You three are like a breath of fresh air. Your laughter and joy is totally infectious. I wish I lived nearer so I could hang out with you!!!l you make my day 😃😃
I loved this episode - Simone’s new cowl looks scrumptious. I’ve been worried about you in this epic snowfall, which I’ve been reading about; glad you’re all okay.Kim, I love your sense of humor and scatalogical talk is what we do in the Adirondacks. I even have a field guide that details all different kinds and how to recognize them. I hope all the folks who watch are subscribing - it’s a known “grumble” of some TH-camrs who admit that people don’t know the value of subscribing and think it’s ok to just watch every week without that formal tie-in. Comments and thumbs up are so great - but now, apparently, we all work for things called “algorithms.” So SUBSCRIBE, you guys! XX
Love the Sheep Harmony! Another plug for Chapman's ice cream. They are local to us. Not only did they keep their employees and pay them during the fire, they saved a school from being closed and they now share profits with their employees. I wish there were more like them, it should be the way of the world. The thing I love about living in a small town, semi-rural area is that community thing, People checking on each other, helping out. And I was so amazed that during a snow storm no-one is expected to be anywhere. Though I dont go to a workplace any more, we were concerned about booking doctor and dental appointments in January because of having to cancel them in case of weather. In the City we would get charged for that. But here the receptionists said " Oh that's a given. No worries at all. Just call and we will reschedule". Winter is easier away from the city! Sadly though, things are changing all too fast here 😒
I just love the sheep all starring wondering what's going on and some moving to the front to see better...just makes me laugh and smile. Lovely podcast as always.
I'm only 18 minutes in but felt compelled to comment so soon as that Coyote calling was absolutely awesome, it made my skin tingle. You are all very brave living out in the wild. Anyway, I'm going to continue watching the rest of the show now but thank you all for bringing such interesting topics every single episode. Kim, I can just imagine your face in the early hours when Ken started woofing😂😂, very quick thinking Ken!
Also PS…loved hearing about all your snowstorm adventures, especially the ones about the wonderful PEI community spirit of watching out for and helping each other through the storms of life! Katie 💕🌹
That person w the tracked not tracked package did watch and it’s all good! The accidentally untracked package arrived ahead of the predicted date! Put a cape on that speedy sheep!
Beautiful music to that harmony, love the sheep all rugged up in their woolly coats. Love the laughter you girls generate, I always enjoy it. Lots of lovely inspiration again. I was quite touched when I read the newsletter about community spirit in difficult times, so heart warming.
Such a joyful podcast! Such a pleasure to sit and watch. Really enjoyed all you talked about...you are a fantastic threesome❤ ...and what about the Harmony part...seeing the sheeps getting together for a family photo shooting😂 was fascinating! I live in Québec and never went easter than Halifax...have to visit your island , soon, I hope!
Just got to watch this episode. Te coyote segment was nice as the coyotes here were singing on the hill behind our barn at about the same time as yours. They do this every year.
Thank you for another wonderful podcast. The harmony section was breathtaking . The music and those precious sheep brought tears to my eyes. You gals are so enjoyable to watch. Simone and Betsy are so creative and talented. I'm always inspired.
Our friend's sheep farm, we looked after last year, were given a 2hr warning the fire was heading towards their farm. Lucinda's partner and son stayed behind. The wind thankfully turned. No sheep were lost. The nearby town Pomonal lost 46 homes. Thats so funny with the scat and paper.
Another fabulous podcast! So many interesting and fun segments, and lots of inspiration, including the blanket MKAL. Loved Simone’s new cowl pattern, and Betsy’s little mouse. That Chestnut cardigan is gorgeous, Betsy’s Scandinavian sweater, and Kim I love that Northumberland blue sweater you are making! I love watching the sheep in the snow, that was lovely. Your podcasts are always great…I’ve been watching for quite sometime now maybe around two years. They keep getting better and better…and last night the time flew! Keep up the great work. A big fan of you all. longtime knitter Katie from Maine ❤️🧶🧦
Fun to watch! Betsy, love your bird. I have that book, and have made a few. I put my Cardinal in my Christmas tree. The sheep are so cute in the harmony part.
I just love catching up with you all on the podcast! Such a warm, friendly vibe the three of you have going! I had to chuckle when you talked about each of you doing one part of the process - each doing either your favorite part or what you don't mind doing. I have found that I enjoy the process of knitting, but I really disklike the finishing parts so much so that I have about a half dozen unfinished projects. I wasn't going to allow myself to start any new projects until I finished those, but that didn't last because I missed knitting! So, those projects will just sit unfinished while I happily enjoy knitting. My mother-in-law used to help me with the finish work because she enjoyed that and it gave her something to while watching TV, but she's no longer able to do my finish work! I look forward to your knitting, crochet AND spinning podcast each time a new episode drops!
My goodness, that model in the new Rowan book is so beautiful! I am thinking about ice cream now, thanks guys. Chapman ice cream is not available in the US. I am thinking about what Betsy said about a serving is just how much you can get in a bowl. Who uses a bowl? Much more efficient to eat right out of the carton. Love Simon's new cowl pattern. Enjoyed the podcast as always. One of my favs.
Once again you have outdone yourself in the Harmony part...both the video and the music! Loved it when they all turned and looked toward Ken. Have to wonder if he was talking to them?? Thanks for the great podcast.
Great podcast as usual. I appreciated the discussion on gauge, I don’t mind doing a swatch to determining gauge but have skipped it for smaller projects and either used more yarn than expected or it was too tight to showcase the knitting. A good reminder about the importance for any project. I enjoyed the harmony section today, when the sheep were lined up, their tiny legs and the white snow it looked like corrugated ribbing! 😊 Have a great couple of weeks.
I love the chemistry between the three of you. When I watch, I feel like I am there in front of you sharing time with friends. 😊 Oh, and I am also from Mtl (moved away 15+ years ago) and Kim, you are right, when it snows even a bit, everyone flips out. Total panic & traffic is mental! 😅
Lots of laughters today !!! Simone your Red Fox Cowl is wonderful, Bravo ! Betsy knitting on the diagonal is called bias. Bird and mouse are so so cute !!! Thanks for this episode and it's harmony part !!!
