- Kohinoor was now in the hands of Ahmad Shah Durrani, but not for long. When he invaded India for the 9th time, he was stopped by the Marathas, led by Sadarshivrao and the Maratha prince, Vishwasrao. In the third battle of Panipat that followed, Marathas were defeated, but Abdaali never came back to India. He died afterwards, and the fate of Kohinoor, once again, hung in balance.
In this video, I trace the journey of Kohinoor after Ahmad Shah Durrani and how finally it landed in the hands of Ranjeet Singh - the founder of the Sikh empire.

aur use ye khabar bhi di gyi ki 1 lakh marathao ki fauj ab bhi pune me maujood hai , jaise hi unhe panipat ki khabar milegi vo palatvaar karenge ,

For your kind information Maharaja defeated Zaman Shah 3 times . He himself was a powerless ruler of Afgan. And he gave Governor Ship to Ranjit Singh. Who literally capture him In Saman Fort of Lahore. What a joke.
Actually Zaman Shah want help from Ranjit Singh he send his messangers to Ranjit Singh that he not want to fight. So Ranjit Singh understand his conditions. And he helped him in finding of his armory. And take promise to never attack their again.

i think there is some misconception about lahore ... whatever i read in punjabi books ...according to that text shah zaman has nothing to give or either recognize the region under the maharaja ranjit singh...because at that time shah zaman did not have any control over lahore rather it was in the hands of maharaja...so it was wrong to say that shah zaman recognized or given the ruling power of lahore to maharaja ...
