Ok lady you are gorgeous and I'm inspired by that hair and CUT. Growing mine out a bit right now. I wore that cut over 10 years ago when I was still coloring my hair. Can't wait to see how awesome mine will look with my newly found look...rocking my natural gray hair!!!!
Oh you are so sweet, thank you so much for your nice comment! I did love my pixie, but I had this cat for a long time! Now, you will see I am growing out my hair. I can see your hairstyle in your little photo, you look beautiful! 😘. All the best to you!
Thanks so much, Kerry Lou! I'm a double cancer survivor, a natural brunette with blue not red undertones. Went blonde in 1976 and because my hair is very thick, wore a "bob" all one length. With my first chemo, my hair began to fall out. I took control and shaved my head. I'm dealing with chemo curls, and my hairstylist is cutting them off as my hair continues to grow. The front is white like yours and the back is a darker silver grey. My style is similar to yours and I love it! I have small, close set ears and for once, I can show off my earrings! Your face shape is similar to mine, fairly oval with high cheekbones....it was wonderful to have a lady compliment on my "unlined" neck! She asked me if I had surgery. (I haven't) I never wanted to have "grandma" hair, and with my new short style, I don't. It's FREEDOM! Quick, easy and chic! Thanks for the wonderful tips, and I also enjoyed your tutorial with your mother as the model. She's a lovely woman, too. Best regards!
Thank you so much for sharing your story Katherine, this is one of the positive aspects of social media, "meeting" wonderful people like yourself. You are such a strong woman, and truly an inspiration for us all. Thank you for your good vibes, the world needs more of this!
I'm taking this to my hairdresser next week. Between you and Maye Musk, I have found inspiration for how I would like to change up my short hairstyle. Going silver is such a beautiful transition on you!
I'll bet the hair dye manufacturers hate this movement, all of us loving our grey/silver hair! I'm glad you're enjoying your hair, thanks for watching!
this lady is so cute! I'm going in for my first salon haircut since lockdown and I'm taking a pic of this cut with me. I'm not sure I have the confidence (and features) to pull it off but hey, hair grows back, right? Love that her hair is natural color - mine is going silver and I like the brightness of it instead of the darker gray. This cut really highlights the lovely shades of color. THank you for the inspiring vids, Miss Kerry-Lou!
I'm so glad you sort of gave us permission to just have fun :) for me my hair has always been serious stuff and never come up to scratch but having fun sounds much lighter and less permanent damage :) Thank you
I love it and just had my hairstylist cut my hair in a similar style..after 3 years of alopecia and wearing wigs,it was time for fun..I have no bald spots at the moment and my new growth is a beautiful curly gray ,silver in front too...do you ever add a color glaze to your hair? It is beautiful. Thank you for the inspiring and joyful video ❤️ and I
You look fab! I think it is so sad that so many women really want short hair but don’t dare to. If you have a great hairdresser he/she will know if this is something you could pull through or not. For me personally, it changed who I was, I got so much attention from people, I suddenly got noticed, my self esteem got so much better. The short hair frames a face in a way long hair won’t and brings out the eyes and cheeks. I had my short hair when I weighed 300 pounds and when I was 125 pounds, it never looked wrong porportioned to my body as you can spike it up and make it big, or slick it down. My feminity came out much more when I had short hair. So many women would look a thousand times better with short hair like this if they just dared to cut it. (After I got short hair I was constantly asked to sit as a model for makeup while noone asked me when I had long hair!) So if you want it, go and get it! I have yet to see a woman that regretted it.
Sorry I missed this tutorial that was published just 48 hours before I my stylist cut my hair using your tutorial "Flattering Makeup Colors for Grey Hair" as the model. We have very similar facial hairlines, and my curly hair springs upward - until I smooth it with heat. Then it falls forward like spike-y bangs. Still cute, but I hope that the texturizing products you're using will work for me. Your makeup tutorials cover ALL my issues. Thanks! and keep 'em coming!
Hi,just find your channel, love it,what product you used?and the following day how do you style your hair?,you use any other product?I am in the transicion to get my hair gray
I would love to see more about your actual haircut. Is the top crown area as short as the back and sides? Do you know the actual length of the front? I had my hair cut into a pixie a year ago and loved that initial fun spiked feel but have lost that along the way. Now I feel like it is longer and flatter and makes me feel kind of blah. I see cuts like yours and keep wanting to go shorter lol but my hair is thinner than yours and I do have some receding at my temples. Thank you for any tips! Just found your videos and love them!
