Hiiii!!! I want a Tesla but what's it like in below 0 in the winter!? Does the battery die faster than usual? Those are my only things that change my mind
Hey! You will see a range decrease if it’s cold and charging will take longer. However, if you have a garage and keep the Tesla inside. It should work fine and will still be reliable. Please do more reach this is just from our experience :)
I live in Utah where it gets cold. A majority of the winter for this year was well below the 20's (F). I own a condo with no garage, so unfortunately the car is parked outside but under covered parking. The regenerative braking is effected so you won't receive much charge when you brake since they're cold. Range will vary, but I honestly haven't noticed a significant drop, especially when there's a foot of snow outside and its below freezing.
If you do supercharge, make sure to precondition your battery when you charge. Given all of that, I still love my Model Y. :)
