Makoto is actually really skilled! He has beaten up several guys at once by himself in another Social Link scene! It was really nice to see them using their combat skills from Tartarus to use in the real world!
I mean, even if at the start of the game all you could do was aimlessly swing a sword, practice makes perfect. And Makoto practices a lot. Besides, if you've unlocked the star arcana, Makoto is a friggin track star too, he's got hands and lungs to go with the best of them.
I like to think it's from all the training in Tartarus, by the time you get this scene you're pretty high leveled and its been around 8 months since Makoto moved in.
@@plvto1 I don't think it's just you thinking that. At various points in the game it's implied that the Dark Hour has the effect of making people stronger. In the first visit to Tartarus, Junpei and Yukari remark how tired and out of breath they felt, and Mitsuru says the Dark Hour will tire you out faster than normal. If this is true, then by going into Tartarus somewhat frequently, SEES members are essentially practicing low-oxygen doping with every trip. There's also the track team social link, where Miyamoto is shocked at how fast Makoto is without any practice and asks for his regimen. One of the replies is a cheeky "a very special one", which implies the Tartarus trips. Granted, Miyamoto's social link in particular is a bit inconsistent, since at one point they refer to Makoto as the team's ace but during the summer practice sessions you slowly become the fastest. Still doesn't that change at multiple points in the game the SEES members are implied to be at least (a little) superhuman.
If Akihiko's boxing machine moment is anything to go by, his strength is actually supernatural.
he canonically fights bears to train in arena
Dang Makoto got hands, i knew Akihiko would do great but my god

All SEES members have super-strength and stamina because of their persona

that “It’s legitimate self-defense” option
That HAS to be a Zenkichi reference, he beats two guys up and says the same thing
picked it SOLELY because of that fact, lol. glad someone's played p5s and not just me.
@@plvto1
Then he continues it with:
“Oohh… you really ate it there, you alright?”
Or
“Whoa, watch your step there, you alright?”
they really hit the all out attack on them
With the hands only
Love how with the pause you can tell you were laughing💀
LOL BRO IT WAS THE WAY THEY JUST COLLAPSED
They’d probably solo Goku offscreen
offscreen magic is built different
I mean Tetrakarn and marakarn alone would do the trick...
Smt verse powerscaling is absolutely monstruous.
goku is gokuversal so goku still solos any smt/persona game
@@angel-cn8wt no way this ain't satire what the hell is gokuversal
@@laravioliiii2832 havent seen the show smh
Had my friend go through this scene to which he called it a "tokyo revengers reference"
might as well be
they've been waiting for this
This reminds me of the goku and vegeta meme
LOL
*I don't like how Akihiko just shrugs it off like it was a normal part of his workout...*
The pause speaks volumes
critical heatwave type shit
They really used the Tartarus operational strength protocol on that one
First Persona i played with original voices, english dub is horrible. Akihiko sounds like hes 30yo
To be fair, he also sounds like that in JP.
not really imo@@Loispealz34
meh, i think it fits. it really isn't that jarring to me.
I'm guessing you've never met a teenager with a deep voice, somehow
I had a pretty deep voice as a teenager lol.
