as a kid, i couldn't figure out how to tell the good people that i can trust from the bad people that wanted to stab people in the back. my solution was to hide tape recorders everywhere to record conversations of people when i was not present, then retrieving the tapes and hearing what people were REALLY saying in private. I quickly mastered the art of distinguishing between good and bad people so that i no longer need secretly record anyone. i can tell just from how they present themselves to me now.

No one is really good or bad, its also not just 2 sides, its more of a spectrum, you must be judging these people based off what you deem good and bad.

In High School, they sent us home the first day with a stack of paperwork for our parents. One of the pieces of paper was a "signature card" for the attendance office. Gambling that no one was going to check ALL the new signature cards that flooded the attendance desk, I quietly removed the card from the pack and signed it myself with a reasonable facsimile of my mothers handwriting. No one ever said a thing, and I never had an attendance issue that my parents needed to be bothered dealing with...

I use to work at a TJX store. It was my first ever job, but those stores are completely disorganized and often trashed. So it's pretty easy to lose stuff like tags so anyway, if I wanted to buy a clothing item or something fancy I'd make sure to find another iitem with the same tag so the code in the register would ring up the same label. So I would be buying $70 CK jackets using $5 CK sock labels. We had alot of young ppl working there, so it was easy to get away with some stuff.

Due to various reasons, I wasn't able to finish high school at a, well, school, so I basically took special courses where I would just go take the exams while I studied on my own. When I had a chance to enter college, I was still missing the credits for one class, so I just said my ceritificate was still being processed and they allowed me to start my classes. I actually finished my last high school test during my first month of college.
I guess the fact that the bureaucracy in Mexico is notoriously bad helped my case.

When I was in middle I was to focused on my social life and didn’t really apply myself to my school work, to the point were i passed with just enough Cs to make it to high school, during the summer break before entering high school I decided it was best to put myself through homeschooling to avoid getting absurd by my social life (I was by no means a popular kid but I would get to focused on friends and blow off school work) when I got into the homeschooling program I was told that I would have to “classes” at a time…and core class and a elective…the classes consisted of fill in the blank packets…each year I would take teachers assistant as a elective…the teacher would put me to grade other students packets and I would write down the answer to the classes I would take later and use those to pass my classes… I would make sure to always miss a couple of answers on each chapter of the packets so I wouldn’t set off any red flags…I literally made it through high school because of that

We used to sell newspapers in town. We would go to the newspaper company, pay 10 cents a paper and sell them for 25 cents
Imagine my happiness when I realized I could put a quarter into the machine and get a whole stack of papers for 25 cents.
Now Imagine my sadness and stupidity as I told the people at the newspaper place how smart I was to figure out this brilliant loophole. Luckily I was 6-7 years old and they had no wish to prosecute for theft, but I got a taking to that day for sure.
Can also neither confirm nor deny whether I continued to do it. My...memory is a bit hazy.

Back when I graduated high school, my mom essentially tried to force me to go to college. But I did not want to go to college at the time, I wanted to take an off year and see what was good. I still enrolled and took the cheapest class. As part of being a student at that college, they give you a clipper card that gets you free bus or light rail rides for as long as you're enrolled. What I didn't know, was that it lasted 4 years regardless of whether or not you stayed in the class. So even after my $100 class expired after the quarter, I had 4 years worth of free bus rides and free train rides which are usually $5 for a day pass. That's $7,300 worth of free rides on the system if I went everyday. (which i mostly did until I got a car)

That rewards card thing for the gas is actually something that we did at a walmart I worked at. If they didn't have the membership or whatever the promotion thing was then one of my coworkers just scanned their card. What ever it was, it was something that could give a random discount so some people randomly got discounted purchases.
I guess that was more of a "Using the system to spread the good will" than just cheating the system though.

I was a freshman in high school in a science class that had a long term assignment. Part of the assignment was to watch a total of something like 8 hours of videos related to the topic. I forgot about it until about 2 days before it was due. You couldn't skip the videos. I used the HTML editor and found that the website pulled the videos from TH-cam. So, I copied the link of a 1 second TH-cam video and replaced the link. Now the 45 minute videos were 1 second long and there were no questions to them, only surveys about the video. So I had everything done in about 15 minutes. Felt like a king

So my college had a meal plan where you had meals entries that were just for entrance main dining hall, food debit (money used to buy stuff on campus), and then something called a meal option. A meal option could be used to get into the dining hall as if it was a meal entry or it could be used to pay for 6.70 dollars as if it was food debit. One day i went to the corner store (basically a convenience store in the dorm tunnels) and bought some food things that totaled just under 2 meal options so i bought it using 2 of them at the register. Later in the week I went online to check my meal debit balance but noticed I had 1 more meal option left for the week than I should. It turned out that whenever I bought 2 meal options worth of stuff at the register, it only docked me 1 from my balance. I just had to make sure it was under 13.40. The rest of that year I was about to get more value out of my meal plan.

