If you ever do another hair tutorial, could it include the brushing part? I feel like the curling and sections is pretty easy, but brushing it out without ruining the curl is the valuable part of a vintage hair tut
Yes! She spent a lot of time on the easy part and sped through the part that I came here to learn about.

As I am watching this the thought occurs to me: How did the first person whoever discovered you could set curls in your hair by applying heat ever happen to do that? Think about the improbable circumstances that would lead to someone curling their hair around a heated metal rod by random chance and noticing that the hair stayed curled. It is amazing. It must be one of the greatest inventions in human history.
It probably wasn’t discovered by chance. People knew about science before hair curlers were invented lmao.

@@rosefair88 as long as your hair is dry and pinup curl it and sleep on it over night to make sure the curls are really set

I also thought it was funny at 5:08 where she was basically describing shrinkage haha. A common curly hair struggle and a big reason not to assume the length of peoples hair.
A few years ago I remember overhearing a conversation where this guy asked "why is black peoples hair always so short??" and then i looked to see who he was talking to and this girl with a tight fro was looking at him kinda annoyed lol but then instead of responding she took one curl in her fingers and stretched it more than HALFWAY down her back! I was **shook** and so was he lol

@@pinuppalmer its not only thick. It's naturally this type of curly. I don't need to tease it, curl it, or any of that. I just comb it with a fine tooth comb for about 15 minutes and it just looks like that.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. The Bobby pins will not hold and it’s not forming a perfect o shape when I curl it with my fingers.
I use foam rollers now because pin curls never go right for me.
