"Scattered" WI 4- Late Season Ice Climbing FreeSolo

On March 25, 2024, I soloed "Scattered", 22m at Timbertrail, Oxtongue, Ontario. After doing a quick fixed rope lap to check the stability and safety of the ice; I pulled the rope. Initially I didn't like the sound of the ice (delaminate) and almost bailed on my plan. Once I was on the ground, fear went away, and I committed to the climb. Never had a solo that felt so in control and safe.
