Slick and Bill arent just friends, they're Framily (Friends + Family). Glad to hear it wasnt more serious cause that looked wild on the slo-mo action reel and kudos to the boys for coming in clutch to finish the video for ya.
You have just brought a whole new meaning to the phrase, "HOT DAMN"!!! Glad you're healing up Jacob! Kudos to Bill and Slick, they both did great in your absence. I've never seen Bill so animated. AWESOME!!!
You have some good friends, Puddin. To step in and finish your video for you? That is some damn good, supportive friends. I am relieved and thankful that you’re going to be ok.
Bill is a TH-cam natural! He was great at explaining and using the camera to show what he was talking about. He and Slick did great stepping in to help out.
I just want to say a big thank you to and Mortskie. You see I am a disabled NAVY vet and my only dream was to build a 50 footer car with my daughter that would take out on weekends. Unfortunately due to my stroke that is no longer physically or financially possible. However, thanks to you and Mortskie I have been able to live my dreams through you guys. Thank you both so much for helping to get me through the darkest time of my life.
1:18:56 Puddin', this is a tribute to the kind of friendship that you guys have! When you can hand the camera over to Slick and Bill to continue filming and working, and feel confident the project is in good hands while you're out of pocket. Most people would probably have just stopped for the time until they could get back to it. For all of the good things you have going for you, two of the best are standing in your shop carrying on with the show!
When Puddin said he could rebuild an engine with one hand and his eye closed, I thought of the Happy Days episode when Fonzy was blind and Richie made him rebuild his motorcycle. I guess that either qualifies me as old or a fan of TV Land. Awesome episode. Bill & Slick had me howling. Great friends!
Me: "Hmm Puddin has a new video up, I should just watch the first few minutes and finish it later" That intro: "Boy you best sit your butt down and watch this gonna be a good one"
Slick and Bill.... what a great You Tube duo! Slick and Bill should really start their own you tube channel, I know I would subscribe and watch. Slick and Bill have an easy manner, easy to watch and like!
"hot sauce down,HOT SAUCE DOWN" 😂 Let me tell you I was not expecting that, and the sip of coffee went everywhere. Poor pup got a snickers flavored coffee shower.
Thank the lord you had that welding helmet on. Hopefully you’ll heal quick. Burns, cuts and broken bones just seem to go along with grease, grit and spilled coolant. It’s great to have a couple awesome friends to take on these big jobs. It’s still great to see you’re in good humor.
Man I wish I had friends/ family in my life that would step up like that and finish my job ! Don’t ever let them go bud they are good people! Glad your hand isn’t too bad
I love how slick and bill just hopped in there like nothing happened and continued working away... Such great friends. Something I would do lol. Gotta get puddin working the camera while he's healing lol
Jacob you are lucky you didn't loose your hand. You are very lucky to have Bill and Slick to help you out. Please use your protection gear. Swap out the motor and put a different motor. Take care your right hand.
The Slick And Bill Show! You can just take a vacation Puddin'... they're a lot of fun. I'm ready for at least one video a month of them... you've taught them well.
Just now getting to watch the rest of episode, and yall are crazy but you have been blessed with some amazing friends, Thank you so much, Slick 50 & Wild Bill. This has been a fun, unfortunately painful story.
Years ago I was attending a trade school for auto and diesel mechanics. The guys next to us had a slant six. All the rest of us had figured out what the instructor had done to the motors for us to troubleshoot and had them running. These guys were struggling big time and had the thing pretty well flooded. They cleaned up the plugs and put them back in. Firing order....check. Compression....check. Fuel....check. By now the whole class was scratching their heads and the instructor was just laughing. The motor was on a test stand. They gave it another spin. BOOM!!!! The oil pan hit the floor and the valve cover lifted part of the way off. After we cleaned up the mess of oil and.....well, it scared the pee out of us. By that time the instructor called it and let us off the hook. It seems you can put an 8 cylinder distributor in a six. We had loaded the crankcase pretty good with unburnt fuel. We got another pan and valve cover along with the proper distributor. It ran great. We could not find the cap from the old valve lid though. We looked over, under, in and around everything. Then one of us spotted it. It was semi- embedded in the sheet rock ceiling. I hate Puddin got hurt but I laughed hysterically over the memory of that oil pan hitting the floor. Get well soon friend! Cheers Terry
Anyone else think Chris was his younger brother for a second without the tattoos😆?! I'm loving the old stuff , I have a 69 Chrysler Newport and want to build a gasser someday out of a 62 long bed Ford, Keep up the A+ work puddin! You should stock up on burn ointment glad you still have all your fingers!
I am happy for you that you were not hurt any worse than you were. It was also refreshing to see a genuine look of concern on Slicks face when you were hurt. One of the reasons I watch you is because I believe that you are genuine and that you surround yourself with good people. Slick appears to be a good person, refreshing. I wish you the best for your recovery, and continued success with your business endeavor.
seeing bill and slick continue working on the project for pudding and recording everything they are great friends and it was awesome having them finish the video for puddin
Don't feel too bad about the fireball.I did the same thing trying to weld on the inside of a hydraulic tank on a forklift.I didn't let the brake clean air out enough.Hurt real bad but I didn't go to a doctor about it.You now gotta mark the safety board.
If I were to build this as a shop truck, I would pull the body off the frame, fix the rust issues on the body, drop it on an S10 frame, and show it some love with an LS, and a super quiet exhaust. There's nothing like a super quiet old shop truck that can go toe to toe with some modern cars. MAD PROPS to Slick & Wild Bill for steppin in, when you had to step out. That's love!!!!!! Sorry for your booboo, but dam glad it wasn't even close to being as bad as it could have been. When I saw your slow motion clip, it looked like that fire was trying to dance all over your face, that would have really sucked. Glad to read that you're hand is getting better too!!!!! 🤚🖐
Sucks about your hand but very cool to see how your good buddies step up and hold down the fort while you were getting fixed up. They did a great job keeping the content going. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Getting burnt sucks long healing process. You may need to slow down on buying so much and get Caught up on all your back logs. But it's hard to pass up good deals
hate to see your accident but it does happen i to am no stranger to that oh dam moment. You went way above to get that poor motor to run for our entertainment, but it was fun to watch. thank you for all you do. I am a machinist and back yard mechanic love motors and wish i had the space to do stuff like that and yes, I machine motors now too.
Glad to hear you are healing. Glad it wasn't worse. I guess we all have times when we don't think things through. Guilty of that myself. Stay safe and be careful.
Just getting to watch the video!! Jacob! Please be careful we enjoy watching your videos too much and we want to be able to continue watching you. Get better quickly brother.
Hate to see you get hurt messing with a boat anchor. Bad ass truck but it definitely needs a s10 chassis swap with a cammed LS in it. Hope your hand heals fast, I know that's your bread and butter. Love the content
I’m glad that hand is healin. I know this probably won’t be read but I’d really like to see an atlas 4200 put under that truck dime in a dozen and hood power for a light truck.
Spoiler alert. Only half of this video has got puddin doing any work. The good news is he has great friends to pick up his slack. Hats off to #slick50 and #bill!
Safety squints might have led to toasted eyelids. Good thing you had the welding helmet on. You sure don't disappoint puddin'. Hope you heal up well. What good framily you have. Kudos to slick and bill for stepping up in your place. Love your videos.
Puddin, I'm glad you weren't injured too badly. I knew that engine was shot the minute you pulled the head off. Pistons run in tandem. On a six cylinder two are up at TDC, two at midrange and two at bottom. 1 and 6, 2 and 5 then 3 and 4. When I saw number 3 full up and number 4 full down, It was obvious to me that it threw a rod. Let Theo give you some lovin, he'll make that hand feel better!
This video made me cry. Omg what friends and family you got to jump in and help get you that far . Made me think I didn't have one friend or family member that would even help me change a trie late a long help do any kind of work. Wow wow wow is all I can say

