    Thank you very much. Augh the trials today. Has rear ac. Won't hold freon. Turns out the rear evap line was cut. Figures. I was wondering why they had the main rear condenser line disconnected. Bought it used as you probably figured. Again thank you sooooo much. I now see i have to connect/fix the aux front evap tube. Sounds stupid but i thought that cut line might have been a pressure release or something it was right at a bend and looked like something factory. Again, thank you. Great video best explained on the tube.

    I love your explanation and especially the tutorial about how an AC system works, I never could understand it before! I subscribed and Rang that bell! Also I liked your video on Semi-trailer brakes, just because it turned an unknown and complicated impossible, into a possible to DIY. I don't own a big trailer, yet....
    Thank you for taking the time to explain in explicit detail. (Also, I love your Van, she's a beauty, that's my dream car, lol)

      glad you enjoyed the video. a lot of learning how to fix things really starts with understanding how it works in the first place. once you understand how something is suppose to work it suddenly becomes easier to figure out what is needed to make something broken work again. then one thing relates to another before you know it you can walk up to something you have never seen before look at it and know how to fix it.

    Wow great video I had no idea that's how ac works. I have a 1992 chevy G20 without ac since 2011 took twice to get it fix and it stoped working a few months later, so I just got use to baking in my van in the summer... Wish u lived in florida I would definitely take it to you👍

    been doing hvac for 30 years. you got to get the gauges down to 29.9 for adequate vacuum. You should also go further than that and pull a vacuum down to 500 microns. There is also a formula for adding oil. it is dirrectly related to how much refrigerant is in the system. I believe it is total pounds of charge times 1.7 plus 2. Most manufacturers tell you to dump oil out the old compressor and measure the exact amount to put back in.

    The other videos I saw tell you to only add to the low pressure side, yet you opened both valves at first before starting the engine. Why? Thanks!

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      With the engine off it can only equalize to the pressure in your bottle. By going in threw both ports it's a bit faster because it doesn't have to flow threw the expansion valve. You do want to make sure the high pressure side is closed before you start the engine and keep it closed. High pressure side can be 4-500 psi when running witch could over pressurize a small can of freon
