Man, I remember searching translations to what medjay says in release for like a week and because nobody upload it i gave up. Months later, here it is, thank you so much 🥺🌹
Eef - F: Pronunciation (f): (To) Battle! It's kinda like French and German, as in these languages, there are Masculine, and Feminine terms. This one is obviously Masculine. Not trying to bust your balls, I'm illustrating a point. 😂
@@Hemonel Not really, the pronunciation is created by Egyptologists, linguists and historians as the vowels of an Afro-Asiatic language such as Ancient Egyptian were long lost, thus these researchers need a conventional way to pronounce Egyptian words.
While it would make sense in a historically accurate game for him to speak a bit of Latin, but these people are outlanders in this game for a reason... Marco Yolo: We went from having a Pirate introducing some of the latest technology in this time period to seeing a Warrior called Medjay, from one of the most ancient civilizations, in history.
if you do this again id cut down the explanation at the start significantly, 30 seconds is pretty overkill especially with the ability to pause id also suggest not cutting away as soon as the voice line finishes as it made it very difficult to look at the original line, the translation, and what move/animation its tied to thanks for the translations nevertheless though
Yo thanks so much for the translations! It must be hard for you to listen to the voice lines. I just posted a comment on MajorN latest video to let everyone know of ur channel. Please reply me here if u don't want the comment. Thanks! Apparently, medjays last feat voice line is called anserif from major n video on afferent.
I don't think 0:38 is actually meant to be anything. Before the medjay came out, I heard the mooks make this yelling noise. I think it's literally just a hi-yah.
Egyptians weren't identified by skin color. The majority were olive skinned people who looked more Arab. Medjay being darker is due to Nubian heritage, or Kingdom of Kush.
@Urboymoe there are indeed many pharaohs we Americans classify as "black". Egyptians never cared much for skin color, they called themselves by Region, you can have a lighter skinned nubian just as much as having a darker skinned egyptian.
@DUNMAGHLAS ok i tried and he says m mki when i do side dodge attacks with Staff and dodge forward with axes, but axe side dodge attack im not to sure. Also with dodge forward attack on staff he says Xdb

Finally a close translation to medjay
Pretty crazy to think that Ubi came up with an entire language in AC Origins and used it here
Didn’t play ACO, but Ubi doesn’t made up a language for Medjay, it is Ancient Egyptian
More fuel for that "FH is an AC universe simulation" theory
