I so admire your tenacity, such difficult conditions and you still produce a beautiful painting when most of us would have given up. Those lights at Helston were such a perfect touch, so tiny but they really created that foggy atmosphere.
I managed to catch this 15 minutes after you posted it and enjoyed it with toast and marmalade and an early breakfast before taking a village church service! It was a lovely way to start the day and the mood and mist of the painting captured the day. Also some practical notes - the positioning of canvas separators at the corners made a great deal of sense. Like wise it was good to see you using a variety of brushes - it helps to make a choice when buying.
Hello Andrew! I think you made a really beautiful picture from a very unpromising subject. I think most of us would have trudged off home! I love your colour choices and learned a lot about creating depth.
Hi Andrew. Even on a manky day you manage to pull something good out of the bag. Congratulations on your award. Well deserved. I watched LAOTY and thought the deep fried Mars bars must have clouded their judgement. Didn't understand the Caribbean meeting Stonehaven. I was convinced you would have been in the top three if not overall winner. There is no justice. Capturing that day in charcoal was spot on. Cheers 😊
Love watching your painting process, so informwtive and really lovely painting. I think you would talk to yourself even if you weren't videoing😊 and the birdsong is quite beautiful, they haven't really started singing much yet here in cold, wet and snowy north Wales.
Another fine painting. Don't know how you do it. I could feel the damp and cold. I would have abandoned ages ago and gone for a cup of tea and a piece of cake! Well done getting the award. You deserve it.
Great video! Thanks so much for putting it together (I know how difficult painting plein air can be, especially when you're filming it!). Also, beautiful painting.
Great video! Loved this one. Really really helpful. I love this moody painting…. Congratulations on the award; no surprise there ! See your new R&C brushes are getting quite a workout ! 😳
Thank you Lisa - I love this brush set. Courtesy of my 'Buy me a coffee' page for which I am very grateful - it's nice to show my supporters they are getting a good workout
You're very organised and calm in composing and building your work. I admire that. My own approach is very different. I get quite agitated and anxious which sometimes takes the enjoyment out of it. Thanks for the film and for sharing your work
Hi Andrew, thanks for this. I wouldn't have stayed that long. What do you do with these paintings? Do you use them as studies or sell them as they are? Cheers Steve

Foggy Days have a beauty of their own, wich is wonderfully depicted in your Painting. And Congratulations Andrew.

Thank you so much Anita. Spring does seem to arrive early here in Cornwall and the birds singing certainly are a delight.
Saw your work at the Mall Gallery yesterday. Congratulations!
