I like how when she breaks down in this version, she has a bit of a tantrum, her animation has her throwing her arms, hitting her legs because she has so much anger. The reason she'd stolen the key from Aigis in the original was because Aigis hadn't shown her resolve, but in this version, Aigis is confident in her choice going into the fight, and Yukari can see that in the beginning, whereas in the original she states, "you don't know what you want to do with the key right? I haven't played the original, but I would say this version also shows it. Throughout the Journey, she gets jealous of other girls getting close to Makoto even if Makoto doesn't romance her. Of course she gets jealous that Aigis is the one that was there in his final moments and "inherits" his power. People hated this being changed? I honestly think this improves the scene since it not only makes Yukari more sympathetic, but doesn't ruin Metis in the process by not having her give forced exposition like she did before the fights.
Man no matter how many times i replay this video, it still doesn't hit that hard compared to the original. Im actually sad they removed something that made the answer an interesting dlc 😢
i don't think the problem with this scene lies in the fact that she doesn't take the key (though i think that does make it somewhat more impactful) i think the problem lies in the fact that she basically just says "so..." and then drops. on the fucking floor. i know aigis already told yukari her feelings but she wasn't tearing up or anything. they could've added a few lines to maybe not make this scene as impactful as the original, but at the very least not turn this scene into something awful
Yukari in The Answer was a great character. I'd dare say she was the best character in the game. I believed that 15 years ago, and I'll still die on that hill. The Answer had huge pacing issues in general and all characters suffered cause of it, but Yukari was great. I loved that we had someone in the party who was hostile. It always bugged me that a lot of people didn't like her in that game. Episode Aigis Yukari is a bit blander as a character. I don't understand what they were going for with these changes. I would recommend anyone who has never played this game, to play the FES version, and not this version. I would recommend FES over reload, as well. This was a disappointing remake. I regret dropping $70 on reload.

Her negative attitude in the original, made her better as it shows her human side facing with a decision that can totally change the outcome, even though it is selfish.
Yeah… unfortunately this feels like the equivalent of playing Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes after having already played the original Metal Gear Solid; the HD remake just doesn’t quite capture the magic of the original game.
Update: If that analogy didn’t work for everyone, then how about this: this is basically the equivalent of that Harry Potter Dumbledore asked calmly meme where Dumbledore asked Harry if he put his name into the Goblet of Fire in a calm and civilized manner, unlike the movie adaptation where he asks him angrily and threateningly which people see as an unwelcome change.
We men of culture who chose Mitsuru and Yukari are eating good
And crying our hearts out 😭
To this day I want a P3 The Answer movie. It's fucking baffling they adapted P3 into a movie but not The Answer
I am so glad I never got this game if THIS was how they'd reduce everyone's characters.
Her not wrestling the key from Aigis just lessened the impact of this scene damn. The only good addition was Mitsuru's lines.
I just finished that fight...
I'm so sad for them rn...
After a decade people finally have woken up to why Yukari was being very bitchy and now are complaining why she isn’t great job to everyone who actually understood the scene before and didn’t need the reload dlc to drop to understand why
I really wish they had yukari hit aigis like in the original
Honestly i like this change a lot better for Yukari.
Removes the impact
She loved that boi
Best girl
lmao that drop on the floor. Yeah, it's not terrible but the OG did it way better. Never had a problem with Yukari at all, she's the most realistic character in this game lol.
people angry at the changes in yukari's relationship acting as if up to this point everyone was badmouthing yukari and hating her
sorry
but if you hated yukari in the original the answer you have no right to complain about the changes
Dude at least make her had a hiccup or something. Not just plop her down on her knee in 0.5 sec. That just looks comical
They really made this scene worst it really removes weight and impact from yukaris character
wow como hacen para que no le caiga hate a yuka, impresionante atlus
People hated this being changed? I honestly think this improves the scene since it not only makes Yukari more sympathetic, but doesn't ruin Metis in the process by not having her give forced exposition like she did before the fights.
True
Best scene in episode Aigis... IT'S SO PEAKKKKKKKK MY HEARTTTT 😭
Man no matter how many times i replay this video, it still doesn't hit that hard compared to the original. Im actually sad they removed something that made the answer an interesting dlc 😢
i don't think the problem with this scene lies in the fact that she doesn't take the key (though i think that does make it somewhat more impactful)
i think the problem lies in the fact that she basically just says "so..." and then drops. on the fucking floor. i know aigis already told yukari her feelings but she wasn't tearing up or anything. they could've added a few lines to maybe not make this scene as impactful as the original, but at the very least not turn this scene into something awful
The best video game I have ever seen with the worst, dumbest and most amateur ending I have ever seen. Perfectly balanced.
They remove the Gimme that Key that TBH very cringed.
Who is she talking about
😢
Someone better put this voice over the original scene. It just felt empty here
Defeated Yukari with the power of love 😘
Better this version, the words of mitsuru
Atlus should fix this cutscene and just bring back the original ASAP
Not that this scene is bad, but a lot is removed by her just not trying to get the key. Curse you for cowarding to those critics that knew nothing of how unpredictable the human heart is.
Wow y'all people are being petty over this, huh? First no female version, now changes in this version compared to the old version geez you guys are stubborn as hell 😅
It is not pettiness. It was more powerful before because Yukari had a personality.
FES is just a better version of this game, and is a lot cheaper. So, I think the criticisms are valid.
@@anewfutureI know people are going to attack you for this take but just know that I'm with you and that I'm your shield, get behind me 🛡️
I feel like I’m the only one that doesn’t mind them removing the scene where she tries to rip the key away from Aigis
@@genericname4168 As an og enjoyer watching it not happen was so incredibly jarring when I just see her unceremoniously drop to her knees. Not only does it feel unnatural to me but the impact is lessened a lot, I'm a person who LOVES flawed characters overcome their flaws in media. Yukari trying to snatch Aigis' key to Metis telling her that there is no point to having Yukari then slowly drop down in tears felt like she was defeated in every sense of the word. Here the scene feels like it's going off the script of a poorly acted play or something...
yall do know they cant have a remake 1 to 1 with the original right💀
They can, Tomb Raider 1 did it, in fact, those kind of decision is rarer by comparison cause the devs aren't stuck up overcrowded workers with ass wipe of a CEO
