Universal X86 Tuning Utility: amdaputuningutility.com/ People, the software has some little bugs when you activate/deactivate the checkboxes, but that's about it, overall? Awesome!
We in Ukraine now have blackouts 2/7: 2 hours with electricity and 7 without. So I use this utility not to overclock but to underclock my laptop. With 9W allocated to AMD APU instead of 35W, it can game for 3-4 hours from laptop battery instead of 45 minutes, although not graphically demanding games are what I used. Still, amazing tool. And laptop with 9W does not goes too hot even during this 38C summer heat
OMG! A curve optimizer feature! I will never have to go into the BIOS again to fix the reboots resulting from my lack of knowledge when it comes to curve optimizing, hahaha! 🙌
what cool tools are all these that I have never heard of. this thing is also really cool and I will definitely need it later... I am still impressed by optiscaler, it is also awesome, by the way it runs with my entire AMD system with once human, frame generation almost doubles the fps :O
I love this tool! On my R5 5500U, I feel a significant improvement when I can exceed 25W. The only problem with the tool is if I modify the maximum GPU clock manually, something keeps forcing the clock to a minimum of 400MHz, and then I need to adjust the minimum clock to close to the maximum, but the PC's performance is poor this way.
Are you referring to when increasing the iGPU clock, the CPU clock lowers? If so, the extra power sent to the iGPU could be reducing the power to the CPU.
I know I'm most likely going to give this a little play, but can I just tap into your wealth of knowledge & ask a basic question? And that is - Would there be much benefit to using this with 7900x3D + 3090 + 5600 DDR5? BTW you really go into some excellent detail & explain things very well in your videos brother. Thx!
UXTU is best for limiting power bit by bit for better battery life, or quiet mode. For example my machine uses dgpu+cpu=45W is standard when unplugged. I can drop it to 30W while using dgpu at low/medium settings and get close to 3 hours battery life. 20W is possible using igpu but will bog some games as it has older vega 8 680M 780M or 880M/890M get much better battery life and use about 15W and disable the dgpu. (For my laptops ryzen 5000 series it is best to just adjust 'slow' limit for the combined dgpu+apu smartshift limit to control apu or apu+dgpu combined power limit)
This is cool on paper, but hot in practice. With temps going over 40C outside in the worst days, the last thing I wanna do is add +60W heat generation to my room. For those who want to delay their PC upgrades, and you need the FPS, go ahead, it may save the day for you.
The vega 8 can be pushed quite far until the vrm's overheat, you need a good cooler and you can run baldurs gate 3 20-30 fps at steam deck settings/res (800p/720p low + ultra fsr)
Great video! I recently got a 5800X3D + 6950XT combo and I'm in love with the performance but was looking to optimize the temps a little bit. Will give this software a try Also what overlay are you using for the FPS info? Afterburner?
Interesting, they added a lot of stuff since last time I tried it and "high" CPU utilization is fixed. This might be easy to use replacement for powershell script for vega iGPs for setting minVCN clock to avoid VP9 decoder bug (depending if it is reliable to reapply setting after sleep etc).

Yes
Does this program work on old AMD CPU like AMD A8-5600K??
i suppose it still wont help overclocking a locked cpu like i5-9400f right?
Im pretty sure you will have to disable some power limits in BIOS if possible..
I don't think so. It might allow you higher power limits though
Would u mind comparing this vs stock software like amd. if performance is any different
thanks
Does it save the core offset for the cpu even when you restart the pc?
If you want to it does. You can create profiles as well
do you have a manual setting for rx6600? max performance but safe?
ihave ryzen 5 4600g & rx6600😅
Yeah, watch my tutorial
@@AncientGameplays what video sir Thankyou ❤️
imean sir using this software sir Thankyou ❤️
Thanks to AMD 5000 series mobile chips cannot be undervolted and memory can't be OCed. So only way to make the cpu more efficient is to reduce TDP and thus performance. Do mobile chips really need to run at 80W with 1.3 V under load ?
report that to AMD...
@@AncientGameplaysDo you think AMD cares about last gen processors ? Undervolting and PBO offset are locked down on HW level. And ftpm stuttering has not been fixed to this day 😂
Erm, that looks a lot like the AMD Vega logo 😬😁
Yup
Will it improve performance with 5800 X 3D cpu?
See if curve optimizer is enabled
I have a 16 inch intel MacBook Pro that I use for work and run windows games via bootcamp on my free time. (Insert Macs can’t game joke here)
And it is a night and day difference this app has made for my Mac. 1080p Just Cause 3 has never ran so good
Thanks for the video
Any options to configure fan curve for your GPU ? Need to change my fan speed to a lower value than the one amd has on 7900XT which is 23%
I believe not. You can mod the bios if you want to
Please work on my razer laptop… can’t wait to get home and try it. CPU hits 85c just basic gaming on Fallout 76 on medium graphics settings.
Idk why mine doesn't work, i have 3500u amd and change the adp but the watt usage doesn't change
irony is this works on my z8 g4 workstation to lift the tdp
I know 🤌🤌
What is the best settings to get cooler 5600X cpu?
