1. Get good sleep. Wear eye mask. 2. 3 cardio sessions per week: a long distance run (45-60 min), a 30 min session, a sprint day (15min), . 3. 2-3 hr/wk of resistance training. Use compound lifts. 4. Nutrition: 75% or more of calories from non-processed foods. Fruit, oatmeal, rice, veggies, eggs, etc. Avoid all processed/ packaged foods. 5. support gut microbiome: eat fermented foods, foods with phytonutrients, fiber foods, and avoid sugar 6.
I've been following a split routine for weights running for therty years .on top of that steaming food for meals ..it's good to see someone talking about these benefits apart from the aesthetic values ..
It’s been a good week for me if I get 3/3/3; 3 runs, 3 weight lifting sessions, 3 Muay Thai classes. It adds up to a lot of work but I’m 45 years old and have been in great shape for many years. I have no chronic ailments or aches and pains. And I also have terrible genetics, so if I can do it anyone can.
Andrew Huberman please hear this: a person pursing MDMA for mental health is not stumbling upon, they are highly attuned to rewiring and reorienting the experience toward something productive, non routinely. Same with psychedelics. Avoiding alroutine alcohol to feel better and trying a psychedelic once just to feel better are NOT the same thing. Maybe psychedelics will help them quit alcohol, maybe a steady 3 drinks will help someone get off harder drugs. Whatever. The point is, mdma 3 times a week to get over PTSD or OCD is nothing like alcohol 5x daily to deal with OCD or PTSD. It's not even the same ball park. You can't equate the relief from one to the other as if the relief is the same as the drug's effects on everyone. For people desperate for ADHD or fibromyalgia relief, small amount of mdma could be enough to quit alcohol entirely, and likewise alcoholics might have emotional issues small amount of psychedelics finally help a person manage one a week in small doses instead of large quantities of alcohol every day as we tend to self manage. MDMA at any normal human dose is so harmless. It is way less harmful than Tylenol or McDonald's. It encourages exercise and familial bonding, pets, plants, self care, and makes you tired at the end of the day for insomniacs or ADHD sufferers. Don't equate mdma or Mushrooms or lsd with alcohol, it's not even close to the same type of self medicating. Not even close. Alcohol never has long term benefits or makes people feel they can do without it after using it as a crutch. Mdma and mushrooms do make you feel you don't need to keep taking it and they're more effective than antidepressants or depressants like alcohol which offer immediate temporary relief. You make it sound like it's such a risk but mdma and mushrooms are way WAY way less harmful than alcohol and/or Tylenol but especially better than Tylenol and alcohol together always.
@TheProfGShow So many "content creators" will have a podcast, invite the "big get", and then won't shut the f*ck up. THANK YOU for bringing on one of my other hosts that I enjoy, asking great questions, and then getting out of his way to let him answer!
Just a follow up comment on the excellent guidance provided on exercise for young people (and older adults), try an activity that you really enjoy or a new activity that you may enjoy. Possibly rock climbing, this can be done at a good rock climbing gym that can also provide instruction, teams, a climbing culture. For many, males and females, it's a lot of fun, it's challenging, and all the while a full body exercise. It's also improves balance and spatial awareness.
Huberman has NOW endorsed tequila , soda, and lime!! That’s what I am talking about! That is what I heard i am personally ignoring what else he said!!!
Cloud intimacy is a sign of daddy issues. He can't commit to one woman. He's not bedding them, that wouldn't be a bad thing. But being 5 women's significant other is though...
People act like they don't buy anything when they purchase things daily. Always a comment about a product being plugged , who cares. You can make your own decisions you've got a brain use it don't park it .
Dr. Huberman’s sometimes right but often times he just doesn’t properly research his sources and isn’t a great representative of the scientific community. He doesn’t deserve the notoriety he has and I hope you consider giving voice to the real experts.
Your comment isn’t useful without suggesting real experts. Us laymen aren’t able to find the “real” ones. Also, what makes you feel authoritative on discerning the experts? Genuinely asking.
You have to be an expert to know.So what's your expertise? What's your PhD or multiple degrees in? Show us here something more than just a troll. By giving us links and specific examples within this specific a podcast about where he doesn't know what he's talking about, and then link to someone who refutes that specifically showing that that person does have more credibility. A more knowledged insight. Otherwise you're just another troll.
Excellent interview but can you jeez give him a break to breathe and take a sip of water as he explains the different subjects of sleep exercising nutrition.
I love Andrew H, but he is incorrect about nutrition. And if nothing else, can we all agree that wfpb, no animals (unless you catch them yourself and is not an at risk species) is the best diet for the planet? Which is extremely important.
1:11:39 He should give credit to Lex. He wouldn’t have the fame he does without Lex promoting him. I’m a Huberman fan but: “It’s just me bein’ me.!” Is SUCH an obnoxious answer to that question.
I am of two minds when it comes to the guest. On the one hand, he is a fellow scientist with whom I share some workspace at the experimental animal facilities; he knows the scientific method, he can read scientific literature and assess where a field is going in his area of expertise, he is a neurobiologist (not neurologist), expert in vision research. He is as qualified as a scientist can Be, on the other hand, but he is not a physician nor a physician-scientist; he has no medical training whatsoever; while he engages in scientific issues, his advice is medical... is he more qualified than a random guy on the internet or Joe Rogan on almost every scientific subject? Yes, is he a physician? No. I'd take any advice or deep medical thoughts on the vision cortex (his area of expertise); for all the rest, he has pretty much the same qualifications as Rogan, that is, none. Knowing biology doesn't qualify you to give medical advice; Huberman knows that, yet he has devolved into some medical guru.
Check out the Decoding The Gurus and Conspirituality podcasts and their episode on Huberman. They build credible arguments as to why Huberman is little more than a grifter capitalising on pseudoscience and male disenfranchisement. I think you'll find them compelling.
I can't believe Scott said that Obama would be his #1 guest with a straight face. That guy is the epitome of know nothing/do nothing, at least have an interesting #1 like John Carmack or someone that actually has a skill besides being a mouth piece for the dems.
Another rerun. Utube.or a third party thief is promting what I've already watched. Often the day before. Prof show a few months old. Says an hour ago with double digit views and single digit comments. Go find your OWN content or pay me. Thank you very much.

