I agree with the potential benefits of ADHD.
However, I also have ASD Level 1 which is often at odd with ADHD as it makes me very cautious with a strong need for organization.
Add to that a very early history (started age 2 through age 9) of prolonged incest in a very violent large family which created a deep fear and distrust of people.
I have a lot of panic and fear. Cant shake it. Have considered trying MDMA or psilocybin therapy.
      Your thoughts?

@waelsallak6522 It is inspiring to hear when people make a positive out of what could be negative esp after schooling & a lifetime of poor feedback. Early life experiences mould you. I read recently that autism is hyper-focus whereas adhd is hyper-distraction?

Approaching strangers without context scares me into a fight or flight state. But when I perceive an invitation, even if the other party is unaware, I confidently make the approach. The invitation could simply be a person wearing a Pink Floyd t-shirt. Since they're my favorite band, I FEEL (keyword: feel) invited to tell a stranger passing by, "nice shirt!" At big networking events or parties, if there's anything that genuinely makes me interested in approaching, I do it without hesitation. But if my inner critic says, "you should go talk to them," when no part of me feels compelled and yet I still go talk to them, I make the biggest ass of myself and feel anxious as hell while doing it.

I like hyperfocus under pressure a lot.. but the line between not enough or too much pressure is very thin and sometimes I begin my work just a bit too late to feel overwhelmed during maybe 1h.. but then I calm down and just take a piece of paper to plan carefully the time I have left. I just need to talk to myself to hear my voice and it helps to calm me down. Then with the plan I have done I can work better and the pressure is just right as it needs to be to begin my work with the good energy and hyperfocus. It is good to plan the next day in the evening before going to bed, so it helps me calm down before going to sleep.
Thanks a lot for your great content🙏🏻

    ✨ Summary:
    - ADHD leads to lower and more volatile levels of mood, motivation, and focus due to dopamine deficiency, making it easy to get sidetracked by quick dopamine hits from activities like social media and junk food.
    - Creating sustainable systems for natural dopamine, such as cold showers, exercise, and healthy foods, can improve mood, motivation, and focus over time.
    - Open communication about ADHD tendencies, like ghosting friends and loved ones, can strengthen relationships and prevent misunderstandings.
    - Introducing new activities and environments can help maintain interest and motivation, as ADHD brains are stimulated by novelty.
    - Working in sprints rather than trying to maintain a steady pace can align better with how ADHD brains function, leveraging bursts of intense focus and motivation to complete tasks efficiently.

    1. I am the opposite regarding the big picture. I get so lost in things, that I cannot pull away and have a very bad time seeing the big picture
    2. I am more likely to start a business, because I cannot see the problems coming. But then avoid doing accounting bc its very boring and get problems with IRS
    3. I don't know the answer, but I know when situations around me are safe or shady when travelling
    4. I have had a person die on my hands and I have saved a few people afterwards in life. Nobody else did anything. But I was completely focused and calm. I noticed that high stakes situations make me calm. It has a downside of wanting to get into arguments and conflicts on purpose. I think it might be the reason why jails are full of ADHD people. We act, we don't think about consequences, we are calm.
    5. Oh hyperfocus is like magic. But the problem is controlling it. Getting hyper-focused on some obscure random topic that nobody cares about is not that useful in reality.

For years and years I had bipolarity treatment which Ive ended up quiting all meds. I have a strong belief that I've been misdiagnosed. With your all insights and videos, i can tell you that my all problems (which you call them superpowers) match with your explanations. Now I have fobia to go to hospital again :( they call my impulsivity as manic episode, my lack of dopamine as depression:( I have scattered-mind and multiple projects in my hands that I struggle to manage.
Now Im gaining some hope towards life with your vids :) I can handle and embrace my differently working brain.

I was misdiagnosed as bipolar for years. It really did nothing for my ADHD with the wrong medication. Tell your doctor what you have been experiencing lately and since childhood. Mention your childhood. Maybe take a parent or relative you knew as a child, to explain your actions in childhood.

@carriestout6422, glad to know I'm not alone in thinking this! So It's true that ADHD can sometimes be mistaken for bipolar disorder. For me, it's more about managing my thoughts, attention, and projects than dealing with mood swings. Thanks a lot for your helpful insights and suggestions!

I just want to thank you for this video. I have a new career path I'm exploring which actually is very interesting but I'm not learning it fast enough which is making me avoid studying it more because I'm failing and not further ahead in it... So to further avoid the task I get on YT to watch videos and came across yours as I felt down and frustrated with my mind. But after watching your video I never thought about any of those issues as super powers! Now, I feel upbeat and ready to accept my position in the Marvel Universe 😂❤

I remember once solving a math problem by finding a pattern much quicker than my smart math teacher. I had decided to actually focus instead of doing nothing and I was very efficient doing so.

You may really have to explore that i.e. lack of sleep. For me, it helps to look for something interesting in what you study. Also, studying in bits and pieces unless you enter hyperfocus.

You're not alone. I think the majority of people with ADHD feel this way. This channel tends to over exaggerate the positive sides and ignore the dark side. To not put yourself down bc of "failures" is an important thing to do imo.

Before I get started watching the video, I wanted to "drop a bit of dopamine your way." ;) I'm 60 and I have ADHD. Omystars. My son had it and back in the 80s, teachers blamed parents and said they were bad moms. Stupid stuff like that. I always swore Robby (my son) got it from his dad. And then, I realized, I had ADHD. So many topics you discuss I think give me a bit of Dopamine bc it feels so good knowing someone else has the same damn things, lol. I'm a new sub and I want to learn more about how to get Dopamine. Thank you for your hard work making these videos. They are so helpful. And I know, it is hard work. I'm writing a book and it's horrid bc I can't get motivated. Do you have any ideas for getting motivated for writing? I'm also working on beading projects, adult coloring, making jewelry. lmao Think I might be a bit here and there and everywhere???? And lastly, the short beard on you looks sooo good. You are good looking anyway, but the beard is on pointe. Thanx again.

I like your video so much I want to give you an example ... When I play chess with higher Chess rated Players like 1900 - 2000 ratings My brain performs better comparing low chess rated players like me like 1200- 1300 ratings , people think I am cheating , YOu are right I concentrate better on opening like Sicilian OPening who requires for more creativity and hard prboblems . I am bored playing solid and low rated games and I cannot concentrate on low rated games , DO you guys feel the same thing Which I am talking about for example In university I enjoyed hardest lessons I become more succesful enjoyed though I am not super intelligent I like hard things to solve and enjoy . Like solving neuroscience problems etc.

Just to save time for some people that the webinar video is not suitable:
It's a 2-hour (or something) long video to sell an online accountability group session thing.
It might be a great thing for some, but doesn't really work in my situation.
Thank you anyway for the great channel, content and everything.
