You must be pleased as punch with your scarf, it's a beauty! Nice for you to have a complete record of making it from start to finish, thank you for sharing the process with us. xx
Dear Angela, Everything about this spin was just pure perfection... from the braid, such beautiful spinning of singles, to how even you had it on the bobbin, and of course the stunning gradient you got in the end. Really well done. I saw the scarf a few videos ago and commented even then how lovely it came out, but I really fell in love in your spinning today. Lots of kisses Ivana xxx
The first project I made on my RH loom was the inevitable sock yarn scarf, and I folded it over a nice wooded coat hanger, seamed a channel to keep it on (zipper foot helps) then sewed more channels to hold all my various shuttles and long bit. This assembly can then be hung decoratively on your wall, looking like some native dream catchers type wonderfulness!
Wow - what a great video thank you! My husband and I have just watched this in bed before getting up🙈We are now late up but🤷🏼♀️It’s raining! My husband is always interested in seeing looms as he made mine, so he joined me. That scarf is amazing - I love the gradient. It was great seeing how you worked the braid of fibre to get it in order to spin how you wanted it. Thank you for sharing. As always, you are an inspiration 🙏
Wow it turned out so pretty Angela. Thanks for showing us. Very nice length to it too. Yeah please show us more weaving. It's a very intersting process.
Lovely to have you back. Andy and I both enjoyed the video. Some of his favourite colours went into foxy. I love the golden mustard. It was fascinating watching the whole process. The foxy colourway has been put forward for re do. I suspect fibre and yarn. I dusted the e spinner off yesterday. Must practice more. Take care. Xx💕🌈
It’s an absolutely beautiful colour way. If he does dye it again I will definitely buy some. I think it would be fun to also do a fractal spin with it and compare the results 😃 Yay for getting your espinner back out again 😃💃💃
I’m with you girl! I need someone to sort me out as well. Your yarn turned out so beautifully even and the colors are gorgeous. Wonderful video showing the entire process, Angela. Thank you for putting it all together for us. Take care 🤗
I’m much better at organising other people than myself so one day I’ll hop on a plane to Chicago and come and play with …. I mean help you sort out your fleece collection 😉😃🤣🤣
Oooh, how fab to ‘see’ you again! Hope the roof work is going/went well 😁 You do like to live dangerously don’t you?! 😈 Worked out though, that scarf is a triumph! 😍😍😍 Hand dyed, spun and woven, you just can’t replicate the depth and nuances of colour 🥰 Much like the 50 shades windy beach, now there’d be inspiration for a project! 🐑🤗
The roof work went well thank you and we’re pretty much back to normal 😃 aww thank you, yes when it comes to my making I definitely leap before I look and sometimes I do come a cropper 🤣 Thankfully al went well this time 😃 hehe I definitely think there will be some beach inspired weaving in my future 😃
Hi Ange, I'm a bit behind with your vlogs with being on holiday in Scotland. It's fascinating watching how your organise your fluff🤩 That yarn came out fabulous😍 Yeah a beach scene, I didntcturn my headphones down. I love that sound🥰🥰🥰 Your scarf is lovely 😍 Stay safe xx
Hi Angela, thankyou for sharing this video podcast on Spinning and Weaving. I have a stash of handspun and fibre The handspun is from using Drop Spindles, I have a few yards of handspun on my Nano 1.1. You have given me the inspiration to start weaving with it and also showing that I can sit on the floor to spin or weave. I dint have a Rigid Heddle Loom but I do have some Lap Looms that I can weave on. This is going to be my goal for 2022. Thanks again for giving me the inspiration.to do this. Take care and stay safe. Lots of love Jen xxxx 💖 ❤ 🎄🎄🎑💕🤶
Beautiful! I really must get my loom out....bought in 2014, used once for a practice piece! Looks like the fibre prep and spin took far longer than the weave which is always the case and not always appreciated unless you're someone who does prep. I would be so chuffed with myself if I made your scarf.
Aww thank you so much ☺️ it was a lovely project and I definitely don’t get to work on my loom as often as I would like either. So many lovely things to do and not enough hours in the day! 🧡
Wow your scarf turned out fab 🥰 I've got cotton on the loom at the moment and am not loving it, but planning to use art batt hand spun yarns for a fun scarf next 😄
It is soft. And does have some drape but it could be better on that front I could have made changes by using a different Reed or not beating down each pick quite so hard that could have changed that
@@YarnNYarns I was quite surprised how drapey it looked on camera. I've never really thought of weaving as a flexible fabric (I've used tablets mainly to make thick sturdy garters for tudor socks! 😂) but of course you must be able to change some variables! ☺
I think all the work in splitting up the braid paid off. It looks lovely 🥰
That you so much 😃 I’m really happy with how it turned out
The effort really paid off!! 🤎🧡💛
Aww thank you so much Karen 🧡

