I guess Asir anna we also need to look for A B C Pillars, when you remove the pillar rubber beedings you will be able to see the original Punches on the corners of all pillars if that is missing then some rework has been done on the pillars. 5:08 trunk lid also should be checked for replacements by the sealing on the edges. Similarly, the when trunk lid is kept open, the moulding part between roof panel and quarter panel can be noticed if it is replaced, this way, both the roof and quarter panel can be checked
9:28 out of my experience, never ever take any relative or friend during inspection of a car... we need to personally inspect the car until we are fully satisfied, and then we can ask just for a suggestion with them regarding market price or etc...but never take them along..Because, when you like the car and its genuineness, the ones who are coming with you will change your mind completely .. Better we ourselves inspect the car , because at end of the day, we are going to own it and we are going to drive it.

In my experience...if you have enough knowledge about cars, we can surely go for Second hand cars.
In our friends squad, we bought a used 2010 Honda city which is running as smoothly as a new car after 1.5 years. (We havent done any major work except scheduled service). After that we bought a used 2008 Honda Civic automatic for myself driven 7500kms in 9 months still running in perfect condition and haven't serviced yet. (Have replaced the headlight aftermarket & AC gas topup service done for my convenience).
So we can definitely save a huge amount in buying a second hand car because of the current peak price for the new cars.

@@imajayop Through OLX platform, have inspected the car multiple times personally, have cross checked the service record with the company, a trustable mechanic (who's like a family mechanic) & proper study about the car which cost us a time period of 3 months to finalise. At this time we have also planned to buy another used car for our friend & we're in the process.

9:10 not always smoke from oil dipstick indicates a bad sign...in diesel cars like VW, Audi, Ford, generaly after a service we can find white fumes coming out of the dipstick. So it can also be due to over top up of engine oil
Yes, most of the VAG cars have higher blowby and can be seen thru the dipstick and which is very normal

Good idea to take certified car by you but profit making should be low compare to other sellers and trust and brand should be developed at its best.வாழ்த்துக்கள்.

IMO, used cars are greater value than buying new cars, even if I have a budget to buy let's say a new taigun, seltos, kushaq or even salvia for 20 lakhs, I will still consider a used skoda octavia diesel DSG or manual (2015 or 2016)
but they don't give engine and parts outside of service center's like Mahindra or Maruti

3:42 in addition to stickers, we should also check the bonnet sealing.. replaced bonnets either will not have sealing , or will have a low quality sealing

8:08 before closing the door when engine is running, need to keep the window open,,,in some cars where keyless entry is added as an extra accessory, chances are the door will get locked automatically after closing. So need to keep window open for safety. Also, when engine running, we can check for NVH (Noise Vibration Harshness) factor of engine by holding steering wheel and raising the engine to certain rpm (maybe 2000 rpm) ..so better to keep window open.
You're right, but doors get auto lock after reaching 20kmpl speed.. it won't lock on idle

@@paranjothi19 locking at 20km/h is one of the feature of "nowadays car" , which we call as speed sensing lock... But what I'm telling is an accessory which wil get locked if key is set to ELECTRICALS ON position

If you dnt have any dream for specific cars like free style, polo.. Etc, better to go for new basic option of entry level hatches like alto to swift.... Most of people don't sell the car in good condition. Only very rare and 5 percent people would go for upgrade /flying foreign... Etc

Video was good, but in addition to the content, things to be checked are
1. Door sealings (on the edges of the inside)
2. Inside weatherstrips of all door opens, to check for rustings or pillar or panel replacements,
3. All Power window and rear view mirrors shud be checked while in parking condition, not while driving,
4. Spare wheel and tool kit , as well as rear floor panel by lifitng the carpet,
5. Turbo charger pickup (for all diesel cars)
6. Leakeages of fluids inside as well as under the engine compartment.

In dirsel cars...EGR valve cleaning needed. Crankcase ventilation valve may indicate back pressure through dip stick.

18:02 while checking the insurance, copy, it is must to check the IDV value (insured Declared value) , as well as NCB value (NO CLAIM BONUS). NCB value wil indicate whether any claims have been done on the insurance, by which, further we can reassure cars' quality.
If IDV, is zero then it is a third party insurance, in that case we need to ask the owner to top up or convert it to a comprehensive package before buying the car, else we need to negotiate the price for it while buying the car.

I see many vendors selling second cars without any knowledge on cars. If you start any refurbished cars as a startup please do consider every penny the customers put. Cos they can't afford money to buy a new one. Hope if u start a venture you will provide good cars only. If you start a venture I'll be the first one to buy a car.
Now a days, buying a new car in the time of expecting electric vehicles is not advisable. Main reason is, any buyer plan to retain the car for nearly 10 years. Within 3 or 4 years we have to shift for EV. Good for II hand cars.

U can start ur own brand refurbished vehicles business but my suggestion is instead of investing to buy and refurbish u can provide services to asses inspect the cars and assist the buyer to buy a good one and can charge consulting fees. Create a new app, buyer can contact. u can appoint franchise in all places so that buyers from all over can benefit. Later u can expand with more services and deal in used car refurbish and sales u can succeed with little investment
