Hi from the UK Melinda! Thank you so much for this, I've just wasted about 12 mugs lol, it never occurred to me I just wasn't using enough tape but it makes sense. You are the only person to do a video on blurry writing, I am so grateful :-) !! It looked lovely on the paper, then once pressed - disaster. I am going to buy a ton of extra tape haha
First, I stumbled on Your channel looking for a different topic. And I’m so glade I did😁! Regardless for your comments about not speaking well you can forget that, I love your presentation❤. Making it very clear addressing the issues and solving the problem. I learned something new. Yeah, I’m very pleased found your channel👏. That said, can you help with this one common issue -heat tapes? I was searching for answers on TH-cam but stop to see what your video was about. So, here is my questions: What about heat tapes leaving yellow marks? This is common problem and not address on TH-cam. Using a Cricut Mug Press with two mugs both ended up with yellow marks from the heat tape. Also, when it came time to remove the sublimation paper (after cooling down) some of the heat tapes had melted, it was difficult to remove. Checking on Amazon for the best heat tapes many seemed good until reading some of the reviews, they too have issues with yellow marks. Any suggestions? Forgot to ask, can you provide a link for the vacuum you mention? Thanks again. Again, thanks for an awesome video. I subscribed 😎.
Awesome video! Thank you! I now used loads of tape too for the reasons you've said. I still keep getting blurry images and writing so I'll continue trying xx
Thank you for this video. I'm going through exactly what you were describing lol. I just started sublimating mugs and it's been a disaster. I can't get it perfect. Do you have any tips on covering up the ink spots near my images on the mugs. I would hate to throw them away.
You are welcome! More than likely that is not ink splatter, especially if it is blue. It’s probably lint. Hold the mug up to a lamp light and the the transfer sheet as well to blow off or wipe off any lint. If it is ink, check the settings on your printer.
Thanks for the Video. How then do you place the 15oz mug in the 3D press. Slanted or straight? Vertical the press cannot close anymore. Thanks in advance
Hello. Thank You for the video. I am praying you can help answer my question. I have the mug sublimation paper but it keeps cutting off part of my print in my print preview. It does it in Cricut and Silhouette. I have tried playing around with setting and just can't figure it out. Can you pleeeaaase tell me exactly what your setting are when you go to print yours. I would be very grateful.
Hello, I’m using the cricut mug press . I converted an epson. I’m having issues with smearing of words. Sometimes it’s not extreme jus t that the letters are not crisp enough. Do you have any recommendations. Do you wait till your mu# are completely cool before unwrapping. Thanks
Hello, so I use a sawgrass Sg500 so unfortunately I can’t say whether or not it is a setting in your Epson. When I do have issues though, I go through the maintenance options like cleaning the print nozzle, resetting the printer, things like that. I take the mug wrap off and dip in water as soon as possible. That seems to keep the words from blurring as well for me. I find the tighter the wrap, the better. Some people shrink wrap their mugs first and then press them and say that works great!
Hello! So I wrap my mugs tight and use more tape than normal to seal in that ink. I also submerge in room temperature water quickly. I think it’s all about the tape.
So I do not shrink wrap. I do a high volume of mugs every week and that would be too time consuming. After doing this a while now and testing so many ways to do it, more tape is just cost effective for me, works best with the settings that I choose and all three presses that I use for my business. I have other companies make my tumblers.

BTW I think you are great on the video. You're authentic and I can tell you really enjoy what you do. That's what's important. You're fine on video.
Thank you Melinda, for being authentic. I appreciate your video. :) It totally helped!
My pleasure!
Great tip, Melinda. I'll try that tomorrow. Thank you
Thank you! I'm going to try that way. My black backgrounds are very bad. By the way... I love the design of your t-shirt!
Awesome! Thank you!
Hi Melinda when I use the sublimation paper it makes some vertical lines on the side so I try to make some zigzag when cutting the side

We do our mugs just like yours. You’re not being ridiculous.
You make Mugssss! That's amazing. I may need some mugs in the future. Thank you for sharing. Very imformative.

Hey! Sorry it for the delayed response. What type of printer are you using? I have an SG500. I know that the setting are definitely ridiculous.

I learned something new today thank you
I love your channel you’re so unique. Thanks
Can u tell me why I got tape marks on a mug? And can they be taken off?
I'm having the same issue 😑
@@arshizakaria9379 I switched tapes. I only use clear now. And no issues.
@@janetallen4070 do you mind to tell me the name of clear tape you`re using now?
Can you share the link to the template tutorial?
Thank you for sharing this!
this is really something interesting
Love this!
Great video
I am getting black line , seems to be where the tape it . I'm using cricut tape . Please help
My picture is coming out blurry after I sublimate it any suggestions ?

@@MelindaCaldwellOnline thanks so much for replying I’ll try 100x more tape 💕😂
My yellow tape keeps leaving lines on my cup but the print is perfect. It’s driving me crazy!
That is so frustrating! What brand of tape are you using?
Mine was doing the same thing. Now, I only use the blue tape by Cricut. No more yellow lines.
Use vinegar
You are not ridiculous!!! 😂
I fail to understand why you arr having such problems. I use 2 pieces of tape then apply shrink wrap and tumblers and mugs turn out perfectly

@@MelindaCaldwellOnline dont see wht shrink wrap would take longer than all that taping but won't argue with you. Best of luck in the future
