Jimmie - Hey clean your room!
William - Not right now, I'm on iracing!
Jimmie - Excuse me?
William - Just one more lap!
Jimmie - I will get Jeff back to drive your car if you don't clean your room right now, and he will not be happy!

@@Phoenx77 OMG I forgot about this comment!
Can I make a comic out of this?😂
I love iRacing. Best NASCAR sim racing there is. And it's no wonder because the guys who started up iRacing are the same ones who worked for Sierra and Papyrus back in the early 2000s with their sims like Nascar 4, Nascar 2002 and 2003 seasons, etc. Those were the original "sims" but iRacing just took it a giant step further. I remember when I started sim racing when I was about 15 years old with Nascar 4 by Papyrus. I remember hanging out in the lobbies(chat rooms) with all the other racers waiting for races to start, watching the live race on Sundays while chatting about it in those lobbies, league racing, rivalries, it was an awesome experience as a teenager who was into stock car racing.
I eventually found out about iRacing years later, long after it had been available, and I remember being so fascinated by it because I knew right away it was like those old Papyrus games but on steroids and much improved. For a long time I didn't think anyone was gonna come out and build a NASCAR SIM again. There were games on the market like the HEAT series but those were entirely different and couldn't hold a candle to actual sim racing.
Great story! I be sure to keep an eye on this kid!

Forgot to mention Your University who sponsored your career
Because he was that good
And this ladies and gentlemen is your 2024 Daytona 500 winner 🤑
Great story but without funding, you are nowhere, nobody, just a wannabe, even if you are the biggest talent in the world. Hard cold cash is what most talent hold back of become the new stars and that is just something which never gets mentioned. In the end, the bills need to be paid.
So yea, simracing was the spark but money was to fuel to keep it burning.
very expensive spor
Its cheaper. Wreck a car in real life, you get set back. Wreck a car in a sim, reset and go back.
Ofcourse but an irrelevant reply. Crashing and damages are calculated into budgets or cars are insured.
It is about that not simracing or whatever made him go racing, but cold hard cash.
Because 15 dollars is more than thousands per car. Cool.
Truth.
How come you guys don't sponsor him...
Just started iracing and I’m in love I can’t stay off of it
Its hard and demanding but a blast
Wow i didn’t know that about him
Iracing...
GET THIS MAN A SPONSORSHIP!
Song?
I feel like so far I have a similar story to William because I am not even a teen and have been on the sim since December I have quickly adapted to it and I should be going to C Class by the end of this (iRacing)season witch is one of the little things that build up and has had iRacing Change the racing world as we know it
*WHO’S RACING CAREER STARTED ON A COMPUTER*
I respect this kid
I REALLY want to start iracing. I've been playing forza motorsport, but I don't have a wheel. Then if I could get a wheel, i could play iracing.
Nicholas Johnson Trustmaster T150, Class A license less than 2 months. Don't need 1500 dollar setups.
You dont need a wheel.
iRacing is cool but you should give RaceRoom Racing Experience and Assetto Corsa on a PC you would love it......it's a lot of fun. When it comes to iRacing, it can difficult or easy for beginners it depends on the individual, good luck and welcome to sim racing. Just a added note play games on PC and Xbox.
Just sign up, head to the forums and I'm sure you'll find a cheap wheel/pedals. Great community, in fact some people even give away old wheels or parts. I've been using a G27 for years now, driving Aussie V8 Supercars. It's not perfect or the best, but more than enough to race, and pretty cheap these days.
iRacing is awesome too btw (imo), if you can budget for the subscription fees. That's easy too, cos people generally have $10-15/mth on hand, rather than $80 for a full game purchase. Good luck
ARE WE SECRET TWINS OR SOMETHING WE ARE THE SAME MABUDAH
From gamer to racer
Thats not really the same car though. Chase rebranded the 24 car to the 9 car. The 24 now is just the old 5 car group.
(7 year member)I always have a hard time with people that trash talk iRacing.iracing can be a tool it really is no different than John Force using a tree button in his motor home.Is iRacing exactly like being in a real race car that question is ignorant of course not.Is it getting close, it sure is.People tend to forget that not long ago everyone had flip phones.Sim racing is only going to get closer to the real thing it is only a matter of time.Matter of fact they probably are much closer already although iRacing has a challenge ahead of them. How do you balance real to life, and drivable for many.Just like in real life it cost money to race, but it cost money to employe many people for R&D.So if you make it too difficult for people they will cancel their membership(some i wish they would). That does not help a budget when you are trying to send people out to laser scan a new track.Something many don't know i seen a clip awhile back where iRacing was having to spend over $200,000 annually just for security against hacking. So to the old school guys that have a local track type car in the garage that always dismiss iRacing (i am 48 years old)don't cry when you have some young guy pass you on the track.Because one thing that you absolutely gain in iRacing is racing experience with other real life drivers.Something that in the real world is extremely limited to basically 1 race a week if your lucky. Also iRacing with no doubt was a key factor in getting my novice solo sticker on my second out for a track day weekend at Barber Motorsports Park.My track awareness gave my instructor the confidence in me to set me loose with other cars were there was passing with restrictions only in the straits.
0:06 Smith : " It seems that you've been living two lives... One of these lives has a future Mr " William Byron
i think there should be an "ignore" button also. if you have small contact and get a 4X both cars should be able to press ignore and remove the 4x from both drivers.
Now Daytona 500 champ!!!!
The season is half way and we still don’t have the ZL1...I’m tired racing of the SS
Cesaar coming next build
Look at the next updates. We are getting, the zl1, A new michigan and more
You need to be patient when a new *real* car comes out. iRacing needs to go through an extensive process just to get the license to use the car, and to go out and scan/record the car.
