Also, Disney really should finally fix the hyena controversy. When The Lion King 1994 was in production, hyena experts helped Disney with the movie as long as they promise to potray hyenas in positive light. And Disney lied through their eyes. They potrayed theese fascinating and inteligent species as just stupid scavengers. This is unacceptable. And many people hate hyenas only because of The Lion King. 😢

When this trailer featuring Kiros and his pride of white lion, I was shocked because I remember the original The Lion King film in 1994 have a certain elements of the film were thought to bear and a claims of resemblance to Osamu Tezuka's 1960s Japanese anime television series titled Kimba the White Lion, with some similarities between a number of characters and various individual scenes
But community is toxic towards this now, idk why only CUS they changed story from book and lion guard, listen that book and those series were never canon, one of the animators even said that mufasa and scar were never brothers, scar was an outcast and got accepted by mufasa back then when they were young, this is really accurate only roles have been changed wich makes this more exiting!!!!! 3:05 also before anyone says those are albino lions, big no, these are lions with an reccesive gene called leucism wich causes partial loss of pigmentation, lack of melanin in skin and coat, others no, unlike albinos wich is full loss of pigmentation, to distinguish them better albino animals have red eyes and are full on white, while leucistic animals have blue, white or black eyes with coat also having fades of creams and grays and Yea white lions are actually a thing, but they are only found in kruger national park and near that area and usually these lions dont survive beacuse of their unusual colors, but they are indeed widespread in zoos, with belgrade zoo in serbia concidered as the best breeding center of white lions
Well, The Lion King fans have variety of opinions. For example, 99% of fans love Timon and Pumba most, but to me they are kinda overrated. Timon may still be ok, but Pumba... he is just a disgusting idiot who farts all the time. That's why I don't like Timon and Pumba TV series and I don't like The Lion King 1 1/2 either. When I was watching The Lion King 1994 for the first time I was mainly foucused on lion characters, espcially Simba. I really wish there was a TV show about Simba's childhood, but unfortunately it's impossible, because many people hate Simba. And that's sad to me, because Simba is my favourite character of all movies and cartoons.
I only dislike the idea of making Mufasa a usurper , bcz Mufasa was the heir of appointed by his father, to make him an outsider betrays Mufasa and Simba arc
I feel like this new trailer was specifically designed to address those people who judging the over all quality of this based on looks, wrongly held preconceptions and small borderline "retcons". I am cheering for you Mr Jenkins! Show them your arts potential!

The live action Lion King movie and the Mufasa prequel is a separate continuity from the 2d Lion King 90s animation movie. The same obviously goes for the Lion Guard series.
Also, it seems that this movie's plot involving the white male lion and his pack may have taken inspiration from the documentary "The Lions Of Sabi Sands".

You are correct Mufasa became king bcz his father was king originally but Disney has to break something called tradition and always tries to introduce modern views, so they made Mufasa an illegal immigrant who came in the country and took control of it 😂

I actually loved the live action version of The Lion King. It’s nowhere near as great as the original, but I thoroughly enjoyed the remake.