In fairness, if you arrive 7 minutes early and leave 7 minutes late, you might be paid for half an hour for 15 mins, but it's not a terrible deal for the company if you actually work since they have to pay time and a half anyway. Even if you are taking a dump in the final 7 minutes, that means you aren't doing so while otherwise on the clock, so the company is still gaining 15 mins of pure productive work.

I'm from the Philippines. Back in 2008, I was in high school and would take any kind of school related paperwork. Our teacher was quite savvy and knows just enough how to check if someone copies from the internet, esp Wikipedia. What I did wad use simple english Wiki and change some words in beginning of paragraphs with an online thesaurus. Printing one page in net cafes cost ₱10 a page. So I charged ₱9. Usually i charge ₱150 per work. But little did they know I have an injectable ink printer that costs way less to print. Basically, my profit was 1000% and the teach couldn't figure out how even the dumbest can write so well. I've done this with other subjects and sections as well.

first story from a guy I knew
he failed an excercise in military training, and got backtrooped
when you get backtrooped you have to go around getting stamps from various people for paperwork moving into a new troop
he got half the paperwork filled saying what troop he was going into, but not the stamps for going into that troop
so he just went home one weekend we were allowed out, waited 2 weeks and came back and got the rest of the paperwork filled out in the new troop
skipped 2 entire excercises, never got caught, I think he would have ended up kicked out at best or military prison at worst
worked at amazon after getting medicaly discharged
made friends with a guy who was exmilitary, we both hated it and dident care about being fired
we started realising that you can clock in and out on your phone so we would both just leave an hour early as the new shift was coming in and spoof our GPS data
but you had to be there in person to clock in
so what we started doing was going to work, clocking in, then would leave while others were still ariving, go home, sleep, and then go back at the end of shift because they patched the GPS spoofing thing
we would still regularly go in so people dident notice what we were doing but just leave at break
they started locking tha gates and making the gate guards check anyone who was leaving early
guy brings a pair of bolt croppers, cuts a hole in the fence and we would just crawl down the drainage ditch so we dident get seen
we both agreed that amazons security for keeping people in was significantly better than any of out military bases security for keeping people out or in

We had a clock-in/out system at a job I worked at 20 years ago.. we were working shifts with a 2-day early, 2-day late, 2-day night and then 4 days off-rotation.. I was always working with the same colleagues, so we decided that when we have morning shifts, one would have the key cards for two employees and would clock both in (started at 7 when it was extremely quiet, but no manager ever arrived before 8:30 and we always ensured the other would be in by 8).. then when we had late-shift (until 11pm, but of course the managers left around 6pm the latest) the one who came in early in the morning shift could leave an hour earlier and the other person would clock both out.. this way each of us had to work about an hour less each day with exception of night shift, when we usually took turns sleeping..

In high school (2014-2018), I was god awful terrible at math, however, there was a bit of a loophole even if you never did your homework and simply guessed the right answers on tests and quizzes. it was easy to pass. Just pray to get a teacher that doesn't check your work but instead asks how many questions you got right. If they don't make you prove it- you're clear. If they do... you're fucked. Also make sure they sure they don't care if you have a calculator. (It's 2022 people, everyone has a phone with a calculator if they can afford to go to school) having a teacher who has a reputation for passing the kids who are just going to have to repeat the class is your best option.

And purposely dehydrating yourself can cause some serious and permanent health problems when you get older. I recommend you probably stop before you regret it.

14:49, houseofmatt, you mad lad...no, seriously, if I was your male parental unit, a.k.a., what other people call your father, I would have legitimately allowed you to be emancipated, not because I hated you or did not care about you, but because you were so smart in taking care of yourself like that, and, as a bonus, prior to that, I would have either taught you personally, or brought you to other people that were better equipped to teach you better than myself (but I would have also made sure that they were not some sort of scumbag that would have taken advantage of you or harmed you in any sort of way), how to legitimately be self-sufficient, to live on your own, and to have some plans and skills that could help you either towards a career path in your life or an actual job that you would love. Also, here are some things that you never considered and they are since you were emancipated, that means that you would not be able to have your parents do stupid things like parent-teacher conferences, you could be treated like an adult, and, should some power tripping student or teacher try to hurt or punish you, well, that student or teacher would be in some hot water for a whole host of charges, most notably assault and harassment.

24:09, and if this sort of thing was happening in the COVID-19 pandemic/plandemic that is happening right now, then no one would be the wiser and no one would dare to be arguing against your free education plan, as well as free money, anyway.

14:04, but they could not stop you from removing the tape from the booklet, let alone hear it, once you got home now, could they? You obviously did not take advantage of the system like that when you had the perfect opportunity to do so against those morons.

You can't bring the booklet home. You have to give it back before you leave the testing site.
