Great video and nice combo...I've been running the same motor and ESC for the last few weeks...really happy with it. One thing to note, cutoff voltage when set manually is not per cell. For a 2S pack you'd probably want to be around 6.8V.
I'd recommend the xr10 stock spec over the xd10. Both have all of the same tuning options, the only downside being the xr10 is 80A instead of 100A. I highly doubt drift setup with a typical 10.5 motor are pulling anywhere near 80A. The xr10 is also alot smaller/lighter and saves you about $80.
@@Bordz_92 I've had Xr10 stock specs in both my chassis for a few months now. Not a single issue with either one. Both run over 20 degrees of turbo, neither ones gets even warm to the touch. There is zero reason to run the XD10 unless you like the look and are willing to waste $80 on the looks. Not to mention the larger footprint and more weight of the XD10.
@@DJ.1001 you might not have a single issue, but neither do I running an XD10 what you are looking at is almost 3 times the Peak/burst current limit over the StockSpec. Which won’t be noticeable to you until you are running a higher end higher output battery like a 130c LiHv battery. Your Xr10 couldn’t use that battery to its limit
pretty much all of the Hobbywing XeRun ESCs have all of the same tuning options. I have 2 XR10 stock specs in my drift cars, an XR8 Plus G2S in my drag car, and an XR8 sct in my 1/8 race buggy. They all have exactly the same turbo and boost settings.
How did the 25 degree boost timing with the 30 degree turbo timing work out for you ? Any over heating issues and are you still using those timing settings?
what is a good budget tx/rx you can recoomedn for the mst rmx?? also...do oyu see a big difference between this setup and the stock powertrain?? lmk...I have the rmx 2.0 and wanting to upgrade but only if there is a significant difference....
Very helpful video....how big of a deal is to install the MB suspension arms ? Not able to find much resource on that topic. Also do you have any experience with Acuvance motor/esc? Wonder how it would compare with Hobbywing! Thanks....please bring more how to video's on RMX MST platform.
The Mb arms i dont think its such a big deal..but it does help with more adjustibility and helps performance, althou i think you can also go with out it, regarding acuvance, i havent owned one. Although i do own the yokomo esc and motor.. which i think is great too..! I will have to get back to more drift videos 🙂 thank you for watching
Great Vid, Brother! Do you think this would work well in a no prep drag? Have a Losi kit Im about to build, and will mostly run for fun at the smoothest lots as I find them around town. Alone or with a pal...nothing competitive yet.
Thanks bro! I havent yet built a no prep drag so i dont wanna give a diffinitive answer as these kits are quite expensive to trial and not work... although with the capability of its programming and tuning it makes sense to run it in a drag car 🤔🤔🤔 set low rpm and boost up when it gets traction...
Where can I get the Bluetooth card. The thing that come in the clear case that you hook up to the motor and Bluetooth it to your phone to program. What’s it called and how can I find it I have found everything else about that and I am trying to build my RC car

Your wallet is crying in the corner. Ik mine was when I bought the same set up lol. Any reason for the lower motor position? Compared to the high position
Yeah the wallet got a bit injured 🤣🤣🤣 but it'll recover.... Eventually lol. I honestly like the motor up the top as it helps it better with body roll as the weight is up top. But i had to keep the motor at the bottom coz I have a body i use that doesnt fit with the motor up top 😊, thanks for watching, please stay tuned to the channel 👍

Flysky gt5 radio has a programmable gyro and you can set it up to the way you like it, it's a great radio and it doesn't brake the bank.
