I have a question though if you don't mind answering, are you using Auto Clutch here? It sounds like the RPMs are jumping every time you shift up but it didn't seem like something I expected to see in top split. Especially this level of top split lol
Oh I'm not trying to sound rude or anything. I'm more curious, I'm very new to sim racing and all people do is say how much slower people are with the clutch assists. So to see you battling at this level seems like that information may have been exaggerates.

@@CarterLundy10 Ah, OK thanks. I'm mainly in ACC, but spend a little time in iRacing. Just having a hard time setting up the brake pedal. Do you know if people just increase the brake force? I'd like to keep the same muscle memory, but am not seeing how it is possible between the two sims
@@notdreadyet33 Do you use a load cell? if so just keep that setting to zero on the settings. when you calibrate it keep an eye at the peddle pressure when it tells you to push the brake. If you want a more sensitive pedal dont press too hard. if you want a harder pedal push harder.
@@dvelez811 Thank you. Yes, I use loadcell. There are 2 issues. The first is ACC more or less encourages you to go 100% for extended periods of braking, at least compared to other sims. So, you need a pretty light brake force, for example 50%. iRacing discourages you from going more than 80%, or else you'll lock up the brakes. I guess it's just a matter of increasing the brake force so much that I can't lock them up. Problem with that is coming back to ACC, all your feel is gone after braking like that for a while. They're just completely opposite. I don't have this problem with RF2 or even AMS2, just iRacing.
@@notdreadyet33 ahh i see what you are looking to do. Unfortunately this wont be a good work around. Iracing requires a lot of brake controll so making it an off or on switch wont really work. Depending on all kinds of factors the lock up point will change. for instance going down a hill vs going up a hill or high speed with aero vs low speed when the aero is falling off. etc. I assume these active pedals might make the transition easier. But if you really want to do iracing you can do it with a normal pedal just spend the hours to get used to it.

Jos is Max's dad's name for those that don't know. He used to race F1 back in the day with Simtek, benneton, arrows, footwork etc.

The Formula Ford does NOT require clutch for upshifting. Simply lift a bit. Same for downshifts, just blip. No clutch
