I was there!!!!!! Buenos Aires, Argentina 1988. Amnesty Tour. This was the final show. Bruce, along with Peter Gabriel, Sting, Youssou N'Dour (and others) managed to awake the crowd. Keep in mind that this was a 12-hour festival and most of us were exhausted, but the BOSS blew our minds!!!!!!!
Eternas gracias Bruce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the post, friend. Ive seen other clips in BA, notably Queen. The place ROCKS!
NEVER seen an audience react like this. Those people know how to enjoy!
How did I just come across this absolute gem so late in my life?!?!
Stunningly good!!
If you wanted to show future generations how good live music was and will never be again, just put this video in a time capsule. In a thousand years, folks will watch it and shake their asses like they never did before...Bank it
I saw little Kids at His Concert. I was the one, at 29, looking at all the Older People. Now I am one of Them. Today & in the future will never know how Great He was.
Incredible how a song with Afro Cuban roots, that's a staple of Mexican folklore and eventually converted to Rock & Roll in the 50s still has had such an impact on Rock culture. I'm just trying to say that music is amazing.
Dude, and that´s because the beatles didn't get their hands on Guantanamera.
Damn, where was this in my 38 years of existence ? Mind blown. What a performance!
Great Concert!!! Amnesty Tour, Buenos Aires - Argentina 1988, I was there!!
And that is a man having fun on the stage and transmitting it to thousands of people...
An example of how Bruce Springsteen is a GREAT front man.....one of the best ever.
Almost 80 and I just found this! Wow! Glad I didn't miss out!
no special effects ,no cell phones recording ,just being in the moment experiencing the magic of pure music
It is so evident by this clip that Bruce Springsteen loves to perform and that he loves his audience(s).
There are great Stars, there are even real Legends...and there is Bruce Springsteen. The one and only Boss !
I can't believe I've never seen this video before--what an incredible performance! I love how the overhead view of the audience looks like bubbling molten lava.
Bruce just doesn't fucking care be it Twist & Shout or La Bamba... The fact that everyone's having one heck of a time is what matters to him and I just love this so much
I so agree with you & feel the same exact way! Wowwwwwww! What a performance ( as always!!!)!
Man, I swear, I swear I have no words to describe how majestic is this, I am 22 years old but I spend my life with songs from these legends, Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Richard Marx, Rod Stewart irreplacable figures, the world will never, ever again will have such legends
Did you actually just put Bryan Adams in the same sentence as Bruce Springsteen?
@@kevinf9453 Bruce is The Boss! But Adams also gave us great music and during live performances he is one of the kind.
I love the fact that you are listening to the boss and other greats!!! You won’t regret it. Saw Bruce many many times in concert......such Energy!!! Now watch.....Queen (Freddie Mercury is the greatest showman), Boston, Kansas, Heart; George Thorogood, Styx, LED Zeppelin....etc..... enjoy!! 😁👍😘
No one has more fun on stage than Bruce. He just loves what he's doing.
One of the greatest performances of all time. I’m speechless.
The fire in his chest keeps the fire in mine more alive than he could imagine. Thank you Bruce Springsteen!
Agree there. What an incredible human being! I wasn't even born then but couldn't imagine my life now, without that music, this sounds, just wow! Every time!
I was having a bad day till watching this
Gira Amnesty 1988. Buenos Aires Argentina.
Ariel, I didn’t understand a word of that outside of Amnesty 1988, Buenos Aires, but that’s all I needed! Much love and peace!
@@davidweatherman2200 Amnesty Tour 1988. Buenos Aires Argentina. Happy to have been there among that tide of people. Bruce, Argentina loves you. Thanks for your music
I swear, if you told Bruce to sing, "O Holy Night" for the Pope, he';d have the pontiff in tears.
Please don’t start me about the Catholic Church and the endless problems with Catholicism !!
I AM a bloody catholic too !!!!
Amazing how he can take a simple song and blow it into the ionosphere.
The Argentinian crowd is amazing... They know how to party!!! And Bfuces performance is one of the best live performances I've ever seen. Love how he rocks the audience and goes with them!!!!
4 hours Bruce live on stage and you crawl out of the stadion, totally exhausted and haaaaaaapy! Those were the days!!! Thanks Bruce!
