As soon as I saw Thea Colman's Goldwyn Folly, I knew I had to make it. I love everything about it, including the styling. And it just had some cables...I've done cables before, but they are not my favorite! So when I heard about the knit along, I cast it on.....I'm about halfway done now...
I was thinking about the Cloud Sweater. Yours just convinced me to add it to my queue. I'm on my second pair of After Midnight Mitts by Thea Colman. They're kind of addictive. Thanks for turning me on to her!

I finally caught up to date w/ your podcasts ...... I've been bingeing from your #1 for the past 3 weeks. Don't know what took me so long to "discover" your podcasts (except that I don't often Instagram), 'cuz the Ready Needles fellows certainly mention you, but often by first names. I soooo envy your camaraderie and opportunities to actually see and feel the yarn. I'm a Nutmegger, born (87 yrs ago) and raised (UConn grad) and still have family in CT. My Swedish g'mother taught me to knit combo continental at age 6-7, but in those days, it didn't have a name except "wrong" or "backwards" (my Mom knit English because of WW2 sentiments ) so I was mostly self-taught after Grandma gave me the basics...... til the miracle of the internet. Imagine my surprise to find that the style not only had a name, but people wanted to knit that way!!! After 30 yrs of dial-up and DSL (we live rurally .... no cable and cell service is finally giving us 2 bars at the house so we don't hafta long distance down at the cattle guard 2 mi down the road any more), we got StarLink 2 months ago (ah, the joy of no buffering!). Your podcasts are charming, informative, and lethal to the purse (somewhat restrained because computer representation can be kind of iffy).. We've a newly started knitting group at the nearest library branch and I'm hoping there'll be enough interest to get to the June Black Sheep Gathering in Eugene (like your CT Sheep Festival) this year. Nice baby sweaters and buttons...I'm knitting a few jacket type. Choosing the buttons was the funnest part. Laura, if you have to finish the sweater with a different yarn I'd go a bit of a darker gray, not black. Also doing the sleeve cuffs with the darker gray would make it look more purposeful.

Love watching you three, you make the most beautiful knits. When I’m ready to knit a sweater all I have to do is rewatch to get inspiration. I currently knitting a shawl for my mom. I tend to only knit one item at a time, so it amazes me how many you have going.
Laura, when I feel a little washed out from the color of a garment I put on a gold necklace that has a little bit of presence to it, and maybe a simple strand of pearls with it. That breaks up the color from your face and neck to the garment and adds a little something something, Just a thought… for when you might not want the warmth of a shawl or a scarf around your neck.
I just found your podcast and it is great. Love your pink shawl, it is a great color on you.....I am addicted to shawls. I think a black band on the bottom of your gray sweater would be beautiful. or you can make it a vest?

I love watching the 3 of you. Inspiration and fun! I have a lot of knitting goals but I confess to being a shawl 'aholic'. I am always cold in A/C and they are great to have when it's 100 degrees outside but 60 in a restaurant! Laura, I think you should embrace the color block idea but consider the idea of making the bottom of the sweater lighter than the rest and allowing the Rico yarn to stand out more in that section.

Look at the contrast sweater by petite knits which has contrasting parts on the sleeves and body. That might work. I get lots of compliments on the sweater.
Laura…. I can understand totally the feeling about the tennis tournaments. In order to watch Sinner live… I was up at 2 or 3 am…. And has been so worth it! I have an obsession with the same dark green…. Ladies when I grow up I do want to be a great knitter as you 3 are.

Lovely as always 🥰 Laura I use my phone like it’s my brain… your languishing wips maybe put them into your phone in the calendar with an alert to go off in a months time so that reminds you, if you’re not ready to think about it again just move the date forward. With things I need to do, but I don’t want to do, I set an alert on my day and also the day before. When it goes off the day before it gives me a warning but in 24 hours I need to pull my finger out 🤭😂 I like to be organised, especially with the “ugh” things in life. I also though colour block the bottom of your yarn chicken loss sweater. Thanks for sharing, happy knitting 💕

We also knit at our local Library. It is open to our regular knitters as well as to the public to drop in. Many an enthusiastic knitter or crocheter, has learned their craft there. Many knit SHAWLS too! Lol
