Thanks. I'm not playing the game at the moment but I'll probably end up getting back to it sooner or later. There are still some parts I could improve a lot.
Nice run. Learned very much from watching your videos. I remember when this game came out, everyone hated it because they said it was too easy. Well, this "easy" game still kicks my butt every time I play it. Power style is very challenging… and the 2nd loop is cave-level hard. Scoring system is also one of the best I've seen so far. By the way (I'm asking this question everywhere, because nobody seems to know it), do bosses have longer timeout-phases during the second loop? On some replays of the second loop they still get milked when they already timed out for me during the first loop. Keep up the good work. :)
Thanks for the reply. :) The more I think about it, the more I guess it could have to do with slowdown. Maybe it affects the boss timer as well. On my practise runs, I tried dodging as much as I could without shooting back. So there is no slowdown.
@@Eichhoernchenschreck I believe that the timer doesn't change, I have tested it (only on Ray'n second phase though, her timeout in the first loop and second loop are the same). There's a fun fact in the game, if you take the Ura route instead of the Omote route, the midbosses and bosses will have their speed doubled if you use a Hyper (performing their patterns twice as fast, and shoot out bullet twice as fast), but in the Ura loop they won't receive the speed boost anymore when you use Hyper for some reason. This means that the bosses/midbosses in the Omote route won't get any speed boost no matter if it's the first of second loop, while the bosses/midbosses in the Ura first loop will get the speed boost upon activating Hyper. Oh, and people say they hated the game because it's easy, yes, it's easier to clear the first loop than the other Dodonpachi games due to Hypers and Autobombs. But when it comes to scoring, chaining, and get through the second loop is an entirely different matter. (Also I bet most of them never use Bomb Style or Power Style to get through the second loop)
18:19 for laser wheel strats
Watching the hit counter skyrocket @ 3:40 is so satifying to watch.

Watching this just reminded me how much of a difference Black Label did on this game. Nice run thought~!
Black Label is insane on so many levels (the good type of insane)
Awesome run! 1.5 is so fun!!
this looks like a great shooter
One of the best. In fact all shooters made by Cave are iconic.
Welp just noticed that most of the songs in this game are remixes or contain sections from older DDP songs.

Sorry, no idea. Sounds possible though since there are many subtle changes in the loops.
