    Great talk. Fear is the key. Lean into it. Smile at it. Like the Wizard in the ‘wizard of oz’ film, pull back the curtain, there no monster there! Fear creates false alarms / starts fires 🔥 in the brain. They are all false. Be brave. Live our life. Being kind and helping others also is transformative. As spoken about managing stress and feeling our emotions. Be angry, cry and talk about what’s upsetting you. It’s normal and healthy. Walking meditation is good too. Thich Nhat Hanh - Be in the ‘now’ the ‘present moment’ 🙏🏾👌🏾

    I could really relate to the anxious thinking. Always preemptively thinking about the next “danger”

    I haven't watched this yet, but just want to recommend Jim's coaching, both one-on-one and weekly group to anyone who is struggling with this stuff. He is really quite brilliant and probably the most well-informed and integrated of all the people out there who are offering this kind of help (and I've tried everything). I have had considerable progress from his work, after knowing about this approach for a long time, and feeling like I was on a bit of a plateau. Now I'm crushing it. Thanks, Jim, Love Katie x

    That's right, I overcame the back pain,shoulder and palvic pain... then the brain triggered the leg pain that I had broken 15 years ago. Unbelievable what an anxious mind can do, just keep going you're fine 😊

      Yes, exactly. I see the same thing over and over anxiety looks for a place for the anxiety to attach to.

    Thank you Josh: 37:00 "You can be in a bad place very close to the time you get better". I"m kind of where you were, several years of this, even knowing 100% that it is TMS but not being able to move the needle very much. Your advice seems like basically just live your life normally and know you are fine, and some day things will click.

    This is a great success story. I am in the midst of anxiety making my life hard, would love to have some sessions with you, but you've only got 11pm times here in the UK available. A real shame, but I've been here before and I want to get better again!

    Josh, when you were walking hunched over did you eventually use a walking stick or crutches to keep upright until you didn’t need them or did you just push through with that sort of help. I was trying to visual you doing golf when hunched over.

    Does he had stiff person syndrome 😮 ? Or muscle stiffness , this isn’t clear to me .

    • @thepainpt
      @thepainpt  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Neither. That’s a diagnosis. Josh brain was creating the stiffness in the back. He was literally hunched forward stiff when he walked the brain was protecting him in this way