Thank you Puddin for all the inspiration. My son is 22 and loves his old vehicles. Currently his Dodge D100 truck. He kept the petiner paint and wear. Got it for $200 and was inspired by you to make it his daily driver to work. Sorry about your hand...hope your back to 100% soon. Yes this momma bear loves all you guys, slick, Bill, and we watch Morticas too. Love your philosophy, "Sitting on your butt won't get your project done."

Does Slick 50 have a channel, can someone link it for me :) thanks friends of Puddin 🩵
@@laurenemily88 no, he says filming slows him down too much. Many of Puddins followers all want him to start one though.
Puddin has said before Slick doesn’t want a channel. He wants to be the best he can at metal work and not worry about camera angles.
Bill and Slick are awesome friends
That dog looks healthier now, fuller. You can tell he's been eating good.

Bill and Slick being true friends by continuing on with trying to fix the engine
I just want to say a big thank you to and Mortskie. You see I am a disabled NAVY vet and my only dream was to build a 50 footer car with my daughter that would take out on weekends. That intro: "Boy you best sit your butt down and watch this gonna be a good one"
I was gonna watch a few minutes then go eat and finish the video later and I set .
I can tomorrow
No lies told here... I just wanted to catch the intro and then go eat. I forgot to eat.
I was just thinking how I think that is probably a trick youtubers to get you hooked.
