakinderlin5466 cry about it jessica, people can be comfortable without your approval
Thank you for explaining this in simple terms!! It helps a lot when content makers don't assume that their audience is pros like they are!
Well you got some talent if you're able to make a wing that amazing with pencil eyeliner!
You are unbelievably gorgeous, I can't even believe it. Love the style!!
I love this I got a homemade 1950s poodle skirt and it will look great with this new hairstyle thank you so much!! 😙😘😍
this is definitely the best tutorial for victory rolls I have ever seen. it was explained so well and unlike other videos I actually understood how to do it
You look so much like Abaddon from Supernatural with this hair color, almost identical.
Omg she does
Holy cow she does
duddee yes!
Angelica Velasco OMG yesss
Angelica Velasco OMG
I adore this tutorial. Literally the only reason I pulled off doing my own hair for the last 1940's ball!
O-M-G. I love you. (By the way, I'm an illustrator, I love observing people and that's why I also say what I think when I think that someone's pretty. Kayley thanks so much for teaching me how to do the victory rolls!!! You do them beautifully and explain really well so it's nice and easy to follow! Can't wait to watch more of your videos!
Lord almighty, dont think I've ever seen a more gorgeous woman....
Fantastic tutorial, I really appreciate the way you went into so much detail right down to what type of brushes etc, thank you. And you look sensational too!
i LOVE your lipstick!
this is amazing! I love your tone of voice and timing as well as the actual skill of creating the look. Makes a very fun video to watch!
Now that big sexy hair shine spray is discontinued, what hair shine spray do you recommend??
Their smooth and seal spray is great! It's lighter than the shine spray so it's more build able :).
Ta bon
kms hair play Dry touch up spray
I think it actually looks nicer without the shine spray...
You make the hair styling look so easy! I'll try this and see how it works for me. Thanks for the video!
Going to a 50's themed party this weekend, really thinking I should try this :) it would look cool with my doted 50's inspired dress
Omg I love that you use Benefit cosmetics. I work for them and it just makes me so happy.
Using this for my sailor costume for Halloween 😍
YASS u allready know tho we about that sailer moon life im gonna be sailer mares
Wanted to do something like this for a party I am going to tomorrow. I am totally unprepared and this is the first video I have seen but I am confident because I LOVE Benefit makeup and have every product you are using!! Feel like am going to SMASH the look!!
you are so beautiful and the pin up style is so increadbly suits on you ? are you libra ??
I've watched quite a few rockabilly tutorials but yours helped the most. Thanks!👍🏻👍🏻
You should definitely do a Lana del Rey look!!
Lana del Rey does the side swept style from the 60's.
I just realized this video is from 6 years ago! Kayley, you look SO different with darker hair! What a gorgeous look!
Your hair is too perfect. This doesn't look nearly as good on mine.
Yes, please do a tutorial on anti-frizzing, shine products! I have curly hair and I love my curls, but my biggest problem with them is they always look so flat; they have no shine! I'd love to hear your favorite products for giving hair some shine.
OMG. YOU LOOK LIKE CHERRY FROM THE OUTSIDERS!!!!
Blue Rose OMG lol that’s the same exact thing I was thinking 😂
Omg yes haha love that movie!!
Oh God, you are so fantastic Kayley! This hair tutorial and this make-up tutorial are amazing!! I love it so much! Love rockabilly style! You look sublime

Those victory rolls literaly scare me hahaha it feels like it's impossible to do
shes the only one who makes it clear....every other tutorial i tried made them look so bad, too wide apart, one falls apart etc.
You look beautiful with the style pin up!!
Thanks for the tutorial!
you make it look so easy, i tried to do this and it took me an hour and ended up looking like i was (as my friend described it) a deformed minnie mouse
I have the SAME problem..... Too much hair. My hair is 26" long...... 😬
LOL

+Evan Sargent same here!! And the movies and the music was so great back then! :))
women and black people were degraded at that time. definitely not the best era for me
Karol Moo yeah that was a problem back then but I don't think as bad as we all think it really was though. lmao you wanna live in the 40's where there was a World War going on?
+Evan Sargent ohhhh I see
I like how quick and simple all your makeup instructions are
IAM in love with this ! ^_^
Would you do another full detailed video on just Thai hair style! How you get the wave 🌊 curls in long hair? What products you use to get it to stay? You make it look so easy and pretty!
Jenna Marbles sent me here
I completely agree, I do have problems with depression and feeling inadequate. Nice hair , nice face , nice style , so FABULOUS
Love your tutorials! They are fun, educational, and very well done! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your amazing talents!
Nice look but pinup makeup is never "dewy"... it's supposed to be matte. Just saying.
Eva Santorini I thought that the whole entire time ;-; I was like "NO, NOT HEALTHY DEWY SKIN!!" ;-;
+Alexis Tarantino haha people smoked waay too much back then to have healthy dewy looking skin
Anon Swan and no one contoured back then. It's almost like what is the point of this video? Keep it true or don't post it.
actually people did contour back then... it just wasnt popular.
Creative Retards no, they didn't contour
I have also used any leave in conditioner or detangling spray (rubbed on my hands as she did) or baby oil to get rid of the frizz as well.
Fuck. She makes it look so easy !!!!
These have all been so fun. I always look forward to your special holiday videos.
how beautiful you are!
Queen M sport and
Gary chandler excuse me?
Love this! I went as a rockabilly/pin up girl the other day to my end of school dress up day, such a wonderful look!
what foundation? id love to know! :)
+Dasha Kornilova I think when I filmed this video I was hooked on MAC pro longwear. :)
*ArganRain is Nature’s Touch*
GREAT JOB!
I am glad that you did this hairstyle with long even hair mine is like that also and I always have a hard time doing victory rolls.
Omg this is like art, it looks so difficult! But it looks gorgeous, and this comes from a guy by the way. :)
It's definitly the best Pinup-Girl tutorial ever!!!! I'm gonna wear this at school :)
But ur so gorgeous that u can pull this look... Me on the other hand 😔😔
+Anya I know I feel the same way.. I feel if I do it.. it will look hella stupid.
You're gorgeous in your own way. I feel the same way about myself, but I believe its out personalities and the way we carry ourselves is what makes us undesirable.
Even though I dot curl or tease my hair, this was fun to watch because you are amazing at what you do!
why am i here, i'm a dude, LOL
LMAO
Max Brooks gross
maybe u gay :)
Well, now you have to do the hairstyle lol
😂😂
That big sexy hair shine on spray is ridiculously amazing! The difference is uncanny!
You are The most beautiful creature I have EVER seen. I can´t believe my eyes!!!
frizz... HA. you have no idea what frizz is.
Great video! I'm at the Viva Las Vegas event 2016 and needed some quick refresher tips! Perfect! 💋

BEAUTIFUL!!!! Please do more vintage/retro looks, both hair and makeup.
Omg bless you I use benefit all the time too. Benefit is the best, hands down.
Loved this thank you. Had a pinup contest this past Saturday and I won 2nd with this look. Thank you
Such a beautiful look. I love pinup tutorials .
This is gorgeous girl! You killed it. Those victory rolls are fabulous.
Your hair looked so nice right after you curled it. I loved the ringlets :)
By far the best hair and makeup tutorial ever!!! Thanks :-)
LOVED this!! 1940's/50s looks really suit you!
Thanks for the great tutorial! It was super helpful while prepping for a pinup themed bridal shower!
YOU have outdone yourself! this is AMAzing!
