Haven't watched with audio, but how much hp/tq did you get with the stage 1? And did it affect the MPG at all? I'm honestly considering a 2022 Ascent Limited, but if there's a way to eek out a couple more MPG with a tune I'd very much consider it.
Just bought my wife a new ascent touring and came from. X5 diesel that was very fast, is there anything I can do to make it faster and not void the warranty? I am a diesel guy and don’t know much about Subaru motors, any ideas would be appreciated!
@@ThatWasherNerd the 11 year old TR690 design has turned out to be really solid when used in whatever torque and load band it's programmed for, for whichever model Subie it's in.
The engine is actually really strong. It can handle about 500 hp with the right modifications. The transmission is the limiting factor. It has about as much power as the CVT can take.
The limit on the CVT is cooling. It needs to be cooled more than a regular transmission. However, since they removed the constant acceleration, it's not as big of an issue.
The FA24 in the Ascent is Subaru's latest turbo engine, and will likely be on Subaru's future uplevel/ performance cars. Looks like Cobb is making sure they fully understand the platform so they can sell reliable OTS tunes and packages that work in a variety of environments.... if I were to guess
I'm not gonna lie, but I didn't expect that orange C7 Vette to be seen for half the video.
I’m not gonna lie this made me smile...and I was a bit worried for you.
Not gonna lie ,when I first hit the gas in an Ascent I told myself this is a goddamn sleeper lmfao, but now I know I was right. Nice vid🙏🏽
Pretty good speeds considering it's size and height
For real i thought that corvete would be gone in the blink of an eye
Other drivers...”wtf is that a Subaru on my ass!” 😷
Soccer mom coming in hot!
F1: COTA has the worst bumps ever
Ascent: 🤷🏻♂️
Ascent: what bumpers?
Ascent: COTA has Bumpers?! I was just there last year!
This is proof that a bad driver can make a fast car look slow. That C7 was not apexing, and couldn't hold a line to save his life.
I have a new 2021 Ascent but I’m not gonna tune it. It’s not that I don’t trust the tuning I don’t want to trash a warranty.
I got one of these to replace an outback, and feel much more powerful, although the make about the same numbers

Lol wtf did I just watch
The other cars just don’t pull away very fast at all.
Could y’all put out tunes for the Stinger PLEEZ?
Handles well
needs a resonator delete or something.... is that the all electric version ?
What's the change in power? Nothing on the Cobb site yet.

It's not the motor you have to worry about. It's the CVT

those vetts need to learn how to drive lol
Did the CVT explode after this?
Most likely
A nissian CVT would have. Subaru CVT is actually not that bad.
@@jjm2948 the CVTs will continue to get better as long as owners get their periodical transmission inspection for R&D to study
The CVT only explodes if you try to put more than 400 HP to the wheels with no additional CVT cooling.
wtf
😂
Poor CVT
It survived much worse than that! haha
@@cobbtuning not past 330-350whtq it don’t ;)
this will void your warranty
You pay to play lol
Depends on the dealership.
No shit.