The greatest parties I've ever been to were Bruce Springsteen concerts.
Not a big Springsteen fan but God almighty this is true rock and roll God bless America, thank you bruce for your music.
this is the best concert music segment ever. All these years later it still makes you want to jump sing and dance.
I'm almost 80 and he's still awesomely fantastic!!❣❣
Da muss man einfach mitanzen. Viel Freude und Spass. 😊
Grüsse aus Unna, Germany
He's called THE BOSS for a reason. 🎸
YES, because he is his crew's boss, he's paying their paycheck after a show/tour/performance lol.
That's it, nothing to do with his music.
Yeqrs ago someone asked something and anotjer one answered him with "ask the boss". Since that day his crew, the E-street band etc called him 'the boss' because he just is. Real fans do know that.
It's not like MJ, King of pop lol.
I´m 65 but I just can´t keep quiet as soon he starts rocking - the only thing I need is a bunch of water and space around me to twist and shout with the Boss --- all my love from Sweden
Hoy tengo 49 y me emociona ❤️😘. Cuánta nostalgia ❤️. Un abrazo fuerte
I saw him at Wembley on July 4th 1985. What a night! No wonder they call him The Boss.
This is the best performance of twist and shout ever
As from fans yes . As performed by artist no , John was wayyyyyyy ahead of that
When Bruce performed it in Gothenburg 1985 the audience were dancing and jumping so much that the stadium's foundation nearly collapsed, that might be the best but there is no video of it
This has to be one of the great rock n roll performances ever
The scene is full of stars, but the crowd is the superstar in these images. All the best from Transylvania.
What a performer!!!i didnt know that this was in argentina, then i saw the crowd and think this must be buenos aires! Best crowd ever
When you see the crowd you understand what music happiness mean in this life .
I am quite sure both songs are out of tune a bit. But it’s Bruce and everyone’s just happy to be with him ❤. Everyone just looks so happy jumping around 🤟!
Who else but "THE BOSS" could do an 11 min version of twist and shout and have 100,000 fans bopping the whole time... BRUUUUUUUUCE
He's gotten that nick name because he's paying his crew's/band's paychecks. That's it. Ofcourse he is their boss.
Not because he's 'the boss' of Rock and Roll or what ever...
The boss became his nick name after some crew member answered another crew member's question with "ask the boss'. That's all.
True fans do know that.
@@cdgs7793 ... Bruce got the nickname the boss way back when they were playing lounges and bars and clubs... even though we didn't like the task he was always the one that was charged with the task I'm going to collect the money for the night's work from the bar owner of the club owner and paying the rest of the band... I think it actually goes all the way back to when he was playing with a band called steel mill
He didn't know the lyrics to La Bamaba but still made an entire performance out of it. Just amazing
@@MrGreteling
It's the chords to both songs...it's called a medley.................ok
@@stevenwoods6093 Also it sounds like it's la bamba with twist and shout lyrics on top, it's a little confusing when you know really well both songs
I seen other concerts from the 1988 Amnesty Tour but this one from Buenos Aires is the best Since Bruce,Sting,Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman and Yossou just made it so much fun to listen to and watch they know how to make a concert fun. I also love how even though it’s only La Bamba and Twist and shout and his Bruce makes it such a fun tune to dance and sing too
Wow!!, This performance was something else....absolutely amazing!!, Love all of Bruce's performances, but this one had me dancing more♥️🎵🤩💯
Psst there are more more more and way more perfimance like this where you just cant stop listening to, altough there times enough os enough, but enjoy✌
I was there. Buenos Aires, Argentina
Oh my gosh! What an extraordinary performance this was & seeing that huge audience jumping & singing as one is such an awesome sight to see! As always, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band are a sight to behold! Just adore them all & always have! ♥️
What's with Argentina ? Why is the crowd so energetic? They have the best concerts...hands down
Many thanks to the poster , I recorded this 30 years ago and lost the tapes , very glad to see the Boss again in this awesome show :)
Argentina, simplemente pasión. Gracias, vecinos!

