My first car was a 1957 Ranchero every bit as high in the air as this one. But, it had a straight axle and was set up like an old gasser. The relation to OK is we bought it in Oklahoma City from a place called Jordan's Auto Parts. They sold new and used parts. It was their around town parts delivery rig. We drove it to Tulsa which was our next vacation stop, and did a little work on it to make it a little more drivable. Then drove it to So. Illinois. Reminds me of these "Will it start and run 600 miles home" videos. Eventually, we did a valve job on it, and went ahead and put rings and bearings in it. Turns out it was an FE with 406 bore, with nearly everything else stamped with numbers from a 428 police interceptor. The mechanic called me and Dad in when he got it apart, because he couldn't believe it. He said "See that big old intake?" Yup. "Aluminum, Part matches PI" "See that crank?" Yup. "428 PI" "Cam?" Yup. "Rods?" Yup. So, it seems the Jordans had a little time on their hands and a parts cannon, and they went crazy. It’s gonna suck, but for a bit of relief lightly swish a little mix of water/clove oil, in the area for only 7-10 seconds in the spot it hurts the most. Only if it is truly 9-10 pain..cause the burn from the clove oil is gonna be atleast a 7. DO NOT SWALLOW ANY. And avoid getting it on your lips if you can. If you can tilt your head to the side where the tooth pain is gently swish. It’s going to burn your cheeks a bit but it should at least take the edge off. After you’re done swishing don’t spit it just let it fall out of your mouth so it doesn’t touch your lips. To put paper towels on your bottom lip so it doesn’t touch it as much. And then rinse your mouth with a warm water and do the same thing until the oil isn’t fully covering your mouth. they used to use clove back for dental pain and it works better than Orajel ever could if you can handle it
@DustinLittlefield I used to use this method myself...I would mix the cloves with rum or moonshine...when the nerve is numb, I'd take a needle and kill the nerve...it sucks, but if you don't trust dentists, it's a way to stop the pain...
I’m far from Mr. Safety but you may want to look into getting yourself a flammable liquid storage cabinet for your gas cans. Keeping them in your tool/parts room like that isn’t exactly the safest scenario especially with fumes. Even building a designated cabinet and keeping them outside of the shop would be a good idea. I couldn't wait to watch this when I saw it. The reason why is my friends and I built a 65 Ranchereo 4x4. I had to get a look underneath to see if the old girl made it to OK from Michigan...sadly not ours. We started with a Ranchero with the Futura package (rare option, but could be had) so it came from the factory with a 260 Windsor V8 but ours had a 289 4bbl swapped in. We made sub frame connectors out of box tubing and reinforced the front and rear sub frames and torque boxes at firewall. Next came donor axles from a 72 bronco and leaf springs then we hung an early Datsun divorced transfer case off a crossmember we fabbed... but that did put the 4x4 shifter all the way to the back of the cab so we had to put a bent shifter handle on it between the buckets... drove really nice...particularly considering the amount of beer Jim Beam and magical smudging of small bits of secret herbage. Boys will be boys

Puddin, you have to keep it for your yard truck. You'll have to fix the front wheel drive just to have fun crossing the creek where the Toyota got stuck. When you and Mortske get together, you know it's going to be a fun time for all. Thanks for sharing Chris and may God bless the both of you. Becareful Becareful out there. 🛻🛻🛻
That thing sounds great. I had a '69 Jeep Wagoneer with the Buick 350 (factory installed), good running engines, very torquey and smooth. Wish I hadn't sold that rig.
Loving the collab btw, you guys should do more of them for sure...
My son is selling his 70 Wagoner with the Dauntless V8!
I've not been all that crazy about ranchero's but that ones awesome! I luv it!
No bud lites between us at all.....😂😂😂😂👌
Back in my Army days i drove a 1979 Chevy Caprice Classic 2 door with dual straight pipes with cherry bombs that sounded a lot like that thing when you rapped the pipes.
Stop the rust dead in its tracks with about a 50/50 mixture of Bar & chain oil mixed with deisel fuel about 50/50. Maybe 40%deisel 60% bar & chain & a splash of transmission fluid.
cool lots of fun
What's up with Sir Mortikus showin' up and then there's sirens everywhere?! Not only this video but his as well! 🤣🤣🤣
This thing is freakin sweet, I haven’t even watched the whole video yet. But i sure hope to see a full series on this baby.
Hey pudding I just bought a 73 Ford dent side 1/170 and you inspire me to get it running after it say for 15 years in a barn I'm tearing off the front end to fix the rust you inspired me to do this this will be my high school truck keep up the great work man
Good luck brother I hope you get her up and running
Start a channel and take us along.
Very cool! It would be a cool build to upgrade, make it road worthy, But do you man!
Pull the front axle and replace with a straight axle. Set the rear axle back in place. Build a sweet gasser!
My first thought too when I saw there wasn't a transfer case and it had a twig for a front axle...may as well make it fast.. I mean, what could go wrong?....lol
No way ... 4x4 all the way
@@rockkhound943 if all he wants to do is hit the mud puddle in the yard, there is no need to spend the time and money making it 4 wheel drive again.. weld the rear end and send it
One of the best casts you have had Find a s19 frame to set body on that would be amazing
Just in from the hospital 12 pm work tomorrow but I think there’s some time for puddin make the night better without my daughter being here 👍
I responded positively to the rippin and muddin according to a recent poll I gave myself.
Puddin time
First thing I ve been able to watch for ages you doing the body work an mortsky cleaning up the running gear
Never clicked faster. HOT DAMN it's Puddin time
As soon as I heard the "Yea, Yea" i knew you were talking about UH. guys a legend, much like the Puddin.
Love this thing ! Build it a little. Fix suspension so it doesn’t fall out, get brakes, weld the rear end spider gears for a lincoln locker and make engine run a bit better 🙌
Favorite Ford: 1965 Falcon, favorite gm: 1967 skylark. This video is a chocolate AND peanut butter for me! Love this episode!
That was awesome, you need to keep her for an attitude adjuster for when work gets hectic you can rip her around the back yard and release some stress. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Nice one pudding. You need to keep an make in to a play toy I can't beat having a play toy that you don't have to worry about. You can get a rubber boot to go over the cap and leads. No worries. If you can't find one just let no and I will send you one. Most off are V8 have the cap at the front over here in uk so we just use the rubber caps. It's just like a glove. U need a toy to beat on to get rid off the stress. From Andy in uk
I think a Theo 'dog groomer' box truck w/ merch should be a future build! A cartoon Puddin' & Theo shirt with matching box truck logo decals would be awesome!
We need to see more of this thing!!
Would be cool to see some coilovers on it. Something simple though. You know, build the pig a little.
