I finally got my cat back and she had a big scape on her back, and my family doesn't have the finances to be able to go to the vet. I'm going to take a shower and then put a bandage on her or something. It looks infected, I'm so scared for her! Let's see how this goes...

I have a stray that we have been feeding for a couple of years. He will hang out for a minute come back every morning and every afternoon. From time to time he would come with a couple of wounds that would heel. But 3 weeks ago he got a nasty wound I’m assuming from a fight, I tried to spray an antiseptic for animals but he ran and did return a couple of days. Finally he came back now skin hanging in two areas it’s smelly and he won’t let us get near home. I just keep feeding home and hope he will be alright. Sighhh

So i bought a collar for my cat and a few days after I put it on him I decided to take it off and I noticed a little scrape on him under his neck and it wasn't there before so I got a damp wash clothe and held it on the scrape for about 5 mins. I do not know if that's the correct thing to do but he kept giving me kitty hugs after as if he was thanking me. So if anyone knows if that's what your meant to do please reply to this.
I'm treating my cat since Saturday she had a bit lump on her jaw line I washed it with cooled boiled water and sea salt that was Saturday Sunday I repeated the and a lot of smelling puss came out the lump is gone and I got beaphar wound ointment and wound tape cleaned it again with the cooled sea salted water and put the cream on had gauze material put cream on that also wrapped it around her neck today is Monday repeated it all again and the wound looks like its healing. She is in better form since last night fingers crossed she is on the mend.

My cat goes insane to tear the e-collar off. He will growl and roll around kicking it continuously until he gets it off. I think he would break his own neck trying to remove it. The wound in his ear went from sesame seed size and is now the size of a penny. It will likely consume his ear because he wont stop scratching it. A month from now it's likely his ear will just be torn away a scratch at a time. No medicine or oil or Aloe I put on the wound helps. Sad... he was a beautiful cat. Now a big piece of his ear is gone.
The cat that claimed us is wild and would never go along with any of this. He just lost 1/4 of the skin over his left eye most likely from a coyote attack.
I came back home after school and the cats laying down I come to pet her and see a huge cut on her leg my grandma told me the cat injured herself by going in the window (sometimes my grandma lets her out and the cat comes back in thru the window) and I hope my cat is ok it’s not bleeding or anything my cat is also pregnant so I hope this doesn’t hurt her babies

shrimp I know that you posted this a month ago, but if that ever happens to you again here are some tips. First you should get the stray into a controlled environment such as a bathroom or laundry room if it is skittish or scared. It’s okay if you can’t do this though. I would cover its face with a towel and hold the cat still, if the wound is bleeding a lot get something like paper towels to use to put pressure on it, then you should try to clean the fur around it and the wound itself, hydrogen peroxide and cotton balls are ideal, if you don’t have any then just use water. Idk if this helps but it would make me feel better to know what to do in this situation.

My family can'ts take her to the vet because we don't have the money. I used peroxide bc that's what my brother said to do and now i see that was not a good choice. Does anyone have any help for me?

After your vet has done everything possible to raise the bill. They will give you a cat antiseptic meds. lol jk. it would all depend on the wound.

Ik it’s too late but disinfect the wound cuz maybe ur cat got infected and cover it with cloth to prevent the cat from scratching it

My cat has a deep hole near his tail. We took him on the vet. They said we have pay $2,500 to have surgery or they will put him down.