I am very pleased with how this one turned out. Thank you 😊 it’s nice to be able to finally be able to say I’ve woven a scarf 😃

Oh I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Sounds like you have lots of fun to look forward to on your looms 😃
@@YarnNYarns Hopefully I'll have some Art Yarns to weave with.
Jope you have fun with your looms too.
Love and yarny hugs 🫂 Jen xxxx 🎄🎄🎑🎑🧑🎄
A beautiful finished result, Ange - well worth waiting for !! Julia x
Thank you so much 😊
thanks for sharing your fun experiment, Ange - your scarf is lovely and looks great on you
Thank you so much Helen. I’m so pleased with how the scarf turned out 😃
I love your scarf!! You did a great job with the gradient and I’m glad you finished it (from someone who has many UFO’s).
Thank you so much Deidre it’s always a great feeling to get something finished isn’t it. But believe me I have plenty of UFOs too 🙈🤣
It's gorgeous!!😮😍
Thank you so much 🥰🧡
Fab seeing the whole project from start to finish … beautiful x
Thank you so much Carol. I had a lot of fun with this one 😃🥰🧡
Lovely to see your process ange! I never would've guessed that braid could end up looking like that scarf!!
Hey your back 😃glad
You have cracked your scarf 🧣
Thank you Connie. Me too 😃 I think there might be a few folks in my life getting scarf gifts this year 😃🤣
So stunning! Well done Ange! X
Thank you so much Lottie 🥰 Hope you are doing well
I'm sure your shuttles are chilling with my Conte crayons.

Coincidence…I have just bought some lovely yarn from Attic Spin Dye. Absolutely gorgeous scarf!
Oh yay. Andy’s yarn is lovely. What colour did you get? 😃
@@YarnNYarns I think it was called Nanny Ogg, but I could be wrong. Lost the label as usual.
Ooh I think I have some of that in my stash too it’s either that or the Granny Weatherwax 😃
Wow! More coincidence!
Wow your scarf turned out fab 🥰 I've got cotton on the loom at the moment and am not loving it, but planning to use art batt hand spun yarns for a fun scarf next 😄
Have t tried weaving with cotton yet but it’s definitely on the list. Your art scarf sounds like it will be so much fun
@@YarnNYarns I'm really looking forward to it 😄 cotton has no give so not as enjoyable to weave, similar to knitting with it lol
Oh my gosh that yarn is gorgeous! Chain plying on the E spinner - won’t you be my neighbor? I need help.
I’d so love it if we were neighbours I think we would have so much fun 😃🧡
Your scarf came out very nicely. Did you have any issues in either warp or weft with the chain ply bumps?
Thank you so much 🥰 No issues with the chain ply bumps at all 😃
Hardly any way in the video but had to say that I think that way frequently, that something is too precious to use lol
It’s kinda odd how we feel like that isn’t it 🤷♀️
@@YarnNYarns it is lol but means we get longer to appreciate something lol
❤
🥰
How many ends did you use please, and how long did it turn out?
Is it soft/drapery to wear? 🤔
It is soft. And does have some drape but it could be better on that front I could have made changes by using a different Reed or not beating down each pick quite so hard that could have changed that