Thanks for watching Shelly! The top front is about 2 1/2 inches, around the ears it is about 1/2 inch. If you showed some photos of this hairstyle to a good hairstylist they would know how to do it. You can get more photos of this style from my Instagram page @silverstylestudio. I do have to have it cut about once every 4 or 5 weeks. Happy New Year!
Thank you for the tips - my hair is very thin and the stylist just cut my hair very very short even shorter than yours on top - so a challenge to style - but thanks for the tips I will try those for mine... pearl
Newly subscribed and really loving your channel! May I ask which products you use if any to maintain your beautiful grey hair. I have just gone grey , my stylist has used a toner to help with the transition, but advises I use a coloured mousse. There are so many products, I don’t know which to choose. Many thanks🤗
Hi Judith, sorry for the delay. I have used Shimmering Highlights by Clairol, I also use Oribe purple shampoo and conditioner. I love Bumble and Bumble products also - I tend to switch around a bit:-) Just don't use any products, pomades, mousses etc that are yellowish in color. When transitioning to silver/grey you have to be a bit patient with the process, but I found it was worth it! Good luck with it!
Hi Melody, no, it's not coarse, it's kind of soft and curly naturally, I know it doesn't look that way though. I get it cut about every 5 weeks. I am probably going to grow it out, I've had this for a long time lol! x
Thanks Noelia! I change my skin care products every now and then, but I have been using Dermalogica for about a year now, before that Murad! I know you're an Avon gal, heard wonderful things about their skincare, you are a great advertisement for them!
You seem like a very nice person...just please show the name of the product you're using up closer so we can read it....love your style....how old are you ????
Someday, I'd like to have a cut similar to yours. I'm always drooling over a really cute pixie cut. My concern if my hair were that short is that I'd look more masculine than I would like. As I'm short and round, I also wonder if a short cut would make me look out of balance (big body-little head). Do you have particular recommendations based upon body size/shape, etc?
Sometimes short hair is easier to make voluminous than longer hair, (which can lay flat to your head) depends on your hair type. voluminous short hair can balance out the body, and look feminine. Also the time you save on styling your shorter hair, you can spend on doing a little more makeup perhaps. Short hair and a good lip color looks good! It's a good idea to go to the best haircutter that you can afford, at least to "design" the cut. If budget permits, you can keep going to that stylist, if not perhaps someone less expensive can keep it up for you, follow what the other person has done. I know it can get expensive, I have to get my hair cut every 5 weeks, I used to go to a $135 person! (NYC prices!) I did find someone excellent now for $55, huge savings. Good luck!
I think I'll just have to become brave! I do have a great haircutter. She does fab knowing how to intuitively cut & tame my unruly waves, so much so, that I don't mind her higher cost. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate your kindness. And thank you for taking the time to make these videos. They are appreciated!
Hi Kerry -Lou ~ Beautiful hair ! recently grew out my natural grey to a long bob ~ decided to go to the hairdressers for a shaping,,,,ok so then thought hey I guess another change would be good so decided to dye it RED ~ BIG MISTAKE . Red looked awful at my age I have too much red in my complexion...could not afford to go back to the salon so I had to remove some of the color with the 'OOPS' product and then remove the rest with bleach. looked very sad indeed so fried and all my lovely hair gone. Another trip to a different salon and now I have a short asymmetrical 'do' very short on the left and down to the chin on m right side ... sort of light ash with a touch of goldish ... all I want is my own hair back which is the same color as yours... so sad today and all my own fault... hair what an hair raising experience... you are my inspiration and it will take a good 4-6 months to get it back... tears now...damn
Aw, so sorry to hear about your hair trauma! Sounds like you have good strong hair though, and it will survive and grow back nice! Some people find it helpful to make an inspiration board for hairstyles that might be good for them, (Pinterest)then you can show your stylist next time you go for a cut. Also, if you would like your hair a cooler tone, you can use a shampoo called "Shimmering highlights" it knocks out some of the brassiness. Good luck!
Could you please show me the back of your short hair? I’ve tried to clipper my hair but can’t get the back right. I have very little hair as I have leukemia. Thanks
Thanks for your question: if you put too much product on before using the flat iron, yes, it can yellow. I like to use most of the product after using the iron. Usually it's the product that's causing the discoloration.