Two of my favourite teachers. Awesome session this: Andrew with quality knowledge and protocols, Scott with unabashed openess.
💯💯💯

The two best profs
Yeah, they both love the sound of their own voice, repeating the same shit over and over again
Last 10 minutes was the best!!!

It actually sounds like you don't have terrible genetics
Yay! Two of my favorites together!
Two supermen; two legends; what a treat.
Thoroughly enjoyed this... Thank you both for all you do.
I really like the authenticity of this conversation.
Love the brutal honesty on 🍷🍸 Refreshing 🙌

“Health and Beauty Mastery” is one of the most underrated books.
It was a really a great interview ❤
First 30 seconds down and Hubberman told me I have no sperm production.
Gonna be a good episode.
There's a 'free' T. ?
Oh no the HCG? too complicated. Oh Hogwarts.
Wow, that was good and an hour well spent.
I agree. Stop the alcohol and drugs.
Excellent! Thanks guys
Hahaha, professor, you eventually put Huberman in the podcast !!👏🏼
Ill listen to huberman anyday😂
Huberman is the best!
Great chat gents 😊 AHs ceiling was hurting my brain though 😂
So 10 exercises a week? Lots of sleep, lots of good food? Wow I leaned so much.
Andrew knocks it out of the park in this convo! Listen to your body- it will tell you what you need if you listen to it!
What a great combo!
Huberman is the father figure a lot of men are looking to, who don't have one.
or big brother
Total upside to 🍄
Don’t feel like crap the next day
Low-dose n chill if not up to party party
Please bring on Gary Stevenson (aka
Gary Economics)!!
Huberman has NOW endorsed tequila , soda, and lime!! That’s what I am talking about! That is what I heard i am personally ignoring what else he said!!!
@@KmePete He says it in this video. But he added nuance that I care to ignore. 🤣🤣🤣

Hell yes. He's a true alpha

irrelevant

If he can handle that many, then his protocols are gold. Imagine the energy of logistics
It had a good effect
Exercise and nutrition timestamps are swapped.
Isn't Huber on HRT being 50 yrs old?
influencer in all possible combination
There are a lot of product plugs for a guy who "isn't affiliate" with any of these brands.
So what?
@@KidSaleen just sayin

AH has lots of good advice but obviously on TRT and has been for some time so if advice is so good why the need for TRT
God, I wish I enjoyed exercise the way Andrew does. Unless it's something like a walk, I am miserable the whole time I work out.
Just not a fan of bright lights when I wake up.
Real food has a DNA email that tells our DNA about the environment the food came from.
Prof. Galloway wasn't happy with Dr. Huberman's answers on alcohol and weed/edibles. Both are damaging.
Nice table of content interruptions by Scott 😂
Don't bring Jordan Peterson on the podcast! 😂

the guy is scummy
Can you give examples of what he’s saying in this video is incorrect?
Your comment isn’t useful without suggesting real experts. Us laymen aren’t able to find the “real” ones.

Genuinely asking.
And which “experts” do you consider “real”?

Easy to assume Scott will NOT apply many of the things Huberman mentioned 😂
Lol cause he's a beta.
Can you talk about nutrition and can you talk about exercise are in the wrong order
Hey! Let your host a chance to talk a little bi! Loll
Why do you have this grifter on?

"I'm good on sleep ... I do edibles 2/3 times a week to help me sleep" ... Hmmm.

Disappointing that Scott had this charlatan on his show. Research Huberman carefully.
