I love the development of your game but I hope that you work on a marketing strategy.
I watch the indie developer who may made "We who are about to die" and was impressed by the level of detail and methods he used in promoting his game even to what day to release it.

As a solo developer and coder maybe do some research and upskilling in game marketing so you work get more rewarded at the end.

Lost Relic, I've been following the progression of your game development journey for a little over a year now, and I hope you know that you serve as a huge inspiration for me (and I am sure plenty other of indie developers as well). It's nice to see that you set aside time to be human and that you take time to implement mechanics you find meaningful to the gameplay. Thanks for releasing videos and sharing the behind the scenes. Was a great privilege to play this latest build of Blood and Mead with you , my friend! There's so much in the game that has not been revealed yet, I'm excited for people to check it out. Especially the 'mead' stuff, holy hell that is epic. The game is tough and challenging, but rewards patience and timing. Been a great year of dev once again , here's to doing it all in 2024 mate! One of my favorite game journeys to follow. I think the game is made better by you taking your time with it and enjoying life rather than slaving away to put something out as soon as possible. I'm really glad that there are new details about the development of Blood And Mead. When I see such videos, I understand that the life of indie developers is not all about game development (as you rightly pointed out). In general, I'm happy that you continue to release videos, looking forward to the game's release, and I hope to keep working on my own project in a similar way.

This is beyond impressive and very inspirational. I can’t wait to play this game!
While watching the test play of the game I noticed you could add something on Theme to when the character dies. Instead of "Dead" being the game over text have "Valhalla is Calling" with Valkyries swooping down to take you back to the last checkpoint. To add even more complexity have "Valhalla" trigger only if you die to an enemy where any other environmental or self caused death trigger the "You have disappointed your ancestors"
The new "marshland/swampland" area looks SO cool! You absolutely nailed the atmosphere! I especially like the flies and the bubbles along the top of the water. It's the small details that count!
Great stuff. Gald to see some more progress on this as I have been following it for a long time now and keeps me inspired.

Loved the video! It is really great to not only see the progress you make with Blood And Mead, but also to see how your videos advance in their content and editing. Not sure how I came across your channel.. but so glad I did because your videos showing all this are so epic and entertaining to watch! As a fellow game dev, it's those moments when you work really hard on implementing something you hope will be cool, and then getting chills when you see it work out exactly as you had planned that keeps me coming back to making games. Also, I share your hatred of UI design 😅
Sometimes I look back at the systems and muse: "wow how did I manage to make these things!?" You are so right about it being the hook that keeps us coming back for more pain! and yeah, UI is rough....