I agree with others - it’s such a lovely Friday evening to have a new podcast to watch. I love the long episodes and so enjoy each of you sharing ideas, inspiration, and a few laughs. Woah - I’d never heard coyotes before. Best part of the harmony segment is the sheep lining up to watch - like they are posing for us! Thank you for all the time you spend on these. Very jealous of the snow - I’d love to just have one day, but nary a flurry this year.❤
Like others have said, the Harmony section was especially lovely with all the sheep closely attuned to every move of their videographer! Postcard worthy for sure. ❤❤
Always enjoy your “shows” and learn something new. This comment is not about knitting this time but I am in North Carolina and had never heard of Quality Street candy until you all talked about it. The very next day I was watching Doc Martin and the policeman Joe Penhale of their village was handing out Quality Street candy for his station Open House. The people came for the candy but not the station tour Poor Joe! But thanks to you all I knew about Quality Street candy 🙂 Love your knitting!
It's coyote mating season from late January to early March so that's probably why they're communicating a lot. We have a lot of coyotes in my part of Toronto near the waterfront and there's a pack in the cemetery near me.
We look forward to your videos. This one did not disappoint. And the sheep in the Harmony part…💕. They are a nosey bunch! “What’s he doin’? I don’t know…does he have food??”😃. Love your channel.
Yeah🎉It’s Saturday morning with you three❤I live in the States in Indiana and we have many cyotes. In fact a pack attacked our two shelties years ago killing one and injuring the other. We always become alerted when we see or hear them. We too have horses and have heard stories of a horse being attacked by a pack of coyotes. 😢 I’m glad to hear your sheep are not in danger of them. I applaud and agree with your “ice cream” philosophy! 😊
Yep, coyote. This kid also mating season. So lots of calling and yipping as part of that. So be mindful of your smaller outdoor pets. In the warmer spring, when the groups are moving they are noisy. Lovely pdcast. I love your friendship dynamics and your knitting expertise.
Those sheep are a lovely bunch. Another full of content episode., love to see what you ladies are working on. Lower priced Rowan mag, now how did that happen? Some nice tops in it too. Glad you all survived the snow.
I LOVE the inside flap on the Knitted Birds book as well. It is such a well designed book. Note: If you do order this book in paperback it will not have the open end flaps with all those beautiful birds so definitely get the hardcover - you won’t be disappointed. I’ve knit several birds, including a “Canadian crow” for my friend in PEI!
Loved the peaceful Harmony. What a lovely flock! That large dark one in the middle looks like the leader!❤ I’m pretty sure I’ve knitted the sweater for myself that Betsy is knitting. I would love to send a pic to you. I taught a class on it and it was so fun to see six different versions of the same sweater. Just wanted to share but don’t know how to get pic from my phone onto the comments section🫤
Thinking of you all in the Martinez as you dig and rejoice in the help from friends and neighbours❤. We don’t get those kinds of dumps of snow here in the Rockies of BC, but have had our share of snow, and we are so thankful for our neighbours helping neighbours. Those acts of kindness are really so special ❤️
Sheep are so funny ... "Listen up girls, Ken's taking a video so all together now move forward towards him ... stop, stand still, wait, ok move forward, stop now, wait, hey, brown fleece you're sideways, straighten up with the rest of us, that's better, now white fleece is sideways, that's enough, cut". I always love your podcast, thank you!
I again thoroughly enjoyed your podcast. What more could you add to make it more enjoyable? Coyote scat, knitting centerfolds, squishy yarn, and beautiful sheep in the snow. BTW, i have a book recommendation for Harmony Reads. It's called Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann. Originally written in German, it was translated into English. It's about a herd of sheep trying to solve a mystery. Very entertaining.
Because of Simone’s zen when she’s support spindling I have begun doing it myself. Self taught from TH-cam videos. I LOVE it! I agree It definitely is more difficult to procure spindles and much more expensive than drop spinning. Support spinning is my preference now. Could you maybe do a little bit on an episode about what your process is after you finish the spin? Moving it off the spindle, storing the cop, and then plying set up……that would be magnificent
We have coyote here in the hills and canyons around us just 20 miles from San Diego city, in fact they are right in the city too. We sometimes hear them when out walking. Today we saw some scat on the path that was a weird shape which made us look twice and have a giggle. Sadly we didn't think to take a photo! Thanks for the Episode. Jane
You are always my first pick to watch on Fridays. I could have watched the sheep longer as they stood like statues then all moved forward closer to Ken. Does he get a chuckle out of their behaviour too😁
Love seeing the sheep. Are they safe from the coyotes? Simone's cowl is pretty. Reminds me of her Iditarod mittens which I knitted (my first pair). The pattern was very well written.
I’m a so so beginner and I love two at time everything so, mittens socks, and I haven’t knit a sweater “yet” however I am going to attempt all on one or two circular needles. I just have to share that because for me two at a tome saves time 😀❤️👏🏻
FYI for those trying to keep house pets safe from coyotes...I saved all my salon haircut clippings and gave them to a lady with a small dog. She wanted to let the dog out without worrying about her dog being attacked by coyotes. They lived out in the country. She set some of the hair out in clumps about 1 foot apart in a long line some 2 feet away for the end of the dog lead... then next time she placed it about 2' away from the last line of hair...and so on till it was well out of reach of the dog's area. This hair was always replaced after snow/rain. She said it worked well to keep coyotes away from the porch area because the tracks came up to the line of hair, stopped & turned away. Before trying the hair method the tracks in the snow came right up to the porch. They really didn't like the human hair. My Uncle used it in his garden/yard and saved all his landscaping which deer had almost completely stripped. He said each time they put fresh hair down the deer came over a small hill, heads went up and they'd sniff and turn to walk away. That said I loved all the knitting, spinning and the new cowl design.
I love the patterns you are creating. I’m waiting to knit them and may wait to get them until the end. Do you think you’ll make an ebook? I’d be willing to pay. I really enjoy each part of your video.
Thank you for a great podcast, always a Joy😊. I silly question for you, is there a podcast where you show all your colours of Selkirk worsted? I have been watching for a 3 years and just don’t remember what episode I saw them in. Have a wonderful day 😊

