- The Koh-i-Noor diamond was lost when Shah Tahmasp sent it to Nizam Shah of Ahmednagar. But Kohinoor made a reappearance in the Mughal treasury during the reign of Shah Jahan. His son, Aurangzeb, seized power and all his father's possessions, except the Kohinoor.
In this video, I discuss how Aurangzeb seized power but couldn't get his hands on Kohinoor as it kept evading him.

Your point about pictures is right, but it's almost impossible to find pictures of old Indian history. You can still get images of Indian history from the year 1930 and onwards, but pictures of the time before that are extremely difficult to find.

Brother Kohinoor diamond was kept with his father,Shahjahan when he was imprison by Auranzeep as mirror to reflect Mamtaj Mahel toom or Tajmahel. That was why the franch man didnt see it.
