The sonic screen was made on how goofy the Japanese/European Final Boss Battle Music was with the text translating to "Fun Is Infinite -Majin" when it got to America since they have different last boss battle song they got the rather more disturbing side of it than the fun and jokes.

I'm not sure whether you know this or not, but the sonic shaped figures are sonic with some sega employee's face (i'm not sure what the name of the sega employee is) and the easter egg was not meant to be scary, but comes off as scary due to the us soundtrack having eerie boss fight music. The japanese and european versions of cd have really funky boss fight music, so it's not as scary lol.

Another fun fact about the sound test menu: if you input the numbers; 07 07, you can play a secret special stage where you play as tails (with Dr Eggman on the background for some odd reason)
In the japanese releases of the " Fun is Infinite " / " Majin Sonic " easter egg, the music is alot more light-hearted and is taken more jokingly as oppose to its international release counterpart.

One thing you didn't mention about the sky valley he'll trees is how big they are when you sus out their proportions due to how far from you they are. They are enormous.

Majin is usually written in a different writing system than the one used in the signature
So that's why Majin sonic was created at fnf

Another thing in mario 3d land is the ufo thing in the first world. When you use the binoculars and look at the sky and wait, a ufo will appear for some reason. It's kinda creepy, even though happy music is playing in the background because of the level

No, it wasn't, let me sum it up for you:
Majin, as you know, meant the Devil in Japanese. But, the creator of the screen's/landscape designer for Sonic CD's nickname was Madin, spelling out all the same letters. The creepy music was just the United States boss theme. Not as well known, was that the Sonic pictures were actually Madin's cartoonified version of himself that he created. Some say it was a mix of Sonic and Mario because at the time (and still now!), they were the biggest rivals in all of gaming. This screen wasn't meant to be creepy, but it certainly could have been delivered better.

The littlebigplanet image has been found out to be an old leftover from a promotional newsletter about littlebigplanet back in 2007 (probably) and in one of the levels showcased in that newsletter was some sort of horror mansion that had 3 statue as the beginning which was the character from the image just copy and pasted.
The Sonic CD one wasn’t supposed to be creepy, what makes it creepy is the American soundtrack.

I love how they kind of hinted at the sonic cd test screen having lore significance with the little phrase on the cover of Sonic Mania, and the main villain of Sonic Forces literally being named Infinite. The Majin sonic screen was supposed to have really upbeat music like in the original version, but the people that made the English sonic CD thought the music was supposed to be creepy, so they made it creepy.

I didn’t expect Crossfire to have a hidden Easter Egg. I’ve been playing it for years.
There is an arcade game created for the Bally Sente hardware called "Mini Golf" that has dip switch settings that display an image of two missing real life children with red text asking for their whereabouts under it with their names, one of which that supposedly was never found.
That's gotta be the scariest thing I've ever seen in a video game, as it's something that literally happened in real life to real children.
There's also the third Tamagotchi game on the Gameboy, which removed the ability for your Tamagotchi to die through old age, but kept in the ability to have your Tamagotchi die through abandonment.
The scary and disturbing thing about all of this is pretty much all of the elements put together. In the first two games, if your Tamagotchi died, regardless of old age or abandonment, there would be death music, albeit melancholic, and you would see your Tamagotchi pass on to the next life.
There were crosses in the Japanese version, but this was censored out when it came to the US.
In the third game, if your Tamagotchi dies from abandonment, the game takes no time at all to make you feel like garbage for it, much like abandoning a real pet.
The game depicts a dark moonlit night with a cross and what essentially is the corpse of your dead Tamagotchi, next to it, showing that you were too selfish or didn't care enough to even bury it in the game's eyes, along with what is considered this most chilling and horrifying piece of 8 bit music that has been in any Gameboy game ever, to the point where it makes Lavender Town look like child's play in comparison, it's essentially an 8 bit funeral song
. All while this is going on, the game shows the faces of your dead Tamagotchi one happy, one sad, and one in pain.
If that's not horrifying then I don't know what is.
