I am so inspired to return to my place of birth and sample some of these amazing new dining experiences. I left Sri Lanka (Ceylon) for the UK, back in 1965 and have never been back! God willing I would like to return in 2025 (that's 60 years having been away). I will arm myself with more of your amazing presentations and be well prepared. Thanks for the winsome way in which you make Sri Lanka so good Shen!
Hey Shenelle. When you do any reviews can you please highlight areas that are wheelchair accessible because I have a son in a wheelchair and would love to visit Sri Lanka with him to enjoy the country, the people, the culture, the food- but it is really difficult to know what is wheelchair accessible. I know lots of people around the world who are wheelchair users and would love to come to Sri Lanka, but are nervous because there is not alot of information available about accessiblity.
Hi Sheneller and Shehan Thanks for bringing this up. It is really useful and informative not only to foreigners but also to local who has been away from Sri Lanka for years. Thanks again.
Here in SL for a week on vacation from Bangladesh. Spending 6 days in Colombo (and one in Weligama). Already covered six of these cafes in the last three. Will cover the the other 2 (T-lounge and Kiku) in the rest of my trip. Amazing, chill places!
You have touched on most place that we as tourists will have time for and since we will in colombo for 3 days o have begun to take notes and chose what we would like to try and visit. Thank you for making this easy or else we would have fallen short and missed all of this interesting place. Thank you Tony from Goa We are there from the 5th of March
As an expat Sri Lankan vlogger I found your channel recently and was impressed and excited to see your vlogs... this one especially as I LOVE to go out to eat... Thank you and keep it up!
So informative, so well-filmed, so helpful. Thank you so much, Shanelle [sp?]. You are a beautiful person -- love your energy, integrity, kindness. I'm moving to Colombo in April, never been, and this kind of information is priceless.

I just subscribed to your channel, having seen this and the street food video. Live in Britain but SL has been a dream destination for me for a long time. Such a beautiful country with a rich and vibrant culture. Your videos are so detailed and insightful! Commons looks like the kind of place I'd hang out at 😁
You are very good, we came across you doing a review on the heritance resort where we will be staying in April. You have help us so much in demystifying what we can expect on our holiday, thankyou we are looking forward to sri lanka
Top content and thanks. Got a house there and I never knew any of these locations. I will visit a few of these in couple months. Subbed. So appreciated. Thank you. Go on, do more videos. 🙂
Great video and picks! I agree with all the choices except 'The Commons.' Personally, I'd replace it with Grind Colombo, Butter Boutique, Kaffi, or Life's Good Kitchen. Any of these would be a better fit. Awesome work on the video, keep it up!
Hi there, loved watching this , great reviews! Will check out few of these places on my next visit to Srilanka. You are doing a fabulous job promoting every Srilanka has to offer! Thank you!!🤗
Amazing video and looking forward to trying some of these places. It would be great to see what options Colombo has for gluten free and dairy free food if possible please.
Such a great duo 🥳 great video. It feels like we went with y’all. Keep it up, guys. Sri Lankan needs this type of awareness. Your presentation is really in the first place akki & great cinematic video contribution from Aiya. Good luck. I really enjoyed this a lot ❤️🫡
Something different for a change from the normal stereotyped videos about eateries in Colombo. The clip is very exciting and informative. I will definitely visit one of them when in Colombo. Thank you.
As a traveller from India I would have liked if you had said some more about the prices. A tip on which dish is spicy and which is not would be helpful. On the whole I enjoyed your video and the top ten places to eat.
Very interesting vlog for sure. You explain everything so well. Your vocabulary is amazing! Would love to meet you one day in person! Keep on shining ❤
Good review and a good idea. However please give a chance to small businesses NOT owned by rich people and by politicians. Of course while ensuring they pass the quality check for food , service etc
How about The Gallery Café - unique in its Goeffrey Bawa former office amazing settings The Cricket Club - home to one of the pioneer in Sri Lankan coffee Ruby Harvest and to the best Pavlova in Sri Lanka so far...
This is great. Well done and got a good idea about the options available. So many places we did not know about. Can you also do something like this for Mount Lavinia area. There are several good places and the beach we should introduce. Thanks for helping to educate the world!
Another cool video. I really like these kind of videos, even the previous one Street food in Colombo. Found this channel through Jonny F.D.channel. He is not in Sri Lanka anymore so please give some videos with same kind of vibe .