Loved watching the Harmony Part with all the sheep just stopping to watch the camera person. They were posing!! Adorable 🥰
yes, all nosing ahead of each other, being Divas! so cute
A glass of wine, fire going, my knitting and the Fleece and Harmony ladies. The best way to spend an evening after a busy day. Thank you again.

I just loved the video at end of snow and sheep how did they pose for you just precious.

Thanks for the shipping explanation. Shipping to Vancouver has been excellent.
Coyote scat has a lot of hair in it. I believe it is Coyote mating season as well. 🥰Sharon.
LOVE feces discussions on a knitting podcast. ❤
Love seeing the sheep. Are they safe from the coyotes?
Simone's cowl is pretty. Reminds me of her Iditarod mittens which I knitted (my first pair). The pattern was very well written.
I need some of that November sky yarn!

I had to laugh. The sheep in the Harmony Part looked like they were lining up to pose- choreography at its best!

It’s coyote breeding season too.
What fun! Thanks

Thank you for a great podcast, always a Joy😊. I silly question for you, is there a podcast where you show all your colours of Selkirk worsted? I have been watching for a 3 years and just don’t remember what episode I saw them in. Have a wonderful day 😊
We have too many colours now too show them all. But you can see them here: fleeceandharmony.com/collections/selkirk-worsted-new
Maybe I missed it - where do you find the pattern for the Festival Fox Cowl?
Here is the link to Simone's beautiful pattern. www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/midnight-fox-cowl
How do I send you a picture from my cell phone?

Here where I am in southern Ontario, it's been the winter of practically no snow ...although winter's not over 😊. After the Marie Wallen KAL ends, perhaps consider one using Jennifer Beale patterns? What a great podcast. Great fun and laughs. I really enjoyed it. ❤️🧶
I also love the sheep hanging behind you. I look for him every time your on.
Fantastic episode! Always enjoy seeing the sheep!
Love all the good natured chatter. Please share the spindly thing trick for using up the one ply and Simone’s tips she learned for spinning well on supported spindles. 😍
