I'm currently in my 3rd attempt to make my 2D platformer and stumbled across your channel the other day. Really inspiring stuff. The way you breakdown design principles is quite unique.

This is almost identical to my dev week. Only difference is all the working out bits are just in my imagination and replaced with eating far too much junk food.

it's never too late to change that, my friend. If you want to take on healthier habits, you're the only one who can take that decision.

Your graphics and animations look outstanding. Every attack/kill feels satisfying just from watching.
I loved how you shined light on all the physical activities and breaks throughout the week. I've found running and rock climbing to be ESSENTIAL in keeping my mood and body feeling right during the workweek. Super important when doing something as potentially isolating and sedentary as working on solo indie projects!

Holy cow! The editing of this video is superb! Can definitely tell you put a lot of work into it. I really love these style of videos every once in a while since it gives us a peek at the person behind the game. And on the game dev side, Blood and Mead is really coming together! I'll be honest, when I first came across you, I watched the videos largely because I liked the grounded nature you presented game dev and the advice given. Blood and Mead was something I thought sounded neat but wasn't that interested in, but now it's really looking great! Cannot wait to try it out when it comes out, man!

I really needed this. Thank you. I've been having a hard time lately finding a balance in my life. I feel like my project is going on forever (6 month concept demo has turned into a 2 year vertical slice) and I'm not hitting milestones as often anymore. I feel like I need a routine to make my life feel more fulfilling. Seeing your routine is inspirational and perhaps I can try to do more to feel better in my mind and body.

I started following your journey from the beginning of the channel (I think 2020) and it is nice to see you are making good progress in your game. Kudos to you because despite you have a family you manage to set some time to keep working on your project. I only live with my gf and I struggle a lot to keep practicing gamedev lol.
