  • Hatching eggs in an incubator can be so much fun and can be very rewarding!... making the incubator that hatches those eggs will make it even more rewarding!
I took a broken drinks fridge and will convert it into an incubator to hatch chicken, duck and quail eggs... the expense of doing this is minimal and can be done for as little as around £30!

    Hey Ben 🖐
I took apart a fridge in my first effort to turn one into a steamer for all the beeswax. They are made in such a way, to make them impossible to put back together again. We just drilled through the side and filled in the gaps in the end.
If you don't like cables, have a look at some of the PC cable management stuff. Hides everything 👍
Off to watch part 2 😁

Hi, the temperature controller that cuts the light bulbs on and off is called “Inkbird”
      www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Inkbird-Digital-Temperature-Controller-2-Relay-Output-Room-Thermostat-220V-Heat-/222009063678?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
And the smart controller that sends an alarm to my phone or the house if the temp drops or spikes is done with a “Sonoff TH10 smart controller with temp and humidity sensor.

Sorry for late reply yeah the main parts y out
Need are 2 cheap light bulb fittings (one is enough but have 2 as a fail safe)… can pick them up from hardware shop.. Wilko b and q ets really cheap… few meters of 2 core cable. The main temperature controller I used is the ink bird ITC 1000 ( Amazon link 👉🏻 Inkbird ITC-1000 Temperature Controller Thermostat 220V Temperature with Sensor amzn.eu/d/46O5Oyw that’s all you really need to get the incubator working but I did at the sonoff th 16 ( or sonof th10) with thermometer , that way you can check temp from your phone and also set a max and minimum temp which if you connect a panel siren will give you an audible alarm if the temp dips or spikes
Th16 link 👉🏻 SONOFF TH Elite Smart Temperature and Humidity Monitoring Switch (TH16 With MS01) amzn.eu/d/8oPITq7
Not sure on a link for the panel alarm, I’ll keep looking… hope this helps.
