Nelum Kole Restaurant - To begin the day we started off at Nelum Kole Restaurant, a Sri Lankan food restaurant serving a massive buffet of different Sri Lankan food dishes. Overall, the food was good, but not the best Sri Lankan food I had. Flavors tasted too similar to each other. It is a good place to taste variety though.
Dilmah Tea Lounge - After lunch we headed to a Dilmah Tea Lounge and drank a few teas all of which were very good.
Ministry of Crab - Rated as one of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, Ministry of Crab is one of the most iconic restaurant serving seafood and especially Sri Lankan crabs in Colombo. It’s a high end restaurant, with prices that go with it, but I do have to admit that it was extremely tasty. The river shrimp, the black pepper crab was delicious. Price - about 30,000 LKR ($165.53) per OMG crab - I think it’s overpriced - but it is good.

Disagree here as more and more his Vlogs ends up in high end expensive places not for the average tourist or locals. Who would pay a ridiculous $165 for a dish of ordinary crab.

@King Ligerolf I went there for a whole month for a volunteering program in orphanages amongst a few other things such as teaching but I also did get the chance to travel on my weekends and on my free time. I was staying in ambalangoda but I did go to other area by train, tuk tuk or a bus service that we were provided (by paying obviously) in order to go to further destinations

I love this! I’m in bed watching this during the pandemic, UK lockdown 3.0, reminiscing my time in Sri Lanka from two years ago 😭. I lived with homestay family for a few months and it was truly amazing but These travel videos of Sri Lanka is giving me bittersweet feelings! Hoping I can visit again soon. I used to work at MoC when I was trying to peruse a career in cooking. It’s good to see most of the people I worked with are still there and I can see couple of kitchen assistants has made it into the kitchen as well. They have so much passion in serving good food and its a great place to fine dine with other options apart from crab. Been in Australia for 6 year and hoping to go their when I get back.

I have checked the ticket to Kuala Lumpur to Colombo during September but the tickets are very expensive and I want to visit Sri Lanka so badly and try all those amazing food Mark has tired. I enjoy watching you and even introduce your contents to my family and they love the show and you even inspired me to pick the camera a create my own food show. You, the food rangers and Sonny are really killing it.
For some reason I like it when he says he’s hopes we’re having a good day at the beginning. It actually makes me feel better, and it seems genuine. Kindness is rare these days. Thank you Mark.