I have a couple of great hairstylists that I go to - Bumble and Bumble in NYC are terrific, I go to Andrew. Also Icon Salon in NYC, I go to Oren. In Montclair NY I go to Raven salon, Mark. I am growing out my hair right now, we'll see how that goes!
Not sure if it's brave or lazy LOL! But seriously, I go to a point where the silver was visable after a few days, but now when I look at old photos, I prefer this look on me. Some people look too young to go grey though, in my opinion.
Beautiful!! I love the style. I like my hair really short like that too. I have a prob finding someone that works with my hair's weirdness. On the sides and back...was that done with an electric razor? If so, what number? My crown grows like it looks like yours does too. Hard to get anyone that can blend and not want to leave the hair in that area sort of long. I tell them let my hair do what it wants, lol. Hard to find someone who understands that. Great video! Almost forgot to tell you that!!
I have a couple of hairstylists that I work with, they all vary in their techniques. Some use the clippers around the ears and back, and some use scissor over comb. My favorite hairstylist uses a combination, I like how he chops it up a bit with a straight razor to get out some of the bulk in the front. He is the most expensive though!
Thank you! I do some simple exercises which I think I'l do a short video on! I always moisturize the neck and chest area when I do my nightly skin care. I like Aveeno moisturizer for this area.
Hi Barbara, thank you! I think you mean the Bumble and Bumble Grooming creme, and the Bumble and Bumble Creme Contour. I think you can get it in Holland. Good luck!
Hi Jen, nice to hear from you! I was signed up with an agency, but they want you to go to so many go-sees. Mostly I do makeup and hairstyling for photoshoots etc, so I don't have the time! Would be fun though! Hope all is well with you. xx
Thank you! I had my hair long for years, it's very bushy and crazy, lot's of work! I like to swim and work out, so this is much easier. I think it suits my face also.
Loved this video, like you my hair gets out of control quickly needing 4-5 week cuts, I haven’t let it go grey yet, love keeping the natural brunette look
If you think longer hair makes someone prettier, you're wrong. It may hide ears that stick out but that's about it. It doesn't hide double chins or neck wattles. Besides, true beauty comes from within. It provides a natural vitality and radiance.
I love your haircut, it looks absolutely fabulous on you ⚘💗⚘
Kerry-Lou, I could cry with joy! This is exactly how I want my hair to look. Thank you for the tips! 💕

Thx..my skin changes according to season. The under of my eye is very dry. I do sell Avon, but I do use other products as well.
I liked the Murad eye cream, its a bit pricey, lasts a long time though.

Cindy Peroceschi Hey Cindy, thanks for watching. I usually get it cut about once every four or five weeks
Hay Kerry-Lou what e beautiful hair jou have Wil jou give mij the name of de bamboe crème pleace? Perhaps i kan buy it in Holland i am 75 j
Hi Barbara, thank you! I think you mean the Bumble and Bumble Grooming creme, and the Bumble and Bumble Creme Contour. I think you can get it in Holland. Good luck!
Hi Kerry Lou, love this video. I've seen your photo on Pinterest, do you model much?
Hi Jen, nice to hear from you! I was signed up with an agency, but they want you to go to so many go-sees. Mostly I do makeup and hairstyling for photoshoots etc, so I don't have the time! Would be fun though! Hope all is well with you. xx
What shampoo do you use?
I like Maison 276, it's great for silver, grey, or blond hair! Also Bumble and Bumble products are wonderful!
Thanks, how long is the top front.
It's about 2 1/2 inches
Why is your hair so short? By choice? BTW, I love it!
Thank you! I had my hair long for years, it's very bushy and crazy, lot's of work! I like to swim and work out, so this is much easier. I think it suits my face also.
Its a very pretty style.for you but not what I would wear. It really suits your pretty face.
Thank you :-D
♥

Thanks for watching, I love hearing from people from around the world! Hi Warsaw xxx
Loved this video, like you my hair gets out of control quickly needing 4-5 week cuts, I haven’t let it go grey yet, love keeping the natural brunette look
The silver/grey is definitely not the best for everyone! Thanks for watching x
you are lovely
💚🎈🙂
🙄🙏💖🌹🌹!
You look great...but why the short short hair cut ?......
Only a pretty lady can get away with this hairstyle
If you think longer hair makes someone prettier, you're wrong. It may hide ears that stick out but that's about it. It doesn't hide double chins or neck wattles.
Besides, true beauty comes from within. It provides a natural vitality and radiance.
