  • We have really been enjoying RC drifting.
    When comparing our car vs others we were drifting with, we noticed a lack of power.
    For a ESC & motor swap, there are many brushless sensored choices out there - from drift-specific setups that cost approx $350, all the way down to cheaper stuff like what I was already running. We decided to hit that sweet spot in the middle and go with a Hobbywing XR10 Stock Spec, and the Bandito 10.5T motor.
    Honestly, this ESC is smarter than I am! It has a very wide range of tuning features on it. In this video, I just start to touch on what some of them do.
    If you are looking at this Hobbywing setup, or looking for more info on RC drifting, I hope this video was helpful for you. if not - I hope it was entertaining!

      The RMX2.0S really is a good platform - no doubt.

    Hi Troy
    I have xerun xr10 pro with xerun d10 motor 10.5 . Motor directions reverse/clockwise. I tried to use Bluetooth ap, and LED Program card. But some how I can’t find options to switch motor directions on both devices. Last I tried to change through my transmitter on channel 2 normal to reverse. I was able to change the motor directions but I have no power. When I full throttle seems like i was reverse. And when I press full reverse has so much power as my throttle. .
    I tried to Switch 1 of 2 wire , instead AA,BB ,CC I do AC , BB , CA . It’s run counter clockwise like I want but I loose all the boosts and turbo.
    Could you please help me.? What I did wrong. Thank you 🙏

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Carlos,
      1) for a sensored motor, you MUST keep the wiring in the correct order.
      2) after reversing the throttle inputs on the controller (normal to reverse), you need to reprogram the ESC throttle setpoints.
      After doing this, the car should run fine.

    I ordered just about the same except I got the modified rocket 8.5T motor with a gyro would it be too much for "drifting" it or Hooning it. I am building my TT02D with a carbon chassis and still AWD to drift around like Ken block.

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For an AWD car like a TT-02D, save your $$$.
      You can get away with a MUCH cheaper setup.
      Plus, you do not need a gyro at all.
      You can also get away with a cheap radio.
      Hope that helps!

    • @RoadsideRC

      2-wired means it is a brushed motor.

      For the most part, you can swap brushed motors with different brushed motors. And you can swap brushless for other brushless motors.

      30* if timing on the motor
      10* timing in both boost and turbo
      Set the startup level as low as it let's you.
      Set the exponential on your transmitter to be as soft as possible
      After you try it, you may need to gear up. That 13.5T motor will not give you as much wheel speed as a 10.5T
