Yeah scars name has always been Taka, it changed when he got his scar over his eye. Mufasa became lost as a cub and his family is somewhere up river. They can be seen at 2:31. Each pride in different territories have a male lion who runs things. Mufasa was destined to become the king over all lions around the pride lands.
Scar’s real name has always been revealed to be Taka since the 90’s. That’s not something they just made up. Read the Lion King books from the 90’s. A Tale Of Two Brothers I think it’s called. And originally Mufasa and Scar was never meant to be blood related brothers. That’s something they added to the script at the last minute. Also Mufasa’s father is the king of Pride Rock. Scar’s father is the king of a different area. By the end of the movie Mufasa gonna find his real parents and find out he’s the king of the Pridelands.
Apparently, the “Tales of Two Brothers” books were fan fiction that managed to get the Disney approval to prevent copyright. I dunno about copyright and all that, but I’d imagine even if Disney just stuck their stamp on it to maybe shut the author up, they still own the ideas and can use that if they want.
Disney isn’t making up anything they’ve been released a book years ago with the lineage even in the og movie scar is upset simba is born because he was supposed to be next in line but then simba was born
When I first seen this trailer I though that both Mufasa and Scar fought Kiro and Scar lost and Mufasas was able to beat kiro which is how Mufasa became king.
06:25 what you say is nonsense, scar’ hatred towards mufassa, makes much more sense in this new story where we learn that scar and mufassa were not brothers and that it was scar who was part of the royal family and destined to be king and not mufassa
I love the idea told that Mufassa should not become king basically that it was in fact Scar who was a member of the royal family, that he and Scar were not brothers in reality, that Scar saved Mufassa's life who insisted that Mufassa live with them, and that his be Mufassa we don't know how who became king instead of Scar, it's a genius idea because it teaches us why Scar felt such hatred towards Mufassa, really Disney I congratulate them, we would say that they will finally stop making woke films and concentrate on making films with real stories
As silly as it may sound, I kinda think the 2019 re-make wasn’t so much “look, another re-make” but more of them saying “we’re gonna make this a franchise bigger than it already is. 2019 re-make is just a starting point” but it also allowed them to make alterations. Something basic like different accents between Mufasa and Scar May have been nothing special in the OG version but to again make one “British” and the other “American” for me is them saying the two aren’t related. They had the chance to give them both the same accent but decided not too and there’s gotta be a bigger reason why……well, now we know why.
Story doesn’t have to be the same or perfect. You can only do so much with a story piecing together from old scripts as the original creator is dead….i feel people are getting mad mainly cause it’s not original but not everything in the world can be an original people can cry about it if they want to.
"All about the money" indeed. Im so done with disney. They ruined 101 dalmations, Alladin, lion king, starwars, Marvel, Snow White, Alice in wonderland, peter pan, willow, the little mermaid, etc. All for a quick buck and trying to rely upon modern dei crap and nostalgia bait. The only reason these cgi films gross any kind of profit is because the newer generations have no idea what the originals are like or what made them so great. So them this is the original. Then they get taught to accept anything that is popularized. They have no respect for the 2d hand drawn animations of the past. They have no ability to think critically so it doesn't click to think that this undermines the whole scar being a villain taking over the pride. Remember the same generation that will say they enjoyed this film enjoyed skibidi toilet and the whuak tuah girl while growing up with baby shark and their faces stuck in tablets. Ive seen plenty of other shows or films that utilize iconic disney characters like snow white or alice in wonderland. They do not need to rewrite the entire character or story. They take little elements like the name or parts of their story or their iconic look and use them without ruining the original source material.
Our childhood is dead. Stop with the nostalgia, its a different time now. I also love the classic better, been watching then sinx ea 4 year old. We have to move on from that
I feel like if you are not an actual lion king fan people should not do reactions to it without knowing everything that’s going on if you read the books and really watch the movies you will know 👍🏾
Yea na this was a big miss from yall. Clearly you went into this wanting to hate it so you just eye rolled and questioned anything in the trailer. I'm all for this because it's actually an original story tied to a classic story rather than just another live action remake with the exact same story as the animated version. You shouldn't have even bothered reacting to this let alone post this when it's clear you didn't want to. Thanks for wasting your and our time.
Sorry but this story is not the actual story I wrote the script of the real story and they are brothers from birth and a lot more stuff makes sense when I wrote it. Whoever made this did not do a single thing of research
I don’t think they wanted the original story for many reasons I can think why they wouldn’t go with original story especially since the original creator is dead.
It makes sense! In the first Lion King. Scar had a British accent. If you look at Mustafa and Scar they don't look like they are related.
Yeah scars name has always been Taka, it changed when he got his scar over his eye.

This is what happens when u don't read the books and only watch the movies Taka called himself scar after receiving that scratch
I thought it was obvious they weren't related, lmao

Thank you
@croceyzx2433it’s also cannon along with the lion guard
Disney isn’t making up anything they’ve been released a book years ago with the lineage even in the og movie scar is upset simba is born because he was supposed to be next in line but then simba was born
Ok so just look all of your questions up and Mufasa didn’t do anything their dad thought that Mufasa was stronger so he made him king and scar got mad
When I first seen this trailer I though that both Mufasa and Scar fought Kiro and Scar lost and Mufasas was able to beat kiro which is how Mufasa became king.
Im happy its different. Read the books or watch the animated movie or watch Lion Guard if you want the same old same. Im excited I can't wait.
Mufasa:The Lion King looks amazing. I can’t wait!
The eyes are the reference to the lion king animated movie scar~ green eyes and mufasa- hazel eyes)
It doesn't make sense??? Huh.
5:50 Uh, yes, they want you to watch it. Lol

Scars name is accurate cuz it said on the lion king website that scars name is takka oh yeah and takka means trash and Mufasa means king

Scars name has always been Taka, its better to do research before only going off the knowledge of the films. It dosnt tell the full story
Thry retcon stuff all the time idc im excited for it as someone that watched the original one and watched all the Disney shows about lion king.
No scar is not adopted Mufasa is
SCAR DID NOTHING WRONG!

Hey!
The final trailer has been released, so where's your reaction?
I'm going to see it!

Do you ppl do research or naaa
I agree with Tasha...and it took me a long time to get over his death in The Lion King so I don't want to re-visit that
Lions don't live long and they looked old or mature when Simba was born.
🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶😘😘😘😃👍👍👍👍
This was I waste of my view ignorance is bliss

Fan fiction doesn't count as "real story". You have zero ownership of this ip so you have zero reason to be entitled to it