There was this man, they called The Boss, Bruce Springsteen..
100.000 man went crazy, when this living legend.. Rocked the scene!
He played in every stadium around the globe
He gave people joy, he gave people love he gave people hope...

@@dantheman1508 the beatles no longer perform and Richie Valens is dead.
Well sure The Beatles have sadly gone away but There are 2 left so it could still work, and sure Ritchie Valens has sadly passed but he didn't write the song that goes to Los Lobos and still prefrom La Bamba.
@@dantheman1508 the original is the melody from an old traditional Mexican folksong. And was made in the state Veracruz. Ritchie Valens made his version way back in 1958. Los Lobos released their version in 1987. But between those two there was this songwriter named Trini Lopez, who released his version back in 1963! But ofcourse we are all the most familiar with the Los Lobos version....like the movie!
@@dantheman1508 La Bamba still played at weddings in the state Veracruz.. the melody is originated from the mid 40's . Almost 80 years ago!
Pls, tell me how many times have u seen Bruce as hapy as here, rolling on the floor, shauting, laughting, playing with water... etc... PROUD TO BE THE BEST AUDIENCE HE EVER HAD!
Simbiosis perfecta Bruce y fans.
Beautiful when he catches on what they are singing and how he gets in on it. 2:30
Bruce, a super man possessed with transcendent energies!.. which radiate to every one around him.
Only watching this video I'm feeling the super vibes and fiding myself smiling, the same way when I attended two times, his concerts in NJ, July 2008 and September 2012. It was an amazing experience. 😍🎸🎤🎼🎶🎵🎵🎶
THE BOSS THE BEST
Bruce super talented, he got the crowd crazy
Do these songs just naturally mesh up that perfectly?? Damn. That was pretty amazing.
Bogus McBogus The Isley Brothers wrote the lyrics for Twist & Shout. The chord structure however was inspired (or borrowed) from La Bamba, a traditional Mexican folk song.
My God, that crowd.
No phones...just hands!
Phones don't work particularly well for the concerts by the BOSS , you cannot keep still . It is all encompassing, electric, ground breaking honest to God music.
What a fantastic crowd. Bruce is still the boss. His music deserves a few thumbs up.👍👍 Here is a sweet kiss for Bruce from Kathy💋💋👩👩

mr springsteen is among the best performers of all time, he has his own great songs but he is equally good at performing other people's songs and his special talent is to energize every other band member. A true legend.
! Que buena voz.
Greatest live performer of all time as far as I am concerned
Yes..twice. I have seen Bruce 24 times since 1985. As I say I have never seen any live performer who even comes close.
Agree, the reason he is, well very simple, Bruce and his band are thoroughly enjoying what they are doing,,,,, entertaining the audience.
Just brilliant. There's something you don't see every day, Sting playing air guitar. What a party.
Can't stop playing this video. Bruce never fails. Makes me happy to see the boss WOW he PURE king of Rock and the world .

Ten minutes and forty five seconds of pure joy.
Breath taking. Words don't often fail me but they do when I try to describe the power of a Bruce Springsteen show. The man always gave it everything he had and he had a lot to give.

BRUUUUUCE!!! The man, the myth, the living LEGEND.AWESOME!!
This is the best. New edge of the entertainment. I love all of them. The Boss, The Police, The Beatles , Ritchie Valence, The Top Notes.

@@birdlynn417 absolutely dear. Missing them so badly and madly.
Best version of this song period
If i dont watch this video i would had never noticed the similarity there is between TWEEST & SHOUT AND LA BAMBA ....SO CURIOUS !!!! ....
La Bamba, a Mexican icon song for the world
in 1988 my wife & I were travelling around with friends in a beaten-up Land-rover in Southern Africa & went to the Anti-apartheid concert in Harare Zimbabwe. Bruce & all the performers had sacrificed their summer concert seasons to support the Anti-apartheid movement. I remember this song although it wasn't as 'structured' as this performance, some of the crowd were singing 'Twist & Shout' others were singing 'La Bamba' but whatever you sang it was bloody fantastic !
❤️❤️Fantastic! Brilliant! Beautiful Wonderful! Thank you!❤️❤️
Dear Bruce Springsteen, you have always raised crowds. What an amazing personality. I love this way he deals with the audience so much. ❤🇧🇷❤
