I saw Bruce for the first time three weeks before this gig...in Newcastle, England. It changed my life forever. Simply the greatest live performer there has ever been.
I travelled 38 years into the future to see how Bruce would be at the age of 73 and all I can say is WOW. A great performance in 1985 and still great in 2023
RIP Big Man. I have been listening to Bruce Springsteen's music for over 30 years, so I have been hearing Clarence on the sax since 30 years ago. Even though reports for a week said he was very ill, it was still shocking news today. I had a tear in me eye.
I remember watching a BBC special to promote the release of Live 75-85: Bruce said he would have loved to have that one on, but they couldn't fit it in. As we see now, they did have a great version that would have been worth including!!!!
🙏❤️🙏Zu der Zeit wußte ich noch nicht das ich, dass ich als Deutsche auch mal nach Paris reisen würden können. Bruce Musik begleitet mich jedoch schon sehr sehr lange Zeit. Eine Lebensbindung/ Seelen Verwandtschaft.
From Wiki: "A Bruce Springsteen concert on Nya Ullevi Sweden 8 June 1985, became legendary because Springsteen - with the help of a very enthusiastic audience (64,312) - almost rocked the stadium to pieces, literally. The rhythmic movement of tens of thousands of people was close to causing a structural collapse" :D
No Julio Iglesias could have rocked that stadium to the ground. It was almost falling apart from foot ball games. Nya Ullevi was the worst stadium in the whole of Europe because it was built on mud. So the When a stadium almost falls apart from a Football game Off course it Will fall apart in a concert. The 1985 gigs in Gothenburg were just awful. They were really bad. In 1988 he came to the Olympic Stadium in Stockholm and did the best gigs he has ever done in Sweden ever. The second consert from the Olympic Stadioum was sent Around the world on radio and became legendary and Off course the first show Springsteen released from Sweden. Bit in short, he rocken much harder in 88, the band was much better, the sound system was much better, Bruce was about 100 times better in 1988 than in 1985.
Thank you Bruce And the E Streeters for you many many long years of rock n rôle spirit.
don't we all have some "glory days" one way or another way? Mac-sog 68-69in country but never came back to those days- only in our own minds, but glory days kept us all going on to and into our "new lives" the BOSS will live on for all of time, even in the hisstory books!
I first heard Bruce on the radio while still playing baseball "back in the day". This tune really hit home. What I didn't realize was how entertaining the guy really is in a live performance. I guess that's why many refer to him as "The Boss"! He's definitely earned that title.
Same tour Gothenburg, a life changing gig. ...and we were rocking it so hard that we literary moved the stadium 2 inches, half of inch more the whole stadium would have fallen into pieces. They had to close the stadium for repair in the next coming two years.
When I pay for a concert to hear my favorite artist sing my favorite songs, I don't really want to hear his Improvisations! I want it to sound like the hit on the radio. I can listen to other artists do their improv covers of the songs.
What is special about a concert is that it is live! And the person who made those originals can embellish, extend, customize THEIR songs. They can even explain how the song came to be or why. Give me whatever the artist wants cuz it is his!
Clemons! R.I.P Big Man!!!
@danielsimonon ...that's not Little Steven. He was with the Disciples of Soul at time. That's his replacement, Nils Lofgren. Steve came back later, when the E-Streeters re-formed
That was phenominal. I only got into the boss a few months ago after watching live in barcelona and he has provided me with so much music happiness since. Fuckin legend.
I was there and i did ent now this singer at time i was 15 year old, too day is one of my favorit singer im 51 old ! Time gone too fast ! C'est la vie 😁 (sorry for my english) 😷😁
There's certainly a shortage of real instruments, and real voices, in Pop music these days. Concerts are more of a big, dramatic, production instead of the fun these guys have just playing music. I'm waiting for the tides to turn. It's time for pop music to swing back this way.

He came to Miami same tour. Utterly fantastic, to this day, the best concert I've been to.
Totally agree. The best performer I’ve ever seen live!

R. I. P. Clarence, Danny, and Terry (Father Time). They’ve gone to a place where the music never ends. May Bruce’s music never end….
i read this on the homepage:
´´when clarence dies he doesnt leave the e-street band, he leaves when we die´´
big words for the big man
Brings a smile to my face to see the Big Man on stage. RIP Big Man you might be gone but will always remember you and those Glory Days!