Tkdriverx well the Indycar IR-18 was out before the Indy season started...
Cesaar Because NASCAR is harder to get liscensing for and acess to. Indycar let iRacing graph and and build the car way before it was a thing in real life
I would love to have Iracing but I don’t have the $$$
So a kid gets an indefinite ban because he's a complete tool bag on the service gets a whole segment about him and iRacing. Jeez, next I bet your gonna tell me Scott Speed is gonna be unbanned to race in a pro series, oh wait.
speedyjr update me on how he was a tool bag on the service? What happened? I’ve raced him three times on iracing and he raced completely clean and I got to talk to him one of the races and he was very respectful imo. Scott Speed on the other hand, I’ve seen that dude wreck someone in a practice session for passing him.
Byron is a Scott Speed. If you race him, he'll full throttle you in the corner. I know this because I was in the race that got him banned the first time. Myself and a few others were racing C Fixed at Martinsville. He got passed for the lead and tried wrecking the leader, missed. Lost a few spots then full throttled the field wrecking well over half the field. So we all protested and he got banned. I know he came back and the first Pocono this year the kid wrecked me for 2nd, straight up drove into the corner and turned me.
So now we use him to push the service, after acts like him and Speed caused. Nah, I'll stick to racing with people who aren't tools.
Would love to see the replay!
mmm, I remember a certain forum thread where someone was boasting about his daddy's money
Nemesis101 yeah that sucks
His dad has bought his way into every series.
Jason Powers I guess his dad bought his 7 wins in truck along with 4 wins and the championship in Xfinity. Money can get the ride, talent gets the results.
ThatGuy2469 you reference two series where you can literally buy your way into the top 5....
What post?
Why dads matter
I don’t even want iRacing.. I don’t even need a pc. No sim racer needs that..
*cries uncontrollably*
Racing Potato agh well there's other games like rfactor
He forgot to mention his rich Dad. And always having the best car on the track 😂🤦🏽♂️
It use to be a great simulator, now its been 'gamed' because most of the drivers are button clutching or using macros instead of actually using a clutch or heel n toe shifting.
You can now also get a wheel button box that has analogue F1 style clutch next to the paddle shifter. So, it was always doomed to become this way. But blipping the throttle is still very much a thing, so it's only 50% "gamed". iRacing should just remove the penalty from the in-game auto clutch, for the sake of fairness.
You only cheat on yourself
Sorry, iRacing is not a sim, it is a game.
Microsoft Flight Simulator (FSX) is a simulator.
I've got 15 years and thousands of FSX hours in GA aircraft.
There is a video up that shows a 14 year old racing Tony Stewart and holding his own in a wing sprint dirt race.
Do you REALLY think this kid could jump into a 360 wing sprint and do the same?
Absolutely not.
BUT; this same kid with the proper flight sim training would be able to get behind the yoke of a Cessna plane and adequately fly it.
Understand that I am talking scale here.
What the flight sim would teach far out balances what the racing game would teach you.
For example; jumping from PC to real wing sprint, you have to learn how to reach up and rip a tear off instead of pushing a button.
And that is only the beginning.....
Absolute nightmare of a driver.. All money no talent.
did you see him in trucks and Xfinity?
Did he got into the #24 by luck you say?
Steve Claeys $$$$$$$$
@@jbh5992 so you believe they will put a driver in the iconic #24 who is not up tot par? LOL. You don't even get into NASCAR if you are no good. You are not even touching his heels.
Bruh obviously you have no idea how motorsport works.. It doesn't matter how talented you are if another driver has more $ they will put him in the 24
no doubt iRacing is the best sim but its full of trash.. seriously full of trash. i was on nurburgring yesterday and 19 out 40 was disqualified. almost 50%. first lap wreckers need to be banned. or suspended. if you quit 3 races in a row, 1 week suspension. end off.
Yes as "insert your fav sim here" is full of great drivers and has loads of online races. LMAO. GTFO.
I've spent well over $400 for my iRacing account and it's worth every penny. (When the low ranking trash fools aren't racing)
"best sim". Hahahahaha iRacing is a joke. An arcade driving game for dorks and losers who sit at home playing with silly toys. You lot are delusional. iRacing IS NOT a simulator. it's a just a children's game.
"There's iRacing, then there's video games."
1. iRacing is not a simulator.
2. Even if it was, there are other simulators out there.
3. Even so, simulators are still just glorified video games.
And isn't it interesting how they picked a driver who's not doing so well to be their spokesperson? He doesn't even have a top 5 and is 20th in points. Denny Hamlin didn't get the Pocono sweep playing iRacing, but NR2003, which is both cheaper and more realistic than iRacing. iRacing keeps letting drivers down in the real world of racing.
Timothy Chapman what are you talking about?
Brandon McKissic
ikr, dude has no clue xD
He dominated the trucks and xfinity as a rookie
This guy always trolls iracing videos.
"Spokesperson," well yeah, he's the only guy to get into a cup car and be successful in national series NASCAR who used iRacing. And Pocono sweep? Congrats? I mean, it's not like Jimmie Johnson and Dale Jr. have done that, the only 2 I can remember who also did it off the top of my head. And they have many "spokesperson" type people. Dale Jr., Kasey Kahne, Clint Bowyer, Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson, and Tony Stewart all praise iRacing because, hands down, it's the most simulated realistic racing sim out there. NR2003 is good, don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but it still doesn't even compare to iRacing. And the majority of content on NR2003 is all third-party content. You don't get the correct physics, track buildup, tire falloff, etc. Willy B voluntarily states how much iRacing helps him as a real life driver and how much he likes it.
