First off great job this brings back a lot of childhood memories for me. The one thing I would say is you probably need a set of Rings or a piston because you can hear the ring noise when you let off the throttle. As evidenced by the ring noise when you let off the throttle. Otherwise wonderful job on the restoration
You deserve that Elsinore 250 road bike , 2 stroke of course but I'm a bit envious. I had the cr 125 1973 model back when I was a kid. Still my favourite bike. Have a KTM 390 Duke now which is a great city suburb bike 2021 model. Am prepared to do a swap with you as soon as possible. ( Just kidding of course).
That is awesome GG!. Sounds sweet, and goes really good as well, the fine tuning can easily be done with the Gunson tool that I mentioned earlier.. You can take use of it in all your projects.. Thanks for your wonderful entertaining series with this bike,. Been smiling a lot from your MT project, you've come a long way, and feel so happy on your behalf!.. That last frames, scenery, sun, bike,.. Perfect! Thanks! 👏😃
Lookin good and running much better! Maybe try the original jet size though and see what ya get. I'm finishing up a '76 XL175 right now myself. Until the next one.
Saw you using incorrect hand signals for turning. Left hand up is the correct Right-Turn Signal. Left hand out is Left-Turn. Left hand down is braking. Stay safe.
can you please make a video riding the MT250 on a camping adventure or something fun so we can see what your states like as well as the bike on trails? I'm from Tasmania so its interesting seeing the different landscapes and lifestyles

I like it but don’t expect to have a rocket ship. They are very de-tuned bikes. If you want a performer, drop a CR cylinder on it from the same year with a bigger carb. It will be a lot peppier then. They convert right over.
Please, please, please put a CR250 barrel and carbie on it. You'll love the extra horsepower. It's what Honda should have done from the start with the MT bikes. They messed up the MR 175 with a gutless engine as well.
I was cringing when you were splitting the cases. try to keep the gap even. The angle of the cases as you were pulling it apart was really angled. Thats a good way to break cases using a puller. Same when reinstalling. Use a dead blow mallet or hammer, keep the cases parallel and do it slowly. This tip comes from a factory honda mechanic.
Hi there GG, i was wondering when you would get the ugga dugga out, impact driver lol 😝. She’s certainly a stunning looking motorcycle man. But I’m a Suzuki man meself.
That sweet two-stroke sound brought me right back to 1981 and my Yamaha DT50. Good times.
nice job! hopefully i'll be able to make mine as nice as yours when i get to it soon.

Honestly, the MT(125 and 250) were turds off the showroom floor. It's hard to think you did not replace all 48 year old seals first time around. Nice.
Nice mechanic work brother
So happy to finally see her in the woods and off the damn road, great job !!

Awesome video!!!
So freaking happy for you! Awesome job.
a lot of work been done to get here
The bike looks amazing, you should be proud of what you've done. Can't wait for the next video. :)
Congratulations gg. Nice running unit you have there!
Was waiting for this! I have an MR250 that has been an ongoing project for a while now; fun to watch you rescue this thing
If you didn't have those knobs on it it would reach 60 a good bit quicker I would think. Really enjoyed seeing my favourite era of Elsinors . Thanks.

One of the most beautiful hondas!! Also one of the slowest. Awesome restoration man!
Good job! Your best work so far!
Love it! did a great job. Love watching the progress. Great bike
Really nice work from what it started as…
Lookin good and running much better! Maybe try the original jet size though and see what ya get. I'm finishing up a '76 XL175 right now myself. Until the next one.
The TH-cam channel a motorcycle nut has a great way of checking your ignition timing and getting it dead on he does it on a MR 250
Its a good feeling to restore a bike and work out the bugs, till it finally runs flawlessly...I know I've done a couple...
Well done, a great effort.
You drilled out your jets in one of the other videos right? That’s probably your rich condition there, stock is much easier to tune
Same think 👍
What he said^^^
completely agree
Ya no reason to drill stock ones unless ported and chambered
Thats a 4Sure KuDoS✌
💔🇺🇸
No gear to protect yourself and you’re speeding. Noice

Top speed is not a thing with this bike
but I love it 💣
Awesome video, thanks for the free content!

A lot of two stroke bikes don't like pod filters you will probably find that it won't be perfect unless u put the factory airbox and filter back on
4Sure & most 4strokes also✌
💔🇺🇸
Looks and sounds great!!

Agreed. I did that to my MT 125 and people stopped laughing as I left them choking in my smoke.
Have you rechecked your plug too much oil it might be fouled some

Really sweet , except that pod filter, they don't belong on dirt bikes
Def looks and sounds faster. I'd say it needs to lean out some more, do a plug check.

Is there an air filter in it?
Use OEM if possible.
Try a lower main jet.
Nice bike!
What’s going on with your front brake cable? Seems way too long.
Does the CR series have more HP than the MT's?
Yeah the CR model was designed for racing so it has more power and revs faster. The Mt is just a sluggish, heavier dual sport bike.
Mason the bike looks amazing, but please for the love of god flip the front fender around.
It's exactly the way it's supposed to be from the factory. Rubber mud flap on the front.
it sounded way too rich from the beginning
Hi there GG, i was wondering when you would get the ugga dugga out, impact driver lol 😝. She’s certainly a stunning looking motorcycle man. But I’m a Suzuki man meself.
Air screw all the way in, then 1 & 1/4 turns out,
Bingo
your front fender is on the wrong way?
If you look at some other mt250's you'll see it's correct.
yes it is :D
No, it's not.
@@louisavondart9178 Do your homework, the honda factory illustrations show the mudflap at the front.
