How it come that DC are have no faith in Supergirl if they giving her solo series every now and then, and even the TV series?? They have less faith in Lobo then in Supergirl, for God's sake!! I think DC are pretty much know that "a female Superman" is a win/win concept, but when it comes to the script not too many writers really knew and know what to do with the heroine in question.
It's a shame that DC didn't have faith in the series. So much so that the TPB is cut horribly. The cut-off text throughout is massively disappointing. Hopefully, the hardcover will be better.
When Tiff is on the couch with Ben and Ethan we're either gonna get a crazy and cool book or a heartfelt story that will absolutely make Ben tear up. There is no middle ground

The part that made me cry was at Kara digging the mass grave, and offering to show that man where his daughter’s body was. I also think it’s a testament to how well written this book is that there are multiple different parts that different people cry at. Some very powerful emotions are weaved into this book, and it really does invoke that catharsis I come to Tom King maxi-series for.
For me it was when they're at that beautiful monastery, surrounded by the butchered corpses of monks who didn't even fight back, and Kara finally hits her breaking point, so she flies into the sun where she can scream and cry without hurting Ruthye or damaging the building. It's such a heartbreaking moment, she's spent so long keeping everything to herself, bottling her feelings up, and putting on a hopeful face for everyone else that when she finally can't take it anymore, she can't control her strength and has to physically isolate herself to let it all out. It's not until the very end of the story that she lets herself be emotionally vulnerable with another person.
When Tiffany mentioned she was hosting I immediately thought "Great we're continuing Sandman", thinking of the synergy with the show. Not disappointed at all. "Woman of Tomorrow" is such stunning story! Evely's art is otherworldy.
@@halfmettlealchemist8076 at this point this is pretty much what he does lol. (If I’m not mistaken) He has one ongoing rn and it’s his creator owned Love Everlasting. I’m pretty sure he got a new Batman book (Batman the brave and bold iirc) but that’s gonna be an anthology (I think) so he could still do what’s functionally 6 issue miniseries within it but focussed on different bat fam characters.
It is certainly up there, but the final arc of Peter David’s Supergirl called Many Happy Returns is fantastic and in contention even though that’s Linda with the passing of that torch and she meets a young Kara pre-Crisis and mentors her. It might be the best Kara story ever at that length. Many would cite Crisis on Infinite Earths #7 with Kara’s death. Spoiler alert, Kara appears at the end of Christmas with the Super-Heroes #2 which was a huge deal since it was after her death with an incredible speech. She explains why heroes do what they do to Deadman who misses the adulation of the crowd as a performer. “We don't do it for the glory. We don't do it for the recognition... We do it because it needs to be done. Because if we don't, no one else will. And we do it even if no one knows what we've done. Even if no one knows we exist. Even if no one remembers we ever existed.” She says at the end, “My name is Kara. But I doubt that will mean anything to you." It’s so powerful since no one remembers Kara after Crisis and says as a meta thing, “We remember” from the creators of that story. Kara appears 2 times in Peter David’s run to help Linda before being reintroduced officially by Jeph Loeb in his Superman/Batman run.
Kara is my favorite DC character. with all her loss and tragedies she inspires others to hope and she always chooses the right thing even if it hurts herself.
The episodes featuring Tiffany have a lot more depth and way more cathartic than featuring Sal’s which are more silly. Which isn’t a bad thing but it’s nice to have a different depth to a story there. Keep up the great work guys!!!

Tiffany, thank you so much for doing this episode. Supergirl has been my favorite comic book character since I was in my early teens (Currently mid 20s) when learning about her origin literally saved me from a near suicidal bout of depression and this book was the first time I ever felt like the person writing her understood the character in the same way I felt I did, so for you to elevate it in this way to the rest of the Population when some of them may never hear of it otherwise makes me so happy.

Ethan hating dragons but wearin an MK shirt is hilarious😂
I love dragons, I just hate how often I'm seeing them in modern comics
@@ryebreadreturn1 Heyy thanks for responding Ethan you just made my night dude
I loved this series….it was such a beautiful story
Truly, a series that has been slept on
A shame, really.
Although the Tom King part made me hesitant to read it, sorry to say.
At least I know it’s worth reading.
@@daelen.cclark Tom King usually delivers with his maxi-series and the way people talk about him makes it seem like he kicked their dog since wow, is it overboard with the reaction to him from certain people.
Can’t wait to see the movie in a couple years
One of the rare books I read before the back issues lol
Super excited to see James Gunns adaptation of this!
Woman of Tomorrow was one of my Top 5 reads of 2021!
The artwork is stunning🤩
I finally read this on Tiffany’s recommendation, and I’ll be honest, I was so eager to get to the end and see if justice was done, or to get to the next big splash page of awesome, that at times I was a little annoyed by the beautiful prose. Which says a lot since I’m usually a words-first reader - the art is just that damn good!
After rewatching this, definitely going to give it another read to soak in that prose!
Thanks for doing this book! I'll be honest this is the best house of El book over heard in a long while. I'm definitely gonna pick this up after my best paycheck 😜
This series was the first solo series I’ve read staring SuperGirl and I want more of this !
And Ben.....😂
Ethan complaining about all the dragons while he's wearing a mortal kombat shirt... with a dragon on it
Really wish someone would have noticed Ethan's shirt during the dragons rant 😂
Me too!
I think dragons are fine...there's just too many in comics right now. They're like zombies at this point.
I was waiting for this one!! Such a great mini-series
I thought you had all the issues! It’s worth getting them all physically since it’s such a good story.
