Just brilliant! It's great seeing this again. Loved watching it back in the 70s. I used to rush home from school every day and couldn't wait to get out of the uniform and get sat down in front of the TV for the kids programs. Michael's show was always funny to watch and the puppets still crack me up today after all these years. Timeslip, The Tomorrow People, HOW!, The Children of the Stones, The Ghosts of Motley Hall, The Black Arrow, Arthur of the Britains, Catweazle were some more of my favourites. Certainly brought back some memories. Thanks! 👍
Really cheered me up during covid 19. GOD bless & keep you Michael Bentine. He did a lot of work to get recognition & an eventual apology to the Polish troops, navy and RAF. My parents were both heroic Poles and they met him, several times. Him talking about the Polish RAF was something he could have made into another show. He spoke with such passion
He did do a programme, maybe 40+ years ago, about his involvement with Polish pilots etc. I remember him dancing down an old Bomber command runway singing a Polish song they had taught him. I'm confused about getting an 'apology' for Polish troops though. Apology for what?
Great sketch loved tgis serious. You had to be on the spectrum to come up with something as mad and entertaining as this from my childhood days. Thanks for uploading
One of my earliest memories. Didn't have a clue what was going on. Used to be fascinated by the invisible peoples footprints in the sand. nearly 45 years later I'm still confused. 😂😂
I think Michael Bentine must have wrecked his voice pre-recording the other characters' voices in this one. And as for "the British Army marches on its rissoles" - Ha! Ha! Ha! I bet that one went over the heads of most of his young audience!
Can someone please help and remind me of I can remember in my memory, when I used to watch M.Bentine show were there were " invisible feet going across sand etc " whilst talking if I remember correctly? If here on TH-cam too I hope? Many thanks
@@postscript67 He first used it as a segment of his TV series It's a Square World I have his autobiography and he talks about it there. This series predated Potty time by a number of years

Thanks for reminding me of this great programme.
I used to love this programme when I was a kid. It was only later that I realised the joke of 'Potty Time'.
My Uncle Ronnie did the Visual Effects for this Show.
He did a marvellous job too
The British Army marches on their Rissoles!
LOL
I remember legging it home from school to watch these as a kid. Classic tv
The Queen's dressmaker made costumes for all the puppets. They were all excellent, especially these ones.
Just brilliant
"Great Mrs Beatons' rolling pin"! Brilliant. :):)

Fond memories watching potty time when I was sat on one 😂
Micheal Bentine: one of the last great, British lunatics.
I’m pretty sure that’s the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich as the backdrop.
A very interesting chap!
A spiritualist after he met an RAF officer and chatted to him only to find out that the pilot had been shot down and killed some hours earlier.
When I was young. This was a regular in the afternoon. Always a little strange?
I loved spike but I feel that bentine was the real inspiration for the goons orinigally
But having said that, the original 4 goons were like Led Zeppelin, all four were equally important 👍
