Well despite being a game more associated with dumb memes and kids nowdays it was slowly crafted by valve at its highest and by 9 years in development That's why the launch art style and animations are so good
@@kR-qj7rw To be fair the version of TF2 we ended up getting was conceived in the last stage of those 9 years, starting around 2005 or 2006, when they switched their scope to remaking TFC onto this new 20th century Americana style
I’d assume these are just feed chutes (basically a protective sleeve that makes sure the belt is fed more reliably into the gun) and the actual bullets are pushed by an electric motor in the body through it and into the guns, which then pull the belt in as they fire like a normal machine gun. Such an inexcusably overcomplicated system would seem right at home in Mann Co, if not almost every fictional company that produces these implausible firearms and other such battle implements that we see in these not-modern-setting games. Edit: …AND ANOTHER THING! There is no reason to have one, let alone two, M134 miniguns on such a small automate defense platform. The fire rate on their real-life counterpart can be adjusted, but at their lowest they can fire at a combined 4,000 RPM. This would burn through the entire ammo supply in under a second, even if we assume it holds more rounds than in-game. In addition, the optional use of a quadruple rocket launcher that fired its entire payload all at once is another entirely unnecessary addition to this already over-engineered mess of an “””upgrade””” considering whatever would need such a payload would have already been vaporized by the hail of lead unleashed from the aforementioned twin miniguns, making it beyond just useless, to the point of being an arbitrary waste of ammunition and materials.
The fact that the ammo dispenser can essentially fit the stand for the sentry, the gun itself, 4 rocket launchers, and infinity ammo definitely makes me think the engineer is using some of the teleportation technology
The upgrading would be impossible since you can literally see all the upgrade parts pop out of the body from nowhere, but the level 1 design is actually quite practical and possible, with ample room in the drum-shaped body to store ammo, space in the black box in front to fit a firing mechanism, and it could be assumed that the computer controlling all this is sandwiched in between the front and back components. At least, that’s my observation.
Im plaing on makeing one that actualy works upgradeing and shooting bbs, paint balls and hopefully bullets someday I already have blue prints in my head( i cant make a physical copy since i cant draw worth crud) this will definitely help thank you
the amount of detail put into this is uncanny

The level 2 animation ammo belts is really impressive.
AND AT THE SAME EXACT TIME, VALVE RELEASED 3 OTHER VIDEOGAMES, ONE OF WHICH WAS PORTAL THE PORTAL MECHANIC OF WHICH WAS VERY HARD TO WORK OUT!

great, now it's at teleporter speed.
The sentry is the fastest building building, and it is still super slow
Hit it with a wrench to force it to build faster
why is this being recommended lol

Odk lol maybe tf2 isn't dying
no idea
idk but i looked this up
Yes
I like how the ammo comes OUT of the guns into the body for the level 2.

What the red spy last sees: 0:50
the f2p engineer watching his sentry build (he doesnt know he can hit it to speed up the building time yet)
I like that it keeps getting legs in order to support the heavier weight
Why am i watching this when i could actually be building sentry, dispenser, and teleporter.

man tf2 animations have a lot of detail

Fun fact: The Engineer’s buildings’ animations were inspired by the likes of Command and Conquer: Red Alert.
This is actually how a senty would probably build in real life.
The fact that the ammo dispenser can essentially fit the stand for the sentry, the gun itself, 4 rocket launchers, and infinity ammo definitely makes me think the engineer is using some of the teleportation technology
Is it just me or do you want all military funding to go to building a real working sentry
Ain't that a cute little gun?

damn it. There are too many details in the animation that we don't even see in a normal game!

0:51 POV: You're a Scout that just entered the Intel room
how tf did engineer manage to cram 2 Gatling guns, a quad rocket launcher plus a lot of ammo for the sentry
All in 1 toolbox
Nothing short of black magic could achieve this.
What makes this even more plausible is that magic does exist in the TF2niverse.
This is how it feels to use the Eureka Effect after using the Jag
This is useful knowledge, as such I will apply all I have learned in my life.
