With the job interview thing it used to be the same way with renting an apartment. You looked at an apartment you were interested in and if you liked it you gave the landlord the money and it was yours. They didn't have to know your life story and there were no 20 page leases signed in blood
The “professional” hiring process is complete bullshit. Ive had easier times getting offers from national or international companies than a local company. Because the local company “wants to be seen as professional”.
Why I should write a story on paper first and then write it again on a computer, cursive, and watching while listening to something when you could just watch it and ignore what they say
