Awasom job and it's such a beautiful car and one of my favorites I really enjoyed your video thanks for sharing this with us I wish it was mine so cool
WOW, get vid. This is what I needed to see for sure. I started a 57 Ford gasser 15 years ago and lost interest. I parked it in my shed and there it sits. Not for long after watching this. Thanks for sharing this. Heading out to the shed, let the fun begin.
having a good place to work on it is important. what I tell Friends is no matter what go out there and do something everyday. never look at the big picture concentrate on just what Your working on get that done and move on
Sorry didn't finish it. My family always had Fords. The GMs we had always were a pita. My parents had 2 57 Fords and I would love to have one to restore
Love the 57 Ford's. I saw one at a car show in Oklahoma with the 427 cammer about 30 years ago and it was loud and mean. And keeping a Ford all Ford is the only way to go
Hey Halstead neighbor! I’ve just started on my ‘59 Fairlane. It’s up in the air right now getting drop spindles on it as well as a lot of chassis work. Also installing new brake lines and rebuilding the rear brakes and the front end is getting converted to disc. The other up grade is power brakes. Then it’s on to the electrical upgrades and getting the motor running. Hope to see you soon!
In the late 60's in Oregon there was a '57 ford gasser or altered with a 289 hilborn inj. and I believe on fuel. Wild sounding and performing and NO one believed it was a 289.
One of the few years that ford actually outsold them. My dad had one in his youth with a sbc. He later bought a four door and recently a 2 door. He was gathering parts for a ls swap. I'm going to use the ls for my chevelle and go with a 460 for the ford. Love your build.
I remember my dad buying a 1957 ford it was red and white inside and out. Still Had that new car smell and how I loved to take a ride in it. It was a automatic with the 292 V-8 Beautiful car for sure. Seems like they all used to take pride in there cars. I wanted him to get a 1956 crown Victory that he tried out first but he got the 57. That was some of the best times for everything in my opinion.
I see that the fit and finish in fifty seven was the same with all manufactures. I restored my 57 in 85 and its held up this long so I must of accidently did it right.
there comes a point when working on a 57 anything You have to say that's it and stop trying so hard or You'll never get done. I look at the door gaps and wish they were better but that would have been months of work for Me. I'm just so happy to have it done!
I don’t understand why you wouldn’t take the body off the frame but it’s your car.🛠👍🇺🇸 by the way I can really appreciate your choice in cars but I can’t in the choice in your music. I love 57 Ford’s always have. I have a 57 Ford Ranchero myself I don’t think I’ll ever part with.
Glenn there's a roll cage welded to the frame inside the 57 so it wasn't a simple matter of unbolting the body. The photos software in windows 10 doesn't have the best music I thought it was better then nothing, there were several videos I couldn't include because of the music in the back ground was copy righted. Over the years the 57 Ranchero has eluded Me. I'd sure like to find one someday
Absolutely amazing craftsmanship. You are my hero.
That Ford is awesome!
man that is a good year style.Great gasser.

Amazing car and story!!
More 57 Fords were sold than 57 Chevys and I see why. She's a beauty.

Well done. Looks fantastic!
gotta love 57 fords.
Beautiful
fucking beautiful !
I’ve owned several 57 Fords, I think they look way better than the Chevy! They also won more races than their Chevy counterparts!😂
