I just got one of these, 300 miles in two days. My first bike lol. I’m 6’9 so it’s one of the only sporty bikes I’m comfortable on and I also wanted the cp4 engine. Enjoying your videos on it, they are very helpful.
Nice.I've had my 2017 FZ10 here in Canada still love it.Yammie reliable.Had ecu flashed by SBU,electrostatic air filter, link pipe cat delete and I did a sawoff on oem can w/stainless steel repack and db killer, homemade tail tidy and hinged plate mount(hooligan).
At 3:19 you mention "new bike smell". My 2020 Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor (new to me in May of 2020 and parked in the drive-out lower level of the chalet I live in), it emitted a variety of different odors for the first week; bike is made in India and I couldn't wait for the smell to dissipate. An S&S big bore kit and cam along with a full stainless-steel exhaust system dropped the weight from 470 (my Speed Twin 1200cc is 474) to 429 pounds while the WiseCo 83.5mm pistons upped the anti to 743cc. Going to miss the videos on your Speed Twin but much obliged for the wealth of information you provided. VA.
Based on what? Give me specifics... I am reviewing a bike. Between the wife and I, we have had 47 bikes, and I have ridden well over 400,000 miles on street and track over a 28 year period... I never claimed to be Rossi, not sure why you are even implying that.
Yeah, all the reviews said that that made a difference. I just need to clean up the discs for any ;eft over residue, and sometimes just a pad upgrade is all it needs for extra bite.
Dave- you change/add bikes more often than I change underwear. Either way, congrats to you. Love the MT-10. One of the best sounding exhausts on the market. MPG is, by all reports, crappy but outside of that, it's a swell bike. Ride her vigorously.
Sad to see the Speed Twin go, but it's not for your style of riding at the end of the day eh? Curious to see how fast all your extras go that you have 'laying' around for it. Hopefully this one scratches that itch for ya! Please be nice to your doggo :) I know you love em, but sometimes it gets me in the feels when the harsh words are flyin. I have two of my own, and yep, they drive me bananas some days too :)
Yeah, I didn't really kick his ass, just told meathead to STFU. lol I haven't decided on the speed twin yet... I will get it back on Saturday and ride it a bit, and decide what to do in the coming months..
I test rode one a few weeks back with an akra exhaust. Lovely bike. Front brake feels abit wooden though ( seems to be a Yamaha thing) but no denying it's a wicked machine if you can get over the looks! Looking forward to some tasty content
They are two very different bikes. The MT-10 is way more of a sport bike than the Speed Twin could ever be. Both have their appeal, it all comes down to what you want. If you like retro cool that can be ridden in a sporty fashion, the Speed Twin is great. If you want a full bore sport bike that is comfortable to live with daily, the MT-10 is the bike for you.
Watched your ecu mod video and thought I’d share one out of context thing about the previous gen. May not apply to this bike, but…on my ‘20, we could do the exup valve mod, which leaves it open permanently. That and a shorty Yosh pipe made an incredible sound without being too obnoxious. Again, don’t know if you can do this because of the new ecu info you shared, but it’s a thought. Once you lose the mid pipe, it gets really loud. Cheers. 👍🤪🇨🇦
If you keep the exup valve open all the time, but don't retune the fueling in that area, it uses torque... That's what seems to happen with most bikes when you just force that valve open...
At the crank, not at the wheel. HP ratings from bike and car makers are always given at the crank. But through drivetrain losses going through the gearbox, transmission, chain and sprockets, etc... to the wheel, you lose on average about 15%. So a claimed 165hp at the crank, is typically closer to 140hp actual at the wheel.
Yeah I’ve been mis pronouncing LeoVince, every day a school day! The MT10 looks epic - can’t wait to see how long the list of mods get, I did laugh when it only took you to the first traffic stop on the first ride to start listing changes 😂
If I liked the look of the 09 or MT 10 that’s what’d I have, but I just couldn’t get excited about looking at it. Better every way than my speed twin, but looking at it in the garage.
Speed twin ! But thats just me , they are different bikes with different attiudes . For a guy like you the Yamaha is the better fit .and a guy like me (fog) its the speed twin . Only wish the ST came with self cancelling turn signals ! Ha ha
Nice upgrade! So much for naked liter bikes being too much for the street. 😂 And OEM electronics even at minimum setting are often too intrusive on track at mid/upper advanced pace so I prefer bikes that have the option to shut things completely off.

Congrats.....I'm stunned it took you this long :)

Congrats…..that sound is amazing when you get on it!!!

I got tired of waiting for my 2022 MT 10, so I got the ZX14R. Nice bike man.
Listening to your comment it’s so funny you would think you were a Moto GP rider lol. Cracks me up all your talk.

Wheelie King is implying that your comments indicate that you are a narcissistic know-it-all and need to find Jesus Christ. 😇
It’s not a review 😂
Jesus Christ I am beyond F’ing jealous!!! The MT 10 is one of my dream bikes! I just can’t swing one with my budget. 😢
This is Buford GA? Nice bike, I think I’ll see if I can pick one up this week. I need another Yamaha.
Yeah, the Buford location... Its a great bike...
The Leo Vince mid pipe swap really is one of the best sounding exhaust mods I've heard on these bikes. Can't wait to hear it on that new gen.
I agree, I have it on my 2022. Stock headers and can, ecu flash, sounds perfect to me.
Congrats on the new bike. Good choice.
Glad to see they finally updated the front brembo MC

Is someone excited?!? Congrats on the new bike! Not gonna lie will miss your Speed Twin. Looking forward to your future mods. 🤟
Too bad no more triumph speed twin, such a character bike that speed twin. The yammi is sweet too tho!
Good choice 😎

Great bike I have speedtwin thinking upgrade to mt10 can I ask how much more fun to ride than speedtwin your opinion counts cheers

@@SquireSCA thanks for reply great channel cheers
Get 'em out for me was a nice save. :)
Strangely, that guy's reaction was like he fends off those kind of advances from customers all the time.

Sitting behind all that traffic seems so weird to me! Most bikes where i live wouldn't exist if we couldn't filter through traffic.
Seems dumb
Agreed. But rush hour in town is not fun on a bike. And I must have had my ISO set way low in this video because its really dark. Weird.
Congrats.
25:32 Way to throw Johnny under the bus lol :)
I throw everyone else under the bus... it takes the heat off of me. ;-)
It's Vince. From down the block?
Down the block... I apologize, I talk to so many people every week, refresh my memory? haha
@@SquireSCA You know. Leo Vince? You know. You know.
Just get rid of the inner pipe that sticks out inside te CAT and you still have the 15hp extra and not that loud exhaust. 😉
I ended up going with the Leo Vince decat and muffler.
Goddamn congrats!
Where do you get it tuned? How expensive is it?
Less than $300 for an ECU flash and tune. I take the ECU up to Chris Moore up near Greenville SC. Google Moore Mafia
@@SquireSCA Got it. Thanks
Thought the MT-10 is 165 hp!!

Hipster bike!
Hipsters tend to go for smaller bikes, retros, etc...

Not as good sound as Speed Twin from my headphone. Sweet bike.
Well, it's stock exhaust so it's nowhere near as loud. If I decat this thing, its one of the best sounding engines on the market.
